Assassination Classroom is less about attempting to kill a monster than it is about having that monster serve as a catalyst to teach the value of growing up with and apart from others in order to form a stronger sense of self and deeper human bonds.

Amazing series, one of my most favourites. I never thought I’d cry over a perverted yellow octopus, but I did. This series is the definition of perfection; I have no complaints about it whatsoever

i wonder what is the proper reaction for such a great anime !
it’s clear that the anime has taken my heart and my mind to a new whole level of entertainment .
one of the greatest works of lerche studio.

THE ANIMATION

it isn’t easy to draw more than 25 characters every Ep in different locations and sometimes with different costumes which has helped a lot to put the boredom away.
though the style of animation was unique , the black outline of the characters and the difference between the gradation of colores of the characters and the background makes the characters seem to be like posters on the background.

THE STORY

ostensibly , you will think that is a regular story of a monster seeks to blow up the earth but internally , you will find a powerful story full of surprises .
the story has two courses the first and the main one is to assassinate the teacher. the second is to raise the educational level of the low-grades students.
the most remarkable thing of the story is the insistence of the teacher to make the students better and the students to kill the teacher.
the story don’t ask you to choose a side because you will choose the both which means that you will hope the teacher to raise their level and in the same time you will hope the students to kill the teacher .

The ending of Anohana didn't even make me cry but this...this anime....stupidly when i started S1 i watched it dubbed which meant i had to wait for all of S2 to be dubbed took some time before i could gear myself up to watch it (i'd been waiting since episode 12) and now i just can't stop crying

this anime is just so good and I think its geared toward EVERYONE not just a specific few

Assassination classroom, in particularly season 2 has, well, assassinated me. I came in to this show (first season) coming for the sheer fact that I heard it was pretty funny, and had a unique concept. Season 2 has mad me realize so much that the reason I stayed was not the case.
Ansatsu Kyoushitsu (TV) 2nd Season continues from the "and the world keeps going" ending of the first season. Honestly the first season felt more like a test season overall, while introducing everything we would need to really know to appreciate the second season. It felt almost as if the Assassination Classroom Team really put their hearts into something, but were afraid the anime community might not accept it, which is the entire feeling I get when thinking of the first season. Now that they have a second season of 25 episodes, boy does the heart of the production shine. The story is reaching a climax now, and the second season makes it clear that this will be the final season in its orientation and presentation. It isn't over yet, but while the story takes some odd turns here and there, and really makes you think for a moment. Its gotten to the point where you can describe an episode and it is nothing like the previous episode, while overall you could describe ASSCLASS has an episodic show, I would have you shot, because it is so much more than that in the way it intertwines everything it shows you.

Animation is nothing special, it is really good, but nothing that stands out. It isn't a flashy show so to say. I think its animation direction is fantastic however, and really something to pay attention to. It really knows how to play a scene, whether it be for comedic purposes, seriousness/suspense, or otherwise.  Everything fits and flows very well, which is very awesome to see.

Sound follows a similar manner as animation, while again nothing special, nothing over the top, is still really good. And again follows great direction in its timings and use throughout the show. Whether it be for comedic or dramatic purposes, the music and sound effects used throughout the show are spot on. And that FINAL SEASON INTRO! Bye-Bye Yesterday stole my heart.

The character interactions in this show are by far the most vital portion of the show, at least as to what makes the show so great. Whether the interactions play to comedy, dramatic tension, or darker tones, the show always seems to figure out how to build and develop nearly every character. Everyone in the show plays a part in some form. Every named character has goals, ideals, and dreams. Previous characters blown off in the first season take the spotlight here in the second season, and while not literally everyone gets the spotlight, you do get to know just about everyone in the show, something about them that makes them tick. The title of this show IS assassination classroom, and I like how the show followed on showcasing the fact that this was about the entire classroom's interaction with korosensei, not just our main character's involvement in and with the classroom. And hell, everyone in this show gets to be funny as hell and also be a god damn certified Badass. Everyone is like-able, everyone is unique, maybe not in character design, but in heart.

