Kamisama Kiss
神様はじめましたHigh schooler Nanami Momozono has quite a few problems of late, beginning with her absentee father being in such extreme debt that they lose everything. Downtrodden and homeless, she runs into a man being harassed by a dog. After helping him, she explains her situation, and to her surprise, he offers her his home in gratitude. But when she discovers that said home is a rundown shrine, she tries to leave; however, she is caught by two shrine spirits and a fox familiar named Tomoe. They mistake her for the man Nanami rescued—the land god of the shrine, Mikage. Realizing that Mikage must have sent her there as a replacement god, Tomoe leaves abruptly, refusing to serve a human. Rather than going back to being homeless, Nanami immerses herself in her divine duties. But if she must keep things running smoothly, she will need the help of a certain hot-headed fox. In her fumbling attempt to seek out Tomoe, she lands in trouble and ends up sealing a contract with him. Now the two must traverse the path of godhood together as god and familiar; but it will not be easy, for new threats arise in the form of a youkai who wants to devour the girl, a snake that wants to marry her, and Nanami's own unexpected feelings for her new familiar. I got to say kamisama Hajimemashita is one of my favorite shoujo's . If u read the manga like I do you will definitely notice some stuff are different from the manga but those changes aren't very extreme. I got say I love nanami , she is sometime can be quite hardheaded but she is definitely charming , hardworking and cares a lot about others. The rest of the characters are charming as well . I do recommend reading the manga as well as you end learning a lot details including tomoe's past and the true intention of mikage making nanami a goddess . I do warn through the updates of manga can be quite slow which is frustrating sometimes.

This is definitely one of those Animes that is a set up for the manga. It hooks you in with 13 episodes but then leaves you hanging, even with an OVA. However, with that said it is still an incredibly charming, heartwarming anime that i would extremely recommend for those who loved Fruits Baskets, Spice and Wolf, or even Inuyasha.

This anime is worth it. I ran into the forums & reviews about it before I even watched it, but didn't pay attention til' I was on a random anime website & saw it through the category.
Ever sense I watched the first episode, I couldn't stop looking until the very end of the season(episode 13). This series is awesome and pure joy, the romance is very sweet, innocent & slow, which gives it time to form through the season. In my experience, I'm really a rookie when it comes to "romance" genre anime. I'm really into supernatural, action, demons, fantasy, good action & thinking plot anime. But this series really changed my mind..
Later through the series, I really felt that it gives you an InuYasha type taste to anime & manga. As you all know, like I just said, I'm into action & good plots, so I dig InuYasha, lol. So if you're an InuYasha fan, dig into this anime & after that, don't just stop & let your imagination linger. Go ahead and read the manga of this anime!
I thought it was one of those "girly girl, sensitive, crying all the time, getting jealous" anime's. When really Naname has the soul of a fighter! I basically thought these be one of those anime's that really didn't have a decent plot, everything would be about flowers and sunshine, when really the story seriously interested me when it showed a glimpse of Tomoe's past and what'd he used to be. Turn's out that there's more to the story then to all of you think(if you read the manga).
But regardless the plot has a lot of twists and turns, don't just a book by its cover. It's not some girly, play, play, show. In some scenes it actually gets a little intense in action & grotesque with Tomoe's past!(in the manga).
Side Note: After you finished the anime, PLEASE go and read the manga, that's the real thing that makes you fall in love with the whole series.. The manga has a juicy back story to Tomoe and his certain conditions into coming into shrine for Mikage. (Spolier Alert) Lol, okay, let me stop now.

It's a lighthearted watch. Nothing to be taken too seriously. I enjoyed watching this anime.
