If you look past all the angry, naked, yelling lesbians. It’s actually pretty well made.

Definitely did a better job with this ridiculous concept than Seikon no Qwaser.

An enjoyable ecchi. Though the story isnt really something I haven’t already seen, something about this kept me watching (fan service maybe). 3 of the 3 1/2 stars I give this anime is for the “plot”, the other 1/2, maybe for the story. A good ecchi to watch to spend some spare time.

first let's say it this is a Yuri Ecchi near of the Hentai line , i was pretty interested in the concept at the beginning and the cover have pick my curiosity and i'm not disappointed by it because that's a Ecchi with Action and with a simple goal but hey let's begin !

*note* i would like to said this is actually a game and you need to know a little bit the game for know some little things like characters on others islands but don't worry this is not a big deal , but i just want to let you know.. and there actually like 3 island that i have hear the name and they are Mermaid, Siren and Bhikkhuni. they will probably make all of them into anime series but if you want more information about the games just take the name i have say to you and do some research because i don't want to quit too much the topic of Valkyrie Drive : Mermaid !

About The Story
the story begin on a strange Island where a girl appear and don't really know where she is and we don't really know why she is here too but there a more solid reason behind this and they got some kind of power and they are all send on this Island for isolate them completely from the other part of the earth and i forgot to say that... yeah they have power but... there a shield who protect this Island and you cannot get outside.. ! and the power that they have is a kind of Virus who affect the girls.. oh ! and at the beginning we have a little show who have surprised me so be careful with that... and after that a another girl appear and do like a kiss to the girl who look pretty innocent and transform her into a sword , the story have a great goal who are interesting to see because did they gonna left this Island ? if yes.. how they gonna do this ?that's not look soo simple to do... the story will turn a lot about this thing because everyone want to return home without being stuck here forever.. i can say that's good to follow but if you are very strict that's can be a thing you gonna question you a lot but if not..  i'm pretty sure you will probably like it but for me i have liked that i don't say this is perfect but this is good and i have liked how the events have turn during the story... like this is not gonna be soo easy to escape and they will have a lot of obstacles... i will just say this is a simple story who everyone can like normally if you are a Fan of the Game or Fan of Ecchi Yuri and that's awesome to have a story with Ecchi Yuri plus Action this is like kinda rare to find so back to the topic the story will really turn about what they gonna do for trying to escape this Island but there some little past from a characters who we gonna learn during the anime too because we don't know why she is that powerful and know some things that the others don't... so yeah this is about the strange power and escaping the Island and how they gonna do that ! oh finally i can say it that the girls get transformed into weapon by pleasure ! yes pleasure so this is really Ecchi each time they use their weapons for fighting but don't judge too fast because the Action is really good and they don't think only about the Ecchi we can say that's not taking all the place and sometimes the Ecchi appear during the fight without interrupting it.. i don't know if you catch what i try to said , i mean the story will continue like this is supposed to be.. with the Ecchi at the same time so the story is not interrupted by it and we can continue like this is totally normal !  i don't say this is the best of the story but what the anime contain is really good and the little bad points are really minor , i want to mention too that normally that's contain more than 1 Island like i said into my note so i really think about some others continue in the future !

About The Animation and Sounds
well really good on 1080p and  very clean graphics and i highly recommend to watch the Uncensored Version for better experience ! the fighting animation is pretty good too and some good Ecchi animation are present too , for the Opening and Ending they are both awesome but the Opening contain more Action and some good animation int it with awesome song to hear who make you in the beat to watch the anime , for the Ending that's more cute than anything i mean the chibi cat in it have hit me with cuteness and the song fit with it... and i like when that's saying just CHU ! :3 but yeah i leave you the link for it.. !

About The Characters
a lot of characters are in this anime and there only female characters so there no boy at all and there some bad ass girl present here but yeah i will talk about the important one and some others little minor role if i have something to say about them or maybe i will try to mention all of them !
Mirei Shikishima / the bad ass girl who are pretty powerful and look like to know something about what is going on in this place and she is the one who gonna kiss Mamori at the beginning of the anime for transforming her into a sword , she is very calm and serious and don't talk for nothing and she protect Mamori from the thing who scare her or from danger but Mirei is a Liberator so that's mean she can awake the power of Mamori by pleasuring her ( i know that's sound weird but there gonna be more information in the serie ) so yeah she is really strong too but we don't really know about her at the beginning and she hide some things from the past.. plus she is new on the Island at the same time as Mamori but like 2-3 minutes later , Mirei look more old but she is actually more young than Mamori , she can be a kind girl too and just by seeing her protect Mamori that's can prove it

