Haruchika: Haruta & Chika
ハルチカ ~ハルタとチカは青春する~Chika Homura begins her high school career with a goal: to develop a "cute girl" persona. After quitting the volleyball team despite her all-star status, Chika decides to join her school's underrated Wind Instrument Club and play the flute, believing it to be the most delicate and feminine instrument. For the first time in nine years, Chika reunites with her childhood friend and total opposite, Haruta Kamijou. Unfortunately for Chika, Haruta is not fooled by her efforts to become more endearing. But this does not deter Chika, and she develops a crush on the band instructor, Shinjirou Kusakabe—but so does Haruta! However, Chika's high school life just won't go according to plan, as mysteries begin appearing around her and her friends. The club members must work together to solve the mysteries plaguing the school, all while trying to find more members to compete in musical competitions. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

this anime is really really calm but can be good if you have to watch it 1 time per week , i don't think that's the kind of anime that you will rush entirely but that's a anime that you got the routine with it but anyway... let's begin !
About The Story
the story begin with Chika who want to begin music and become a beautiful maiden with purity (well i have exaggerate) so she will join the Music Club "Brass Club" of the school but she don't know how to play with a instrument at all... so she will need training.. ! but after joining she meet her childhood friend but they will both be rival because they are interested in the teacher in the Music Club so.. their goal is to win the Gold Prize of the Regional and going more far after that ! but well.. i think the most poor point of the anime is the Story , they sure have a good multiple story who are good in drama but the main story seem to completely disappear i mean the main goal is only here a little bit and the others secondary story are taking more place than the actual main story but at least they didn't throw away the main goal but the main goal will be rarely concerned in the story and don't get me wrong the anime is more focus on Drama than Music because that's supposed to be based on Drama and not Music so that's normal but i want to talk about the goal they have fixed who was rarely here but stay present but just a little bit , the little Romance didn't left but have been less important around the end... that's can be confusing.. but i think the best way to describe the story is Drama-Mystery because the Mystery are about some people who got a past or something they can't solve and there is the beginning of a episode , at the trailer i have expected something really based on Mystery with Horror things related to music..or a curse i don't know because i have seen there was blood on a board and the notes was written with blood... but yeah... that's was not really what i have thinking.. the trailer is misleading the actual content a little bit with the blood board..
About The Animation and Sounds
the animation was really good to watch everything is clean and that's was the most good point on the anime plus i have liked the manner they have draw the eyes of the characters they seem more detailed , for the Opening and Ending they represent correctly the anime and fit good together but i highly prefer the Ending than the Opening , but for some reason the Ending can make feel bad i don't know why i still investigate on it LOOOl that's probably because that's the End of a episode i don't know.. but you can feel bad with this Ending , plus the Ending song is good so.. i highly prefer the Ending , the Opening was showing the characters with their instruments well that's normal.. and have show related things to the anime without putting random stuff ! but i leave you the link for it !
Opening
Ending
About The Characters
there some characters who have been important during 1 episode but become less important and receive less attention during the anime "i think you get what i say" plus there was a lot of characters but some will be low in description because they didn't talk about it too much.. "at the same time you will probably have a little lessons about the name of the instruments.. but well"
Chika Homura / the girl who want to be more girly and want to be a beautiful maiden by playing music because she was more.. well i think i will say it like that she was more into sport and she is very good athlete but now she want to be more girly so.. she gonna join the Brass Band Club "Music Club" and try to play Flute , she is energetic but can be sometimes stupid like she take time to get something
Haruta Kamijō / childhood friend of Chika , he is good at solving mysteries the most of the time.. let's say he is a little bit more intelligent than Chika i mean i don't think that's a genius but anyway , he live alone into a apartment but seem to don't go here a lot.. , he is a little scary of his elder sister because she is strict and well.. you understand i think oh.. and he play the "French Horn" well if you don't know what is search the name you will say OH this thing.. but anyway LOOl
Shinjirō Kusakabe / teacher of the club who are Conductor but have been famous before being teacher in the Brass Band Club and that's because he have retired himself and become teacher , that's a mature guy who don't talk that much and yeah he is adult so this is kinda normal and he is a very good guy and teacher and really good as Conductor "by Conductor you know what is it ? if not.. , you know the strange guy in front of a Band doing strange movement with his stick for guide the Band ?"
