Story in this movie was well made and was never a downer i saw no problem in it and also the movie ending was amazing. Animation was still same amazing like the anime and did good job though the whole movie. Sound Was amazing and very suitable at the places it was. Character's were just the same as there were in the anime full of character. Overall I really Enjoyed this and think you should watch this after the anime series because this would make you cry by the end.

Get ready to cry for the last 20 minutes!
The animation is so good and they explained almost everything. My only question is "What the hell is akihito mom? " like, srs what is she, why does she knows everything?
LOVE IT

When I first came upon Kyoukai no Kanata, amid the hoard of other anime at the time like Attack of Titan and Free!, I could only admire the series as the precious gem it was. Flawed, no doubt, but... somehow very special to me.
Now, I can finally write about the series's sequel, and just how it surpassed the anime in quality.
Story:
In the original 12-part series, the story felt a bit lacking by the time the finale came around. Big questions were left unanswered. How the hell did Mirai come back? What exactly is the Cursed Blood clan? Where the hell is Izumi? How did things turn out in the end? Fortunately, Mirai Hen answered all these questions and more.
I'll try not to spoil much, but we are given more insight to Mirai's backstory and the cursed blood clan, and development for all the characters, really. Akihito Kanbara still shines as an amazing male protag, and still as my favorite male character in a series to date.
And, of course, things take a dark turn in this movie, but not without a good ending to top it all off.
Animation and Sound:
The animation of this film was superb. But what else would you expect from Kyoto Animation? The fight scenes were absolutely flawless and the environments were filled with life. I did not think the animation of the original series could be beaten but I stand corrected.
The score of the movie was great, nothing too special. I honestly missed the soundtrack of the original series but that's just me.
Character:
Oh, have I forgotten everyone's burning desire for there to be romance between Mirai and Akihito? Because finally, Mirai Hen fulfills this wish and finally gives Akihito and Mirai the happy ending they deserve. (I still cry a little)
And like I said, Aki was 10/10 in this movie.
Enjoyment:
I lost count of how many times I cried throughout the duration of the film. Although it's been a while since I (re)watched the original series, I was hit like a brick with nostalgia and a reawakened love for these characters. All of them. And Kyoto Animation delivered in a quality story that beautifully made ends meet and concluded everything. I loved it.
Overall:
It's a great movie. Even greater for the fans of the series dying to see how it all comes to a close. If you haven't seen the series, do it. The anime and the movie are both worth your time.