Mamori Tokonome / the innocent girl who are very but very gentle and got shy very easy , she is very polite too we can say this is the kind of girl who are very pure that make you don't want to hurt her , she was a normal schoolgirls and got dragged into a story that she don't really deserve... i mean poor girl... and she is new on the Island at the beginning and got send here before Mirei but wait at the beginning they don't know each other but they will be in pretty good terms , Mamori got scared to little thing too let's say she is fragile too but she is more old than Mirei , Mamori can transform herself into a sword when she got pleasured by Mirei so when she need help she will cooperate but stay very shy about it.. but i still think this is too much to handle for a pure kindhearted like her.. and she is soo cute.... DON'T TOUCH HER ! or Mirei will probably fk you up

Akira Hiiragi / he is the only man on the Island and govern the Island but.. pretty cool character i mean he is not bad at all , he fight with a kind of robot so.. no he will not pleasure a another girl for transform her into a weapon... he will only use his robot that he can control for fight but he is the kind of person who don't like violence... we can say he is a pretty good person and care a lot about the others. ( but you cannot say that you don't notice the thing i'm thinking at this moment..)

Kasumi Shigure / she is the Commander so that's make her a leader of the place but she work under Akira , she is really serious and make rule the discipline on the Island plus she is really good at fighting by herself without weapon so you probably have notice that she will be probably really strict too 

Charlotte Scherzen / that's gonna be rude but i don't find any more polite word for describe her... she is the slut or bitch of the Island who are show offing the most of the time and need to be treat with care because she is "important" she have a lot of fan too because she is "perfect" and she is the kind of girl who want to rule everything and i think she is.. pretty perv or just a lot dominant , she work in the discipline too but going too far sometimes and really search the trouble... if you know what i mean

Rayne Hasumi / she is with Lady J and are together at any moments , they are not with the others they only do whatever they want to do on the Island and can switch with any girls for transform herself , she can transform in a big gun who are pretty strong , she is the kind of girl to don't give a fk and like dragged herself in trouble just because she want to do something and... she have a pretty cool outfit and are a pretty cool characters too with Lady J

Lady J / she is with Rayne everytimes , like i said before.. they do whatever they want because they want it and are not with the others and live alone together , Lady J don't talk too much and can switch with any girls too and have the most big breast of the anime.. but she can transform into a motorcycle and look like to appreciated pleasuring Rayne well... they look both to like this... anyway.. they are both awesome , she have a pretty nice look too

Meifon Sakura / she is the energetic girl who like scamming people and gambling for be short she like money and care a lot about money but are really helpful , i don't want to spoil what kind of power she have so i will not say it , she is small and clumsy and a funny girl who like helping , she have a lot of escape passage because she got in trouble the most of the time and are good to gather information.. sometimes she steal some little thing to bring it back to the others who are outside the place who are the others normally

Torino Kazami / she is the girl who take care of the girls outside the place where the others stay.. they are like with no rules and don't bother anyone , she have a big house and prepare the foods the most of the time she is the more mature girl too but are helpful too and she got some stealing stuff from Meifon , let's say this is like a mother for them

Momoka Sagara / a girl who work for the Organization with D5 and E9 , she have a bitch attitude and are.. evil or bad i let you choose.. , she look nice but just have a bad attitude but she have something related with Mirei bu i cannot say it , but i think she can be a good and cute person... she just have a reason for acting like a bad person , D5 and E9 just appear near of the end so i cannot soo much put details about them..

there really some more characters but i have talked about the important one !

About The Enjoyment
well this anime is awesome... that's rare to get Yuri-Action and there a lot of fighting and Ecchi who don't take all the place or interrupting the anime , this anime can tease sometimes so be careful with that.. there some moments who can shock some persons because of the little rape who are not rape but they do some kinds of weird thing so i want you to tell you this before watching it.. they are not big deal but can shock some people i think.. but yeah there a lot of good things if you forgot about this kind of parts , if you are a big Fan of Ecchi you will enjoy it for sure !

i will recommend it for sure if you are a Ecchi Fan or Yuri Fan because that's only contain girls and are really Ecchi near of the Hentai line sometimes so just be careful.. but the fighting are interesting too , this is not only Ecchi ! that's have a lot of Action !

WATCH IT NOW IF YOU WANT ECCHI.. DON'T WAIT ANYMORE !
