It’s a cat! No a doughnut! But wouldn’t eat it! It’s a Donyatsu!
A cat in the shape and size of a doughnut….Can it get any weirder? I guess not. It’s not eatable for sure!

Set in a abandoned Tokyo in the future in a deserted area that used to be the busy district of Shinjuku. However Donyatsu isn’t alone! I shouldn’t think to much of this series since there isn’t much of a plot in it. This short show is funny in it’s own way en how someone actually came up with the idea of doughnuts shaped cats.

Donyatsu meets Bagel not much after the first episode. Bagel is another bread-like cat also in the shape of a doughnut. Bagels are an piece of American bread with a hole in the middle. They think they are the only one in this whole area but are surprised with another visit. Ronya the cake-shaped cat is angry that Bagel didn’t returned to her and takes them both with her to their hideout.

The fact that this is in some sci-fi ,left alone future without any humans is one fact. Would you ever came up with a doughnut shaped cat? Me neither.

Donyatsu is a fun short serie if you want to watch something short, with not that much story and funnies.

This is a strange one, and its really hard to explain.

The cats. They are Donuts, and bagels, and other sweet treats. And they're abit goofy, and dont make a whole lot of sense.

But theres alot of off-the-wall, random gags. And really just out-of-nowhere scenarios and it just makes for a good little laugh.

Go watch it now. Basically the best anime you will see period.

Truly captures the struggle of being a pastry and an animal.

Masterpiece.
