I'll start this by saying: This anime was made for me. You are not me, but hopefully you're similar enough to enjoy it like I did. So, should you watch Prison School? Yes. And you should tell me how you liked it because I envy you so much. You're still able to watch Prison School for the first time, while that time has passed for me. Onto the review!

Guess I'll go in order...STORY!
I don't quite know how to judge the story. It follows five guys(burgers and fries) in a the previously all girls private school, Hachimitsu Private Academy. This is the first year that boys are allowed in and this is their story. Why were only five let in? Good question. I'm sure the manga, which I'll start reading tonight, does a better job describing it, as it certainly wasn't test scores based on the fact that all the guys have their moments of idiocy. If you look past the unlikely scenario of these few guys being the only ones there, then it's much more enjoyable. Just accept that these are the characters, this is where they are, and why? Because the story demands it. Now, "where does the prison come in," asked the young and eager anime fan. Well, young and eager anime fan, the prison is is housed within the school. The center of the courtyard. Why does this school have a prison? Because the story demands it. Honestly, the only real complaint I have with the show is the first episode. It doesn't explain much beyond the bare essentials and exists solely for the purpose of putting the characters you'll grow to love in the situation that the title describes. Other than that, it's broken into two arcs. First being a planned breakout, and last is operation DTO. The story itself is fairly good, but it's definitely a show that lives in the moment. The overall story isn't as important as the absurd situations and events that take place because of it. I almost feel the "story" should get a lower score because it seemingly only exists to create these moments, but it's still executed well, and the moments elevate it far beyond what some would consider the meat of an anime.

Animation!I'll have to be honest here. There have been a lot of high quality shows to come out in recent years, and Prison School doesn't share the same technical achievements as they do. Now, the art, character designs, and facial expressions are absolutely perfect, but how they move, interact with the environment, and the motion of the backgrounds is just what I've come to expect from any modern anime. Still, it does play to those stand out moments I mentioned earlier. There was definitely quite a bit of thought put into the storyboard and how to properly adapt this from stills to animation. It would be simpler if I could score art and animation separately, but this is what I've got.

Sound!Another place where I'd like to distinguish. This time music from voice acting. The voice acting(Japanese) was amazing. Every character was on beat and I I thought everyone's voice fit with their design and personality. Music is a little harder. I would say it's again average. I really like the opening, but I'm remembering back, I didn't think I'd love this show as much as I do because I basically went in blind, and I didn't really care for the opening the first time I heard it. But as the show grew on me, so did the opening. For everything else, well, it fits. It fits but it doesn't stand out. It sets the tone of every scene, but it doesn't make an effort to be anything amazing. Just good.

Characters!They have personality. It's often hard to see an anime character as more than a place holder going on a pre-determined path, but I found myself highly invested in the lives and misfortunes of our main five. Other than them, though, Hana and Chiyo are the only ones who get any real development. You could argue for Meiko, but she pretty much just fills her role of being a dom to the boys. I can't not mention Kurihara, though. The school's chairman and a true brother of mine. I also found his speech pattern pretty funny.

Enjoyment!I enjoyed this show. Very much. Where comedy in anime can more often miss its mark, Prison School hit me with gut-busting laughter multiple times an episode. But that's because it fit my sense of humor. I'm someone who likes wildly absurd situations and depraved people. Anything that's shocking, over the top, and not socially acceptable makes me wet. If you're like me, you'll like this.

Overall!I don't really care to put anything here. This section is for the people who don't care to read a review in its entirety and just want to cheat their way to the end. If you started reading here, I have no respect for you. I pity you even. Think of how much will just pass you by because of the kind of person you are. Rather than being a filthy cheater, you should live your life to its fullest and never do anything unless you're going to see it all the way through. Those are just my words of wisdom. I've typed long enough. Prison School is fantastic and everyone should watch it.

At first when I read the synopsis I was like '...what the...?' but having watched it I can thoroughly say I enjoyed it, the male characters were exaggerated persona's of your typical teenage boys, but weren't so over the top to not be relatable, in my opinion anyway. The female characters were a bit more exaggerated but that didn't stop them from being enjoyable characters, Personally I found Hana to be my favourite character overall, followed closely by Gakuto.

All in all I would recommend this anime to anyone who doesn't mind a bit of fan service with an enjoyable plot attached to it, and if you don't like fan service then give it a watch anyway, may change your mind.

Although it looks like just an ecchi series with a prison theme it's actually more similar to death note, and can be summed up as a battle of wits. The strategies that are employed are extremely well thought out and the characters are developed and interesting. The pacing is definitely off especially in the beginning but as the series progresses you really grow to love these characters. The story is engaging and you really want to root for them to succeed. The animation is fairly smooth and consistent although it doesn't look that good compared to the manga. The voice acting kind of makes up for this but it's still not enough. Sometimes the sound effects that were used were a little strange and took me out of the experience but all in all the sound department was great (the music really helped to make some of the scenes!). 
Although I still think the manga is superior the Prison School anime was incredibly enjoyable and definitely worth a watch! Even if you are put off by the sexual nature of the school I still highly recommend it as both a hilarious comedy and a really clever prison break kind of show.