If you couldn't tell, I love the hell out of this show. I was about ready to cry in the last leg of the show. I didn't want this show to be over. Oh god, why must it be over...

The comedy in this show is on-point, well Timed, and genuinely hilarious. The characters are nearly all developed and played vastly different, but important roles in the show. And its weakest aspects are simply for the fact that the show doesn't make a 100 in every category, but is definitely an A-B student.

This show is one big assassin. It is an underdog show that very few have payed attention to over its lifetime. It has remained in the shadows, hiding its skill, waiting to assassinate those who watch it with ease. Lulling those who "check it out" into a false sense genericness, then cutting out their heart strings entirely.

Season 2 > Season 1

This anime has slowly taken a competitive stance, looking for the perfect opportunity to eliminate my favorite anime and take it's place! Like a true assassin! This show is hilarious, but it constantly brings me back episode after episode with well timed suspense and expert story telling. Most shows greatly decrease in quality by the second season, but Ansatsu Kyoushitsu (Assassination Classroom) has kept me hooked the whole time. I have not read the manga, so this review is solely based on the anime alone.

STORY:

The first episode of the first season wraps it up nicely: they must kill their teacher before graduation to save the world. But what this season does that the last season built up to was backstory and pace changing. It takes a slightly expected route while adding a surprising spice in the mix, leaving the viewer satisfied and intrigued. Of course, some plot holes show up from time to time, but the show manages to fix the majority without an overabundance of bland monologue and exposition. It juggles two plot points while keeping them linked, making the unreal situation incredibly easy to relate. The premise is silly, and the show knows it well. Comedic satire + intense directing = YAY!

ANIMATION:

I do love the animation. Each character looks unique, and the scenery is a very nice sight to behold. It's no perfect water color master painting, but the backgrounds compliment the tone and emotion of the scene. Spare a few lighting issues (in one scene a light glares on a character's face, making it hard to see his face, and is a bit harsh on the eyes) the fluid movement and clear personality put into each person puts the mind at ease. This show handles fight scenes really well, along with clever layer blending for extra symbolism. Who knew killing could look so nice?

SOUND:

For the first season, the theme song choice threw me off for a long time. It was strangely peppy directly after very tense scenes and took me out of the zone completely. This season has two theme songs that, while catchy and enjoyable, tell a story of their own. Paired with the intro animation sequence, analyzers like myself can add to the main plot with subtle details. The ending themes are relaxing, tied with a creative chalk based animation. Though most see ending themes as pointless and skip worthy, the cute chalk on pavement look reminds the viewer of an important detail: these assassins are only kids! Background music throughout the episodes add tension or comedic relief, an experience explainable only by viewing!

CHARACTER:

Most shows that have so many characters fail at utilizing, identifying, and investing them all. AC, however, has over two dozen important characters and gives them all personalities and common back stories for teenage viewers to relate to. AC doesn't bombard you with lengthy back stories, forcing you to remember each and every one despite their relevance to the story. Instead, since all of the students have a similar history, the overall scenario is discussed early on. The slightly more important characters get short, detailed flashbacks that are just enough to get us informed and invested without getting boring. On top of creating characters that are easy to remember, each one feels familiar. There's the overweight girl (and proud of it), the flat chested with burning envy, the pervy guy WAY into boobs, the shy nerd, and a lot more. Despite how they sound, none of these people feel like stereotypes. They feel real, and all of them are likable. THAT is rare, even in real life...

ENJOYMENT:

Holy. Fudge crackers. I enjoyed this series WAY too much! It was funny, intense, gripping, fun, complex, layered, subtly satiric, and such a good time! I could rewatch the series over and over, and it's not even over yet! There was never a moment where I was bored or just wanted to stop watching. This viewing may have been the most fun I've ever had in 24 hours.

OVERALL:

I love this show to pieces. It has everything I love in one bunch: comedy, murder, suspense, endless OTP opportunity, relatable characters, hilarious tough guys with soft hearts, attractive homicidal masterminds, casual school days mixed with terror, exams to look like monsters...I love it all! Spare a few minute times and details I would have been fine without, this show was as perfect as perfect can get nowadays.
