Truth is, I had to watch them twice, and have not yet watched the movie, but these two OVAs are some of my favorite pieces of comedy I've ever watched, and can't get enough off.

The comedy is well though out, even though some of the jokes and gags don't translate well, but you get their gravity from the overall feel.

The animation is superb, and so is the sound, all complimenting the characters and story without overpouring them in any way.

If you are sceptical about watching this, don't. It's more than worth your time.

Wow, when my friend sent my this link I was skeptical, but it was so GOOD AND FUNNY.
In this anime Jesus and Buddah are roommates and Oh my God, it's hilarious! The two deities take a 'vacation' to Tokyo, Japan - meanwhile they're trying their best to hide their identities, and make fun of each others religion.   Defiantly worth watching.

Jesus Christ, and Gautama Buddha. Ever heard of them? You've got to be living under a rock not to have.

This anime is a very light hearted comedy which explores one of the most peculiar storylines that I have ever come across. Jesus and his good buddy Buddha, are living together in a apartment, in Tokyo, undercover. That is essentially that main plot.

Storyline

You may think to yourself, "Well, what is there even to see?". I assure you. The storyline is absolutely first-class! There are many jokes with religious motifs; even better that they are all positive and preach virtue!

Throughout the show you will never be victimised by boredom. Every plot ends with a incredibly funny event, which only makes you want to carry on watching.

Since there isn't a solid storyline, it's difficult to say much without spoiling it for you :P But my opinion is that the plot is truly rich, both in laughter and enjoyment!

Animation

I can at times be a little harsh on this topic, though I wouldn't say that the visuals are bad, neither particularly good. It definitely isn't disappointing nor anything significant to put you off watching this anime.

Sound

There isn't really much to say. It's not the main focus of this anime and is pretty mediocre. Don't go in expecting any amazing, mind-blowing audio. As the audio is not the main focal point of this story (:

Character

Perhaps the epitome of this anime. The character development, I felt, was incredible. You immediately form a bond with the two very innocent, and naive characters; you just can't help but like them! There's a sweet spot in their virtuous and loving actions, which really made the show enjoyable.

Enjoyment

Funny as hell!

Funny. You can pretty much sum up the whole anime with that one word. Overused as it is, it certainly has lost its gravity. But this anime is by far one of the most funniest anime I've seen. Hilarious and full of laughter rich material.

Overall I really, really did enjoy this. Coming to tears several times, the laughter was brilliant. I assure you, that for more than 80% of your time watching, you'll be smiling and thoroughly enjoying this series.

Recommended, do watch.
