I honestly feel like this anime is trying its hardest to be Kamisama Kiss but failing miserably. The plot is weak and mostly just revolves around sexual jokes and gender bending mockery. The characters are just cookie cutter anime characters who don't really have anything special going for them. This series had the potential to be really cool because the premise is really engaging, A lonely girl with a spirit who decides to act as her father. Unfortunately it was incredibly disappointing and instead of being a heart-warming tale of a girl finding a family, it's just an awkward revere harem with no originality. The only thing that made me press on was the art style and the fact that the main fox guy was pretty cute. But overall I did not have a good time. Sorry but I don't recommend.

After finishing Gugure! Kokkuri-san I had to think to myself: What makes an anime good? Is it the person's expectations going in? Because I came for the comedy and at no point throughout the entirety of the show was I ever disappointed. In fact, comedy is the only thing that this show even makes an attempt at, and boy does it do it well; although there is a recurring message in the show if you can pick it out. This being said I'll try my best to tell you my thoughts on the show.

CHARACTERS- The show has a diverse and hilarious cast to ensure that you will laughing at, at least one of the five gags/jokes this show throws at you per minute.

I'm starting with characters because to be honest... If you don't like the characters you will not enjoy the show. Kokkuri himself is portrayed as an attractive spirit struggling with a mid-life crisis due to him fearing for his relevance in the the modern world. Although he's a man he has many intricacies that one would normally associate with women. This takes form (literally) later on in the show. Now Kohina can be a really hit or miss character with some people. Her design is extremely deformed in comparison to all of the other characters (which turns a lot of people off), but anyone who is familiar with "Oyasumi Punpun" should have at least some idea of whats really going on there. She is the center of all insanity that happens in each episode. Shigaraki was probably my favorite character although he started out as my least favorite. Another spirit who often brings misfortune to others, but despite this he is a true romantic. Inugami is yandere dog who died from neglect but was reincarnated into the world as a spirit. He/she gender swaps often due forgetting his/her gender in the previous life. Characters interactions were entertaining throughout.

SOUND/ART- My roommate walked in on me dancing to the opening and said "wtf are you doing bro." 

The opening is cleverly done, full of personality, and of course catchy as hell. The ending is good as well, and the shows OST is funny sounding... in the best way possible. As for the art I'd say its completely average. I mean sure it has a certain style to it, but in comparison to many other shows released this year there really is nothing notable about it.

STORY- Its serves its purpose as being the catalyst for the numerous gags, jokes, and satirical content this show offers.

From the first two episodes you will know whether this show is for you or not. The series seems to enjoy taunting its viewers with scenarios that in many other shows would be clear indicators of: DRAMA INCOMING! only to slap you along with your expectations across the face. This happens a lot. But its FUNNY EVERY TIME. Although I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to see some drama play out. Either way the synopsis pretty much says it all, and the way the story presents itself is favorable.

CONCLUSION- If you want some laughs look no further! This is your show! If you want anything else... Its a questionable endeavor.  Gintama aside, its quite rare to find anime such as Gugure!, which is of a satirical nature, that refrains from being distasteful. 

SHOULD WATCH:
-If Satire/parody is your thing, because this show has every western/Japanese pop culture gag you can think of.
-A decent anime to wind down with.
-Fun Characters that will grow on you.

SHOULD AVOID:
-If you want some sort of meaningful romance/drama.
-Some gags get repetitive

this anime have a very good Comedy in it this is the best if you want to laugh sometimes but this anime don't very have a real goal but we dont care about that the Comedy is good.. anyway lets begin

About The Story
the story begin with a loner girl and call Kokkuri-san and he come for real and become to have piety for this girl because she is nothing... LOOl okay i think u see what i mean ...... and now he begin to take care of her and live with her (Haunt They said..) and the story gonna continue like that without a real goal so yeah the story is not soo bad this is funny to watch

About The Animation and Sounds
the animation is good but... when they show a picture of the town or something like that.... this is look like not soo work but this is not gonna bother you too much ... the sounds are normal like every anime i think.. and the opening is very good i like this opening :D

About The Characters
all characters are funny but the little girl bother me too much sometimes this is the only character i dont like because she is stupid and stupid and too stupid...

Tama / i think this is my favorite character in this serie because she is a psycho and have a personality i like and this is a cat ! but anyway that my favorite one i think if we forgot about Kokkuri-san Female

Kokkuri-san / this guy is epic he have his place in this anime the Comedy with him is a real thing i have laugh soo much time with her , this is a very nice main character and a very good person / Kokkuri-san Female - dam she is soo fking over fking cute and a dream girl .. my god you gonna fall in love with her i think... she is too beautiful !

Inugami / a dog... a real dog...so i think you have already a idea what is gonna happen....this is a nice character too .. they are soo crual with him this is sad.. very sad for him...D: /Inugami Female - DAM ! in this version i freaking like this character i prefer when she is girl... she is soo pretty in a girl !

Shigaraki / this guy is a real nothing but he is a good guy too but not soo much because he can be bad too but anyway i dont have soo much thing to say about this one...

Kohina Ichimatsu / the little girl loner i dont very like her because of his mind and personality ... i dont like how she interact and be with the other but she is not soo much a b*t*h... but for me i dont like her she bother me :/ she is funny sometimes but not soo much i just dont like her...

About The Enjoymentthis serie is a great laugh material you gonna laugh this is guarranted if not.. this is alright... this is a fun serie you gonna have fun with this serie and laugh and.... other things like that.. they have put soo much weird things and this thing make the anime ridiculous and make you laugh this is the best Enjoyment you can have in this anime !

soo for be more simple if you want to laugh this is a good anime for laugh and have fun nothing more than that !

