Overall, an excellent series but it suffers from being unfaithful to the original game with the anime at times taken serious deviations from the plot of the game and in many ways changing the relationship between characters.

The anime also gives references to historical events and in some ways mirrors the second world war. It achieves it with mixed results at times but overall it does well and is an enjoyable experience. Just don't expect the story to parallel the game.

this a Millitary genre but a with a very nice build up i can't imagine someone hating this anime and a game exist of this serie , you have all the good thing you need in a Millitary genre this is freaking awesome lets begin !

About The Story
the beginning of this anime take a special turn you will not see her come thats not what i have expect i can say thats better than what i have expected , i think you already know the story will be in the Wars but you have some Romance story in it and thats correctly fit with the storyline they never throw the story for something stupid and i can say this is better than other stupid anime who have only breats and others shit like that with no story and take all the attention... so anyway this anime is better than what i have expected i give her a hands of applause for this beautiful story with a real logic .. ! dont forget about the drama in that ,  this is fking good !

About The Animation and Soundsthe animation have a special style and i like it thats something i very like in the animation and all the other s are normal like everytime.. and for the sounds thats the same but the Opening are nice and for the Ending they are calm if we can say it like that i will leave the link of the Opening , the Ending will come soon

About The Charactersthe characters are all alright but will talk about only some characters because you have lot of character in this one soo the more important..but i just gonna talk about some secondary characters too

Welkin Gunther / i really like the attitude of Welkin compared to some others characters in others anime i think he have a unique attitude and thats fking great because he is a little airhead but have a good strategic mind i think this character is pretty unique in his genre

Alicia Melchiott / this girl bake bread but this is a good soldier too i can say she can be a very kind girl and you already know this is a good character , but you gonna discover something about her if you watch the anime so i will not say more about it ! you gonna like his charm anyway :D

Faldio Landzaat / the friend of Welkin but this is the commander of the 1st Squad thats a cool guy and friend he will be here everytime you gonna need him , but dont abuse..

Largo Potter and Rosie / at the beginning you can think this 2 who are already in the millitary unit are real fuckers but you gonna see they are not soo asshole than you think this is 2 nice characters with a past you gonna discover later , dont judge too fast !
Isara Gunther / this is the sister of Welkin , i think this loveable character she is calm everytime and know the mechanic so she can repare tanks and others things like that if you know what i mean by that , she can build some things too !

Jann Walker / i want to talk about him because he have making me laugh sometimes he is gay but very funny sometimes xD

Selvaria Bles / this girl is a little bad ass thats what i like with this character she is serious everytime and dont fk with her , she have a bad past too but you need to discover it during the anime !

About The Enjoyment
seriously this anime is awesome i can't imagine someone hating it and really if someone dislike this i think he have very a crappy taste.. or the only reason can be because Millitary is not his genre , anyway yeah thats pretty cool to watch you want too see what happen after each episode you have a lot of action and drama in it thats making the anime more better so yeah i have enjoy it at 100%

so in big guys thats freaking great this is more better for you if you have played the game or just like Millitary genre with Drama and Romance this a anime to not miss and on my point i think this is super rare to hate a anime like this one so go watch it now !

EDIT: Original review is bolded- I no longer have the same views on this anime. It is not something one cannot miss, nor is it a "great" story. The anime takes a rather unrealistic approach to romance in war, where the romantic plots are advanced in the middle of combat through lengthy dialogue sequences. It's worth a watch, but I would recommend the game over the anime

--This anime is an adaptation of a ps3 game. I've never played it myself, but I have played others of the series. That is besides the point, however, as this anime is a great watch. Everything from story to music is great. It's a hell of a ride and if you're looking for a great war story with some romance and tragedy thrown in, this is an anime you can't miss. It has it's ups and downs, but it is a personal favorite of mine.--
