DRIFTERSShimazu Toyohisa, whilst involved at the Battle of Sekigahara, manages to mortally wound Ii Naomasa, but is critically wounded in the process. As he walks from the field broken and bleeding, Toyohisa finds himself transported to a corridor of doors, where a bespectacled man at a desk waits for him. This man, Murasaki, sends Toyohisa into the nearest door where he wakes up in another world. There, Toyohisa meets other great warriors like him who have been transported as well, to be part of a group known as "Drifters." (Source: Wikipedia)

This has been a great ride so far, the mix of comedy and their lack of shying away from blood make it a fun one to watch. It’s entertaining with the historical figures being key characters in the story and using various points in history as key plot content. The character development seems a little slow for the mains, but introduces other characters rapidly.

This is the best anime i’ve watched this season. Maybe even best for some seasons so far.
Based on historical characters, gave them twist, to not spoil anything - just watch it, you won’t regret it.

This anime is a great battle royale featuring famous historical figures locked in a battle of world conquest in a Middle Earth like setting. I mean how often can you say “I’m watching this one show about Oda Nobunaga teaming up with Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid to take down Joane of Arc”? Besides that the show has great amount of comedy that truly entice history buffs along with wondrous violence that is in my personal opinion superior to the authors previous work Hellsing. However the reason I give this series a 4/5 is due the fact that the show failed to deliver some scenes as well as the manga, I cannot explain to an accurate detail as I’m no professional only a humble veteran. Also a few of the soundtracks did not enitrely appeal to me (especially the OST that played during the Jone of Arc fight). Other than that I highly recommend watching this series and if you are a fan of the Author behind Hellsing I recommend this series even more so.

If you love heroes from the history of our world, the introduction of each character will bring you nothing but thrill. The way the main characters steal the show is absolutely fabulous. A story about historical figures “drifting into another world” while being entrusted the future of this new world, its humans and demi-humans alike.
