In Space Dandy 2, the fun continues. Normally I'm afraid second seasons won't be as great as the first (Hamatora, Kuroshitsuji), but not this time. In fact, it might be a tad better.
The soundtrack is still wonderful, the animation is still beautiful, and Dandy's adventures are still as fun to watch. I think the episodes in season 2 were more enjoyable, and there's also more of a story towards the end. My only complaint is that it seems to be more focused on Dandy. QT and Meow get less screen time, which is unfortunate, because the three of them together enhances the comedic element of the show for sure.
Gotta love Dandy. That's all I have to say.

Space Dandy's second season is about what you would expect from Bones. Its, in a sense, the same as the first season with its far-out episode ideas and groovy concepts. I mean it's Dandy for god's sake you either love it or you don't. This season, however, has something the first lacked. Experience. The staff behind Dandy has clearly found their niche with the second season. One of the biggest problems with the first season was that most of the episodes felt unpolished. Not bad, but clearly missing that one small "thing" that made it truly strike home with the viewer. In the second season you don't feel the same inexperienced style, but instead find yourself captivated by their ability to tell a complete and coherent short story within their ~23 minute time constraint. Do they still throw in the occasional goofy episode? Sure they do; if they didn't it wouldn't be Dandy! It should also be mentioned that Dandy has one of THE BEST payoffs of any anime ever. Watch from episode 1 alllll the way to episode 24 and you'll understand EVERYTHING.
