Well what do you know, an anime that actually ended. I didn’t think they still made those. (Granted, they left juuuust enough wiggle room to bring it back for a third season if it happens to sell really well or something, but I’m hoping that’s an ending.)

I can’t say it was great, but I can’t say it was all bad either. Bubuki Buranki is a pretty meh series honestly, but watching something pretty average is nice every now and again. It had a couple… how to phrase it… interesting dynamics? I enjoyed the way Reoko’s role in the show evolved at least, even if the overall plot didn’t have all that much to offer.

Kaoruko was pain. Kaoruko was suffering. Nothing more needs to be said there.

The main 5 characters of the cast, the main character himself especially, were a textbook case study in mediocrity. Again, not much more to be said.

Really, the only characters that even register on the my interest radar would be Reoko and the guy with the hat and the suit who had the gun in the first season (who’s name I obviously can’t even remember, so he couldn’t have been all that interesting).

Well, after the first season you know what you’re getting into already. You’ll enjoy this if you enjoyed the first season, and if you didn’t enjoy the first there’s no reason to watch the second.