This anime is the best I`ve seen in a long time. The humor it has and the way they do it is amazing. I`m pretty sure they took some of my fantasies to make this anime. From the ridiculous things they do for such small rewards, the exaggeration of the story-line, HANA, the way the school chairman speaks, a wide array of character types, so good. It crosses boarders and owns up to it.

If I could change 1 thing though, is reduce the breast size of the Vice Presidents boobs, sometimes its a little much :P. Also make the anime last forever.

i think this anime is in the Top 5 of the summer season this is a really funny anime i have laugh soo much with it i hope to see more.. i think we gonna have a Season 2 because of the end i will not saying more about it.. ! lets begin !

About The Story
the guys got into a school who have only girls and just have beginning to hired boy in this school so they are the only 5 boys in this school but have decided to peek in the girl bath and got imprisoned by the rule because they have break the rule.. , so the story is about to turn around this .. they will need to stay here 1-3 month without being free and they cannot try to escape the prison or they can be expelled after 3 time they try to escape so yeah... they will need to deal with it.. , but a lot of more interesting things will happen but i just cannot say it.. because thats can spoil but this is very nice no doubt about it.. i think this is guarranted LOOOl

About The Animation and Soundswell the animation is clearly unique the graphics are awesome and i recommand to watch the Blu-Ray version for the Uncensored , for the sounds they are both awesome i will leave you the link of it

i think the most characters in this anime are awesome.. without forget about the Chair... MAN !

Chairman / my most favorite character is this guy man... he is soo awe..SOME ! and very funny too without forget his awesome personali...TY ! everyone will like this one this is for sure.. he very like... ASS ! more than anything this is like a obsession or a passion for... HIM ! i will never forget this cool charac..TER !

the 5 guys in the prison / well we can say they live the hell in this prison .. but they are really funny because of their personality and... well i don't know what to say about them.. i will let you judge them

Mari Kurihara / she have a very nice look and i very like his serious attitude thats a very nice character with high authority .. and she is pretty beautiful :3 and she like crow ! look like they control them or something

Meiko Shiraki / the more strong girl of the school she like training and she sure of her .. and yeah the most of time.... she become wet.. , this is a pretty nice character too and can be kind xD..

Hana Midorikawa / this girl is a special case.. look like innocent but a killer machine who know martial-art .. for be short she is dangerous.. the most people like this girl.. and she have the voice of Mayushi from Stein;Gate LOOOL 

About The Enjoyment
thats impossible to not be entertained by this anime i have laugh a lot of time because of the Chairman with his error.. LOOOL.... without forget what happen with the 5 guys in the prison this serie is very funny this guarranted you will not be bored at.... ALL !

don't miss this anime thats funny as f**k and i think they will do a continue because of the end i will not say anything for not destroy the punch.. ! you really need to watch this anime if you like Comedy because this one will clearly making you... LAUGH !

A show that, at first, was uncomfortable to watch for me because of the major sexual nature, but then I got over it and was actually excited to see what happened next in every episode. It is very funny mostly because of how over the top it is with everything. Basic summary is 5 boys who entered a school that used to be only for girls. One day, they try to peek on them in the locker room, but get caught. Instead of expulsion, they get to a prison like place for what was at first one month. As it goes, the student council set them up, to further the time or even to get them expelled.

I will tell you about this anime as short as possible. There is for some reason a prison in the middle of the school and no one questions it because you know 'Japan~'. You will encounter one of the best masochistic perverted group you will ever see in your whole life, they will go full try hard mode to get out of the most dire situations as they are in this prison life.

Queue in 'underground' student council basically the S. One of them is so busty I think she can surpass Tifa in who has a bigger bust size, her weapon is a whip. Going for that S. The other uses her legs, she could do the equivalent of a falcon kick and then you have the president. Who for some reason can use crows. You have the other players like horny head master, baldie and an actual love interest. Although its not heavy on romance and is more on comedy it does good.

So should you watch this with characters like these? Yes, yes you should. Although the light hearted should stray away from this one.

I'm currently at the latest chapter of the Manga and honestly, the first episodes are kind of a dissapointment. They feel rushed, uneven paced and the art isn't really nice to look at and the censoring of the Vice Presidents private parts almost seem like blasphemie. Still, the humor is great, the slapstick awesome and Gakutos facial expressions are as hilarious as the Manga version. VA fit their roles mostly perfect, even though I imagined a much deeper voice for the chairman, but that's just a personal opinion. Overall, Prison School seems to be one of the better Anime of this summer season and I highly recommend reading the Manga.
