I was originally not interested in picking this anime up last season because the character designs screamed “not-so much sports moe blob” and table tennis isn’t my kind of sport, but after watching a clip Crunchyroll shared for one of the matches.. it made me curious about the show. I ended up loving everything about the show; from its characters, their relationships, the intense sports action & its animation, and oh gosh, the music (thanks MONACA). I left wanting more. I even wanted to pick up on learning table tennis! As its title says, it’s a fiery (scorching) sports anime. I cannot wait for the next season.

Went in thinking it would be crap, left wanting a second season. Good animation, cute and interesting characters, sports anime tropes and a great OST.
