Better animation, story and rivals! I could not ask for more. Hajime no Ippo is one of the greatest anime that is out there. Hajime no Ippo rising just made it more addicting. Fighting animation, character graphics, story line that gives me goose bumps. Perfect!

Hajime ippo is a good great dissection of the mindset, intensity and power felt in a real fight, brought into stellar animation, realistic setting and power and powerful development for many characters (not only as a fighter but as a character in general.) It takes the musical power that we all get from shows like dragon ball that just make you want to get up and throw punches, and it makes every hit look as intense as it feels. Each fight has a different rhythm and you really never know who is going to win a match. The show only has one flaw to me, and that is the voice acting. As far as I know, there is no English dub, nor will there ever be. Not only that, but the character voices never really fill me with as much intensity as their words really should. Still, I can easily look this over, as it quickly fades and you loose yourself in the amazing choreography, animation and story. If you like fighting anime, but don't want energy blast and magic involved, this is the show for you!
