The following is a review of the anime Baccano! in its entirety (The regular show plus the specials).
The story for Baccano! I felt was one of the best. I enjoyed all of the characters especially the villains who were so fucking crazy I fell in love with them. However from the perspective that most of the cast is doing illegal stuff I guess you could say they are all villains but I mean the villains from the perspective we saw. The characters relationships and interactions flowed very natural. As far as the character and story go I would say it was near perfect next to a few hiccups. The sound in this anime is kind of different from most anime I have watched. While I though the dub was really good I actually thought the OST stood out more than the dub. I highly enjoyed the music and even purchased the music online for my own personal use. Animation I felt like was the only area that the show struggled with. I am not sure if it was lack of budget or bad money allocation but some of this animation had very poor quality. Undetailed backgrounds and when the camera would pan out you would not see much detail in the face. You could argue that this was not that big of a deal but I think they used these type of tricks in animation way to much. Although the animation was lackluster the anime was really well done. It contained action, suspense, drama, comedy, and a little romance to blend together one of the best stories I have seen in a little while. I recommend this with the dub as it was well done.

Just like any great Tarantino movie (which Baccano is the anime equivalent), the ending perfectly wraps everything up in a very nice way. I went into this expecting to just see some extra filler episodes and oh how I was wrong and happy to be it. These last three episodes should not be counted as on OVA as it does no credit to the fact that they really are the ending to this series. Do not make my mistake and put this off any longer; because if you liked Baccano this just ties together all of the loose ends and even adds some new characters and fleshes out some we didn't get enough time to know. But one of my favorite parts of this mini-series is that it gives us more insight on Ladd's gang and the other Psychopaths that are in it. Great series; Great ending. 9/10

It's just more Baccano!
although this would probably be the weakest part of the series if it was part of it
