Well then, considering that S2 is coming up, and I've already reviewed S1, may as well do the OVA right?
Also, since the OVA heavily ties into S1, I'm going to be discussing some spoilers from S1, so if you haven't seen S1, first of all read that review first, second of all when you see "Spoiler Zone" just scroll past it to avoid spoilers.
Unless you don't care, in which case, read away.
Now.
The story continues a little after from where S1 left off, and comes in two main parts despite only having 25 minutes.
Part one is more of the harem comedy from S1, and does pretty much nothing to drive the story forward, but it's still entertaining enough to keep you from complaining.
Part two however, is much more serious.

Since S1 ended with the romance between Ichika and Houki coming to fruition there's obviously going to be some repercussions, and this part of the OVA is exactly that.
Also, instead of taking place from Ichika's point of view, it is done from Houki's, so we also get a lot of her thoughts on the situation.
I don't know if this was deliberate, but you actually share a few of Houki's feelings as you watch (unless you're fans of the other girls). It only happened once or twice but in hindsight it's interesting whether or not this was intentional.
Speaking of Houki, she also explains why Ichika gives all the girls equal attention despite the fact that he clearly has feelings for Houki. The reasoning is a little cliche, and most people will probably have worked it out, but hey, it works.
The ending was a great addition to the story, and actually measures up to the ending of S1, but it isn't exactly original. Nonetheless, it was satisfying enough not to annoy me, yet still left me wanting more.

The animation and sound are mostly the same as S1 with a few exceptions. Most of the soundtrack is slower and less upbeat, it still matches the situation well but there's no tracks which really stand out compared to the rest.
The animation is as good as it was, but there's no mech battles or awesome action scenes, and they appear to have been a bit more lax with their censorship (it only happens once very breifly, don't go freaking out).
Even so, sound and animation will get the same ratings as my S1 review.
The characters are also the same as S1, with only two them getting real development and one side character getting some of the limelight, but the majority stay the same.
However, I'll be giving the characters one more point than my S1 review since I liked the development.
Overall it's a good addition to the series. If you watched S1 and liked it, then this is for you, especially with S2 coming up.
If you watched S1 for the action or comedy, and didn't really care much for the story or romance, you don't really need to see this, but I'd still recommend it.
If you saw S1 and really didn't like it, this probably isn't going to change your mind.
