The shows visuals are interesting and consistent with minimum CGI and I can't recommend the dub enough. It does a great job.

This show's setting is a constant juxtaposition of sci-fi and elements of traditional Japanese culture from the Okinawa area. Not only are there space ships flying around the beaches but also small things like the bumpers featuring local cuisine or wildlife and the title screens for the episodes imitating Japanese painting. Hibiscus flowers also are a prominent motif to help constantly remind you that these aliens and their crazy technology are inhabiting currently a picturesque part of our planet. It gives the show a unique and specific trade mark. 

A lot of the humor is silly and self-aware from back-to-back cat puns to anime cliches taken to the maximum (like maid armies or government meetings carried out in middle school swimsuits). Not to mention there are background references to other catgirl-centeric anime. Though a large part of the humor is also derived from the fanservice this show has to offer. As distasteful as most ecchi tend to be, Cat Planet Cuties actually does a decent job of making butt shots and nudity not feel too out of place in its story. The fanservice is consistent so it's not jarring or random feeling but it's also used to either emphasize a characters actual sexuality or to crack a joke. When used for humor it does a good job since it doesn't fall into the sad anime cliches of having the characters' feeling of violation be the punchline. The show wants you to laugh at the ridiculousness nudity adds to a situation not just that the characters might feel embarrassed...most of the time. There's still plenty of questionable content like humor derived from the aliens girls not understanding what sexism is, but I will say overall it's a step up from most ecchi out there.

As for the characters themselves, the main cast struggles with feeling like real people since all of their emotional conflict is either due to liking the male protagonist or being the male protagonist who has no conflict because he has no personality beyond just being a decent human being and liking movies. It's a classic problem any harem set up has and it's just that, a problem. It simplifies the characters wants and motivations and wastes time that could have been used on things like the multiple missing back stories or fleshing out minor characters or swapping out frequently used plot-devices with something that has logical backing. But this show prefers girls having heart-to-hearts about the guy they both like.

Overall, this show is very entertaining. It's action packed, funny, down right adorable at times and hey, if cat girls are your thing, then you'll probably find it pretty sexy too. Cat Planet Cuties left me wanting more of it's setting and story and craving answers to a lot of unanswered questions. The result is this show is just merely popcorn material rather than a gripping tale. Though it left me unsatisfied, I still enjoyed the ride.

How to enjoy this show:

1) Turn off your brain

2) Shut up and enjoy it

Seriously, it's an ecchi harem, are you really expecting that good of a story? 

Story

Don't expect a whole lot from here, but don't write it off. There's actually an interesting tale told between the tits and ass. For a mindless fanservice show, it actually asks some interesting questions. Oh, and those puns.  

Animation

The animation staff had some serious nerds working for them. There was some real attention to detail, more so than this show deserved. If you're a gun buff, car buff, or film buff you'll really appreciate it. The montages during the ED's were pretty interesting, too. Oh, and a lot of shameless promotion for A&W. Seriously, how often do you see fuckin' A&W in anime? 

Sound

Overall it wasn't bad, but didn't stand out for the most part either. The OP is catchy as fuck, though.

Character

Not developed enough, and for one of them, just too weird. Then again, it is ecchi...

Enjoyment

I honestly enjoyed Asobi ni Iku yo. I really didn't know what to expect going in, but I was surprised by what I saw. The show didn't take itself seriously, which was nice, because I found myself laughing at it a lot.  If there were a season 2, I'd watch it.

It was ok, standard ecchi, don't do what I did and expect an interesting science fiction anime, thou the animation is gorgeous so that's a plus.

Asobi Ni Iku Yo! is a little fun to watch because he is different of the others ecchi story this is a little nowhere but this is enjoyable to watch so lets begin...

About the Story
This is a simple anime but have something different of the others anime he have action xD at the same to be Ecchi the characters are cool this is not a big story but you gonna like it ! for Ecchi you have a lot of action without big powers (Guns,Fighthing,Car,Boat) but with the Cat technology you have better things like Mecha robot and other things like that if you know what i mean..

About the Sounds and Animation
i like the language in this anime they have a Language we don't see normally in anime this anime look like a little bit Mature Language and the animation is normal i dont have any problem with the animation.

About The Characters
cat girls are just too moe man =_=

Eris / this cute little kitty girl is just too cute and you can't hold this cuteness ! she is very funny because she is very uncunscious sometimes xD but sometimes she can be very serious o: Eris FTW !

Kio / i very like Kio too he is not stupid he have a great thinking about what happen and he dont have scare about things he just go and fight ! like a man !

Kana / this girl look soo innocent at beginning but she is a real killer and fighter she is a little bit loveable but Eris steal the show xD...

Manami / this girl secretely love Kio and say nothing about it and just suffer inside but she is a real killer and fighter too ! be careful !

Yuuichi / this guy is soo cool !!! and don't have problem too help Kio and he is a real bad ass too ! he know how to fight and use weapon he is really nice !

Kuune,Chaika,Melwin and Durel / the squad of the ship they are all funny Kuune is the Chief but she is a little bit stupid this is make this girl very funny xD ... and more things about the others you need to watch to know what im talking about !

Antonia,Sarah and Maya / they are funny because they very like cat and can be crazy about this and destroy everything just for defend a cat they are really nice but sometime Antonia can pissed you off =_=' But Sarah and Maya are cool.

About My Enjoymenti have don't stop this anime because i have got a lot of funs and i say Hater Gonna Hate if you don't love the anime at the beginning please stop right now and watch a other anime. but if you have continued is because you have got a little bit of fun so don't come judge this beautiful "PLOT". And dont be rude with this anime,me i have laugh soo many time and im happy with this ^^

Honestly, with an English name like Cat Planet Cuties, you can guess what to expect. But this anime does have it's nice moments, a nice throwback to Captain Future later in the season (look up I'm a Lonely Space Man), some genuinely funny moments, and a few cool scenes. I think it's worth your time if you want an anime to just waste some time on, this could fill it for you.

Still, don't expect to be satisfied with romance or action. This anime is very obviously made just to help boost sales of the light novels.