The jokes are witty, quick, and well-executed and will surely get you laughing out loud. Amidst all the chaos and commotion, Gugure Kokkuri-san occasionally slows down to include touching moments, which I believe is a plus to get to know the characters better. Ordinary scenarios quickly escalate to the absurd, adding to the show's comedic brilliance. Anything could happen (and I can assure you, it does), which keeps you waiting to see what will happen next.

Gugure! Kokkuri-san has successfully kept me entertained the whole time and if you're a fan of comedy shows, this is the one to watch. Easily a favorite of all time.

This anime will make you love cup noodles simply because of the protagonist,The so called Human Doll that is emotionless to everything around her called Kohina, plays the ghost game Kokkuri-San, and what should be the beginning of her being haunted, in which case, she did, by the the Ghost Fox Kokkuri-San, Kokkuri-San now lives with Kohina and tries to stop her love for noodles by cooking her actual well balanced meals, but sooner than later Kohina is followed by other spirits.

This story is so to speak average, but everything else about the anime compensates and balances itself pretty well, the comedy is very decent, characters are enjoyable and full of life, the development however, is depending on your source of interest, it more or less depends on how you look at the growth of the characters, but all in all the animation is decent as well, it offers some pretty unique material (Kohina for example) and it keeps you engaged from episode 1 despite the sound, but wether you enjoy it with sound or not, like I said, you'll actually pick up the want to have more cup noodles!

A fast paced comedy with a loli-cute character living in a household with demons/adults. There are a lot of jokes towards pedophilia, pg-13 violence, satire of human ignorance, and random slaps in the face feels. Watching this face paced anime will have you laughing and feeling for the protagonist, and there's rarely a dull moment.

Gugure!Kokkuri-san is one of those series that was fun while it lasted. It's thatanime you start watching with no expectations, and it comes out being a seriesyou either love or not.

It mainly revolves around four characters: the doting,parent-like Kokkuri, the masochistic and attention-seeking Inugami, thelaidback and lazy Shigaraki, and my favourite character, Kohina, the adorable, cup-noodle-loverand self-proclaimed doll. The characters were the central point for thisseries. Unfortunately, the characters are pretty forgettable, except forKohina. Kohina is a character you don’t see every day. Her dry humour, cold andemotionless moe-ness makes her an endearing character.

The plot is episodic, as it mainly involves the main castbumping into a character that usually has a problem, although they are usuallycomical - each episode is either hit-or-miss.

The art and animation is nice. It’s nothing too flashy, with alot of background scenes that look like traditional Japanese hand-drawn paintings.The main colours include warm, brown-ish colours – especially for backgroundscenes.

I’ll admit: I didn’t really pay attention to the sound. They weren’tanything too spectacular but they were catchy. The voices were great: with famous VAs such as Ono Daisuke (Shizuo Heiwajima, Sebastian Michaelis), Sakurai Takahiro (Kurururugi Suzaku, Cloud Strife, Uta from TG) and Nakata Jouji (Kotomine Kirei, Alucard). Kohina's voice was well done: cute yet monotone.

As for enjoyment, I enjoyed this series. Like I stated above, eachepisode was either hit-or-miss. There were some episodes where I was laughingmy head off, but there were some episodes where I was blankly staring at thescreen.

If you’re contemplating whether to watch Gugure! Kokkuri San ornot: try it. This series is not for everyone, but I personally love the satireand characters.

Omg this is the best anime of 2014 for me at least. this is a anime about a  girl named Kohina who calls herself a doll with no emtion but in reality she is a normal girl. on the first episode she summons a spirit named Kokkuri-san who was planning on haunting her but he soon finds out she all alone and has a horrible eating habit that is Cup of Noodles so in the end he does haunt her so he can protect her.  but all in all this anime is really adorable and funny as heck so much i couldnt stop smiling at everything that happens. Also the OP and ED are the most amazing thing out of the whole anime i found myself listening them for hours. but all in all if you like cute and funny anime go and watch this you wont regret it. STAY HAPPY!

There is almost no plot here so far. During 3 episodes 3 different "gods" start haunting a little girl, who is living alone and adores instant noodles. And so far it's just depiction of their daily lives together. More like sketches, than something with a centralized plot.
This is another anime, which does not need an actual plot, because it's based on humor and characters. Main attraction for me is Kohina, the mentioned girl, whobehaves as if she has no emotions. In fact she calls herself a doll. She is deliberately drawn as a chibi, with rectangle empty eyes, but even in this form it's impossible not to adore her. And when you see her in full glory.. It will be hard not to fall for her. There is also the Kokurri-san mentioned in the title, who is a fox-god, who... Basically tries to feed Kohina some good food, instead of her eating instant noodles all the time. It's the main reasons he decided to haunt her, actually. And there is Inugami (dog-god), who is a masochists, who wants to belong to Kohina. He's got kind of a fascist look, and can turn into a hot girl and a little purple dog (Kokkuri can turn into a little fox, whom Kohina likes to pet, since he is fluffy). In 3rd episode a tanuki-god appeared, but I can't say anything about him yet.
The art is nothing special, except for Kohina (and Kohina-dolls), who is speechlessly adorable. She really stands out.
My verdict is: if you are looking for something deep - stay away. If you're looking for some laughs (some jokes are quite smart, actually) - take a look at this one. It takes home 7/10 from me (since I'm lewd in life Seitokai Yakuindomo still has my heart in this genre)

I've just seen the first episode and I don't know what to think.

I'm not even sure what this is supposed to be about, the animation is okay along with the interaction between characters but there is literally no soundtrack ? Throughout all the comedy/funny scenes there was no music at all which really takes a toll on the anime as I think it could of been a lot better if there was an actual ost added in.

Will try out the second episode in hopes that it will get better but so far I'm just very confused with this.