Keisuke Katagiri / president of the Brass Band Club , he is mature and do what a president of a club do normally into a club they don't have talk too much about it in the anime but well he use a Trumpet and are pretty normal
Miyoko Narushima / silent girl who have lost her younger brothers.. by lost i mean he is dead "that's not a spoil don't worry" she was playing Oboe before her younger died but have stopped and got depressed about it "if you don't know what a Oboe is..this is the thing who look like a Black Flute with steampunk technology on it ! well you get it i think.." but yeah she is talented too with her instrument
Maren Sei / someone mature again yes , this guy is Chinese but Chinese-America who mean he is born in China but his parents are in America and he play the Alto Saxophone " if you don't know what is a Alto Saxophone.. you know the thing we see a lot into a Jazz band ? the guy who look like to smoke with his instrument.. wait that's not the most good thing to describe it.. but well you can see this instrument the most of time in Jazz band" so now back to topic this guy is talented with a Alto Saxophone
Naoko Serizawa / serious girl who are playing Clarinet " you know what is a Clarinet right ? " she dream about playing professionally and are very serious about it so she not gonna joke with that and she is very talented too
Kaiyū Hiyama / he is childhood friend with Naoko pretty normal guy who play percussion , the most of time he imagine himself to play with a drum or something.. i mean he is moving his hands like he is playing.. i never have understand why but.. he probably really like that i don't really know
About The Enjoyment
the anime was interesting a little bit and have been just good but that's sure that's cannot be a anime that you will watch entirely in 1 day because this is really too much calm and relax so.. if you are sleepy if you will probably fall asleep on it , this is not that boring.. but you can be bored if that's not your genre of anime so i will just say this is only good , and was a good routine to watch this anime each week
for recommendation i will just say just check if that's your kind of anime but there nothing really big to expect and the trailer have misleading me because of the blood board.. i was like oh that's gonna a cursed music thing or something but that's was far to be like that.. this is really a bunch of Drama with no curse and evil things.. this is only Drama and Mysteries ! just give it a try to see what you think about it !

First and foremost, I think it is important to provide a disclaimer for anyone who intends to watch Haruchika based on prior interest. Don’t go into it expecting a high school band experience like Hibike! Euphonium, or the charm and intrigue of the amateur detective genre that Hyouka has to offer. When I started Haruchika, I was hoping for something to tide me over until Hibike! Season 2, or at least an experience that would make me nostalgic for one of my all time favorites, Hyouka. Perhaps it was naive to hold it to these standards, but I felt Haruchika missed the mark and then some, which left me disappointed despite my best efforts to see it through week after week.
In terms of story, Haruchika focuses on Haruta Kamijou and Chika Homura who are childhood acquaintances, reunited through a common interest in their struggling high school wind instruments club. When the members of the club, or students at the school come across a mystery in need of solving. Haru ( the pseudo amateur Sherlock Holmes of the series) is there to solve it; Often resulting in the recruitment of a new band member in the process.
Be warned that Haruchika Is not (for the most part) a show about high school band, or the high school band experience. The band/club setting is mostly there as means of continuity that binds the episodic mysteries and little else. It’s focus is not on the music, and lacks the “payoff” performances that one would find in K-on or Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso for example. Because of this, the viewer is denied any sense of the band's growth (other than the literal growth of new members), or a sense of the musical motivations and aspirations of the characters.
With the wind instrument club as a mere backbone to the show, the series depends heavily on its episodic mysteries to make-or-break the experience. The mysteries overall are incredibly hit-or-miss depending on the episode, which would be great if they were consistently a hit. Unfortunately, by the end of the series, I felt that there were two, maybe three, quality mysteries that really resonated, while a majority came across as unintelligent and insignificant. Now to clarify, an insignificant mystery doesn’t necessarily make it unenjoyable, and can in fact be brilliant when done right. Hyouka is the best example of how mundane mysteries can be spiced up with charm and intrigue to make for a wonderful experience. On the other hand, the mundane Haruchika mysteries often lack an element that grasp the viewers attention and fascination, and their resolutions often comes across as more convenient than they are intelligent. This can make for a quick lost of interest. Though to give credit where it is due, the few mysteries that were done well where really enjoyable and satisfying. It is unfortunate that these episodes were in the minority.
I could continue to delve into the quality of the music, animation etc. but I wanted to keep it short and to the point by highlighting aspects I deemed most imformative. Perhaps it was naive of me to expect Haruchika to share some of the qualities of Hibike! Euphonium or Hyouka, but that may be because we have been spoiled by their quality. Though Haruchika is no blockbuster in the mystery/amateur detective genre, and its inconsistency is a major flaw, it's not a complete failure, namely for its few satisfying, but far-between quality experiences.
