Demon King Daimao

いちばんうしろの大魔王

Dreaming of changing the world for good, Akuto Sai transfers to Constant Magic Academy where he befriends a virtuous ninja clan member, Junko Hattori. On the way to the academy, they vow to make the world a better place together; however, the situation suddenly takes a turn for the worse upon his arrival—it is prophesied that he will become the Demon King! As word of his destiny spreads, the school begins to fear him, and Junko's trust in him falters. While Akuto is determined to not let his predicted future control his fate, it seems as though everything he says and does only serve to reinforce the fact that he is destined to be the Demon King. Moreover, he is surrounded by a harem of beautiful girls who each have their own plans for him, ranging from bringing him to justice to simply showering him with love. With his newly awakened powers, Akuto must cope with his constantly growing list of misfortune and fight to prove that his fate is not set in stone. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

I love this anime!  The first episode I couldn't stop laughing.  I seriously freaked out my cat.  The last episode's ending is perfect!  I would recommend this anime to anyone.

Worth a single watch. Its plain, nothing stands out and the pacing of the story just flys by. you can tell that the people who worked on this had no passion, no time and little money. the plot itself is good, the sound is good every thing  else just feels rushed.

Demon King Daimao
Story: 7 Akuta Sai enrolls in a school, where they teach magic and tell you your destiny. He finds out he is the Demon King. Who will change the fate of the world. The story is solid and kinda intersting. Is highly driven by fanservice though so be forewarned.

Animation: Solid but nothing special

Opening: 6 Is a catchy song but the art animation is just average.

Characters: Demon King: Is funny and is an actual strong Harem Lead.                               Korone: Is a robot who helps The Demon King out, while also tempting him. and is the loli.                                                                                                     Junko: is a hot badass with swords. Who is the Female lead and a damn good one at that.                                                                                                          Fuhiko: annoying Hiroshi: beyond annoying. The president is very much underused, could of been an awesome character.

Enjoyment: 7 Easy to follow anime, with action, tits, and panties.

Overall 7/10

I can't think of a good way to start this off, not that this show deserves one anyway... simply put the show is just pure garbage.

Story: So um... there's this guy named Akuto Sai who goes to a generic magic academy in the hopes of becoming a high priest and help other people and be a nice guy in general. He goes over to do an exam and talks to some fortune telling cigar smoking crow with glasses (yeah... really) who can predict their future occupations and stuff. The crow thing predicts that he (Akuto) is going to be a demon king in the future and is prophesized to destroy the world which has caused most of the people an uproar and they pretty much hate the guy and want him dead and stuff. I say most of the people in school because apparently for some reason the girls... are actually turned on by this? What kind of a harem is this anyway? And pointless comedic misunderstandings and fanservice ensue... oh joy.

And yeah, that is pretty much the majority of the show basically. The other parts are for the action scenes with magic and shouting and shit, which is not that impressive to be honest. Its just there because its a magic anime but the fight scenes are pretty lackluster and/or boring. The story is a disjointed mess and goes all around the place (from being serious to silly and there's no pacing in between either) that you can't invest in it because of that.

Oh yeah, there's also a sub-plot where the main character's best friend is prophesized to be the hero to defeat the demon king. Interesting plot point for some drama and development but sadly it doesn't go anywhere...

Characters: The characters are not that great either. Aside from Akuto, all the characters are under developed and are not interesting in the slightest. Akuto is a pretty brave and kind guy, even after being treated like crap by almost everyone in the show because of his 'future occupation', he still tries to do the right thing in the end and is a very kind hearted guy. He's not wimpy either, he's a vey strong and bad-ass type of dude (being the demon king and all...). Only thing that bothers me about him is how everyone treats him, its either crap or a lust object and its not funny or sexy to see stuff like that happen to him.

The others are no better. His childhood friend Kena is a spunky nice girl who loves rice and annoys Akuto to no end despite the fact that they do care for each other. They don't interact much or explain why they are even friends sadly but I feel it could be a bit stronger if he maybe ended up with her or something (but I'll get to that later). There is a moment where it shows that they do have a backstory with the orphanage and such, but its also made clear that neither one remembers it so... that's real nice.

The love interest is a tsundere (one of the worst ones ever) named Junko who is a blue haired girl who is arranged by her family to marry Akuto and is in a training fighting dojo with a sort of protective father and no mom (why does this sound similar? *cough* Akane Tendo from Ranma 1/2 *cough*). The source of the comedic misunderstandings are mostly from her, as far as I can remember. She goes from loving to hating him in a matter of seconds which is kind of... weird and dumb.

The rest of the characters are either too annoying, too bland, or too horny. Sometimes they're all three. Worst part is they don't get much screen time and do not even serve much to the story so they're basically useless and pointless.

