In March 2012, she first used the "Miss Monochrome" character as a 3D virtual singer to sing her songs at her concert "Horie Yui wo Meguru Bouken III ~Secret Mission Tour~." Later, the character appeared in a range of merchandise as well as in the social network game "Girlfriend (Beta)." According to the setting, Miss Monochrome loves only the monochrome style, dislikes all kinds of color, and always dreams about changing the world into her favorite monochrome color. Back when I hated color, this anime sounded very interesting. I was hoping it would be a normal anime with 22 minutes each. But it turns out it wasn't. It was a three minute anime. Making this one my first three minute anime ever. I won't lie. It's the only anime that kept my interest at all last fall.
So, the story is about an android named Miss Monochrome who desperately wants to become an idol. These thirteen short episodes follow her desperate attempts to become famous.
Honestly, with a plot like that, this is PERFECT for a three minute anime. You can put in a three minute plot of Monochrome trying hard to get hard to become an idol and it'll still be funny. I loved that about this. I laughed liked hell! It was really funny despite its length, you gotta enjoy the series for that. The writing is nice for its kind. So you learn one lesson from a show like this: quality > quantity. High quality comedy here.
I'd say the animation is quite stellar in this one, for a three minute anime. But I don't like commenting on animation.
There wasn't much sound going in this anime. xD
I'll be honest here. I loved all the characters in this show. Well, there....weren't that many, so. But I loved Monochrome herself and her manager and that rival idol. All of that was great! But since it's a three minute anime, you don't get to know them as well as you'd like.
I really enjoyed this anime, and I'd recommend it to anyone who has 40 minutes of their life to spare. It's a very good, if not, the best 3 minute anime I've ever seen.
