Double-J

だぶるじぇい

In a school where after school activities are mandatory among all students, Hajime and her friend Sayo come across a new club that they have never seen before. The club is called "The Cultural Activity Preservation Club." The two enter the room to find all kinds of analog jobs and activities, such as handcrafting mats and toothpicks. This is a unique cultural anime mixed with comedy so as not to bore you, this is Double J! (Source: Mangahelpers, edited)

Story: Usami Hajime and her friend Sayo see a strange club that they've never seen before: The Cultural Activity Preservation Club, a club with unusual things such as... toothpicks... and matchsticks... its the comedy that 'never bores you', it's Double J!

Pros: The ED is amazing, really short and catchy as well as the cool looking images. This show is surprisingly hilarious with there weird interactions around simple things like manga, birds, and even toothpicks. It does start off boring as it says but... it got better as it went on. The voice acting is also really good :P

Cons: The animation is very stiff and choppy, very few movements is shown and the artwork is pretty bland as well as the character designs, especially the male president, it just doesn't look right. The background drops are paint, water drops are still, and they may look real but it doesn't move much and it's pretty much lifeless.

Also there's no second season which kind of sad since I really enjoyed this.

Overall: It may have been substance over style, but its still funnier and better than Copihan and I feel its underappreciated, and I recommend it really :)

Thanks for reading my 19th review~
