Probably the first anime I ever watched, aside from Pokémon. It used to start airing a little while before I came back from Kindergarten every day so I was never able to watch the first few minutes of each episode. Nevertheless, I loved the concept of everyone having sentient AI pals (even as a little kid, I loved technology) and I really enjoyed the action.
Once I got older, I discovered that the anime was based on a series of GameBoy Advance games. I played and finished all of them and they're still my favorite video games to this day. The story in the games is also MUCH better (albeit totally impossible) and the characters are richer as well. It saddens me that they dumbed down the story in the anime so much in order to appeal to even younger children. If you like old games, I recommend giving at least the first MegaMan.EXE game a try.
I loved the series as a little kid and I enjoyed watching it as a teenager although it's obvious that toddlers are the unfortunately the target audience.