Animation: The animation is pretty standard in all honesty although it can be pretty choppy here and there. The character designs are also very lackluster and also look very similar to other characters. Kena kind of looks like Kotori from Date A Live, Junko as I said before, looks like Akane from Ranma 1/2 (she even had the same characteristics as her too! Are they even trying?), and Korone looks like Minami from Lucky Star. Its so unoriginal. The others aren't any better. Also Akuto looks like every other generic protagonist out there in these types of anime. There is no creativity in this show (speaking of, do not get me started on the fantasy world, it looks just like our world >.

Sound: The sound is one of the only good things about the anime. The voice acting is basic and generic just like all the characters but its not that bad and painful unlike the characters. The opening on the other hand is really good and is pretty kick-ass. The ending I don't remember much and is pretty forgettable though.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFG8IpDHyhc

Enjoyment: The enjoyment is very low. None of the episodes were fun, all it had was stupid misunderstandings, fan service, annoying dialogue, a rushed and stupid climax (but hey, at least there's no stupid misunderstandings in it!), and an ending which is terrible book end to the beginning of the anime and is a HUGE slap in the face. Ugh...

Overall: Overall, this anime is garbage. The story was pretty dumb but it could have worked and have been interesting, but its execution killed any and all potential. There are better magic, fantasy, harem, and even better ecchi anime than this... I do not recommend this anime, not even for the fan service since the story is really bad and the ecchi somehow makes it even worse.

...Actually if you're really desperate for fan service and don't really care for plot then maybe you could see a few episodes of this and that's all.

Just... go watch the awesome opening instead, that's about all the entertainment you can possibly get in this abomination anyway... or watch Maoyu, it has a similar idea but a better execution (or so I've heard).

Thanks for reading my 53rd review...

Alright, I'll admit it, I liked Ichiban Ushiro no Daimao a lot. I know a lot of people who hate on it a lot too, but I feel that IUnD is just plain mindless entertainment. It's enjoyable even with its overdone fanservice and shallow characters. That's where IUnD shines. Pure, unadulterated entertainment.

Story

The story goes about a young man by the name of Sai Akuto as he enrols in a magic academy, only to find out that he is the demon lord. So of course, a lot of chicks spring up around him. Tsundere blue haired love interest, kuudere green haired observer, red haired go-lucky girl who knew him in the past, and many more. There isn't really much to say about the story without spoiling it any more, because there isn't really much going for it. It's just enjoyable with all the magic battles and shit.

Animation

Well the animation was pretty good, with all that magic battles and shit. The characters were pretty well animated and drawn as well, not to mention the overdone fanservice.

Sound

Even though the voice acting was okay, the music was nothing to write home about. I didn't find anything that I got attracted to, making me want to go and buy or download that track right away. It was fitting and all, but nothing great.

Character

Like I mentioned earlier, there are many token, stereotypical characters in IUnD. Other than the stereotypical harem girls, you have the cheering on the side (who gets a bigger role later) side-kick of the main character, the elusive loli student council president (who happens to be my favourite <3 ), and the main character himself, who is the demon lord. I suppose there is character development and stuff between the characters, but it's nothing much to write home about. Oh, and PETERHAUSEN IS THE BEST OF THEM ALL. YES.

Enjoyment

This is where it really kicks in. Even if you aren't too into fanservice, the magic is what keeps it all going. There aren't many anime with magic put into such a general practice, like magic trains and all that, even though there are plenty of manga out there that do (Mx0, Mahouka Koukou, etc). Though I must admit, the fanservice does get in the way of it a bit too much. Also, PETERHAUSEN MAKES EVERYTHING WORTH IT.

Overall

All in all, Ichiban Ushiro no Daimao (Demon King Daimao) is an anime that doesn't have too much substance to it, but thanks to the few gimmicks here and there, it manages to cover all that. It is an anime purely for enjoyment and fanservice, in both the ecchi meaning and pleasing meaning.

Story:

Mediocre. that's how describe this story, Ichiban gives nothing to brag about to people who hasn't seen it unlike Rainbow: Nisha Rokubou shicinin you can watch the first episode and say " I saw Rainbow have you?". This show has nothing but the fanservice, which is the best about it. I remember when the boy became a "superhero" and just fucked everything up
(after that epsiode the story was all over the place). The episode was the worst one out of the whole series. Then, they tried to tie it in with the series by saying(SPOILER ALERT) " I gave you this as a way to defeat the demon king." FAILED! you'll rember nothing about this once you watch something better like me.

Animation:

The animation was not on par with something like SAO. Pretty much the animation just good and nothing special.

Sound:

I heard every word.

Character:

The first series where I actually gave an one. Junko Hattori first appearance was panty-shot or loincloth-shot and her character she falls in love with the MC because she learns that his intentions are not evil blah, blah, blah every other female is like this any girl who becomes apart of the harem is, and other females. MC was wimpy then cool not badass just cool.

Enjoyment:

I enjoyed boobs and panty-shot, etc.
