Amnesia

AMNESIA

After fainting at work, a young lady awakens in the back room of the café she works at with no memory of her life or those around her. Two of her friends, whom she soon learns are named Shin and Toma, are called to help her get home safely. Once she is alone, she meets a spectral boy named Orion that only she can see and hear. He explains that she lost her memories because of his chance visit to her world, so he vows to help her remember who she is. However, regaining her departed memories without worrying those around her may be more difficult than she realizes. In addition to the gloomy Shin and the protective Toma, she must be wary of arousing the suspicions of the captivating Ikki, the quick-witted Kent, and a mysterious man who lurks in the distance. As her amnesia entangles her in the lives of each of these men, her fragmented memories return piece by piece, and the mysteries of her circumstances slowly come to light. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

That's me watching the episodes. Anyways, this anime made me think "HOLY S@!#$ WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN?!" This show also has VERY HOT teenagers like WTH HOW CAN FICTIONAL CHARACTERS BE LIKE THIS SERIOUSLY! The plot made me confused a lot is the downside but other than that it's fine

This was one of the first anime I watched so it was certainly memorable. The animation and characters were really good but the sound was pretty quiet

From a production standpoint, this show was exceptional. The character designs looked good, the animation was fluid, and even though the sound wasn't amazing, it did its job and didn't detract from the story, however the story and characters are exactly where the show fell flat. This is just my personal opinion, but I found the 'heroine,' who they didn't even bother to give a name, irritating to no end. She was weak, frail, sub servant, and basically personified all of the stereotypical shortcomings of a woman. As for the other characters, while their premises were interesting, they mainly stuck to stereotypes and weren't fleshed out well. All in all, I did not enjoy this anime, but there are worse things you could watch. I'm not recommending it, but I won't fault you for liking it either.

I went into Amnesia not expecting all that much. So, when I realised that I was disappointed, I knew this anime was a rather poor one.

The key issue for me is the plot. See, this a series that may as well be a reverse harem, except, it's not a reverse harem, as the girl, whose name we STILL don't know, after the damn thing has finished, ends up going through timelines, or "worlds", and in each one, she is dating another one of 5 different guys. And, in that sense, it's a repetitive watch. See, I never really liked any of the characters, the males were fangirl pandering, and the girl whose name we don't know who also happens to be the main character seems somewhat like a self insert character.. perhaps that's why we don't know her name. Like, the female audience can just project themselves onto her and imagine it's them who their favourite male is speaking to when they say "I love you". And it really just feels like an excuse to go through all these males, to please all the fans. For me, there was nothing worth watching, it's was repetitive, boring, and somewhat of an illogical mess. And when, at the end
The reason the girl is somehow able to see things and travel through timelies because of the power of a fairy named Neil..urgh
we get the explanation behind the whole timeline jumping thing, it feels... well, like bullshit. There really wasn't any sort of plot, just, as I said, an excuse to jump from guy to guy and remain tasteful.

The characters are rather cliche as well. Nothing new, all the stereotypes in the book. Not even going to go into detail here.

The one thing I have to say that is good about the series is that the animation and the Opening and Closing themes. They'e all very well done, and I was literally watching it for the OP and the ED at the end.

Overall, unless you are attracted to the male characters, there is nothing to see here. Avoid.

Honestly watching the anime made me wanna play the game only problem is I don't own the console nor know the Japanese language to well

I'll give it credit like one person already said in a review on here it's somewhat hard to make an anime out of the game since there are a lot of routes for different guys so they did a decent job trying to fulfill it somewhat.

I love the quotes that are in the anime and the boys are stunning in a way ^~^

I'll give it an overall 7 since I was a little disappointed at the ending like I understand it's your choice to choose I guess since it is in the game but they should have choose one that fit it best or hinted it more in the end that would have made me rate it then a 9 but overall they did there best and that's what matters in the end right?

It's not easy to make an anime from an otome game, especially since there are so many routes. However I do believe they could have done a bit better. For example, the heroine has no personality. They should at least give her some will power. But despite that, the other characters a pretty interesting. The story is intriguing. It isn't until the last 3 episodes when things start to get intense.

Lost memories, a fairy, parallel worlds, and a cellphone.

The story of Amnesia could've been executed better. The story actually had some promised. The mysteries were interesting and are what kept me watching the show.

The animation is beautiful throughout the entire duration of the anime. As well as the opening and ending animation.

Sound is okay I really enjoyed the opening and ending themes. They also reveal some scenes from episodes if your pay close attention to them. The music and sounds throughout the anime are nothing special.

The characters aren't developed at all. This is because of the way the story is organized. It leaves no room for characters to develop.

I didn't enjoy it much which is a shame because it had a good story premise but was just poorly executed and I ended up forcing myself to finish it. I realize this is based on an otome game of the same name but in terms of the anime it just didn't impress me or leave me with anything when I finished.

Short review is gonna be short.

STORY - 4/10

Plot - 4/5

A girl suddenly wakes up in a different world with no memories and just a cellphone, her surroundings and Orion, a fairylike creature, to support her. Not only that but she keeps encountering mysterious boyfriends. The only way she can cover her memories is to make new ones and finding out the hidden twigs in them. Sounds cool, doesn't it? Oh the mysteries it can so put up a cool drama. A tragic romantic story! Oh but guess what....

Development - 0/5

What was brought other than Heroine being more useless than cowpoop (HEY at least cowpoop provides fresh gardens! the Heroine CANT DO A THING) and just falling into new dimensions with new stereotypical boyfriends and her being O_O all the time. The ending was rushed and didnt bring out much at all with an open and unnecessary ending. it SUDDENLY FORGOT WHAT IT WAS DOING!

Animation - 8/10

This is the only aspect to actually worth watching, since it has one of the best I've seen. Full of colours, wonderful animation, but of course doesnt get out of the usual angles.

SOUND - 5/10

Ost - 2/5

The OP is pretty nice, the ED was forgettable and the inner soundtrack is nothing else but those little twinkles in the melodramatic moments.

Voice acting - 3/5

Decent voice acting, but nothing too special and the characters are barely introduced anyway.

Character - 2/10

Designs - 2/5

The bishies themselves are lovely, but those clothes UGH! I know the anime is trying to add the standard playing card clothes, but it appears to be PLAYING with my mind. Ikki's one was decent though. Sometimes their legs get longer than a giraffe's as well.

Development - 0/5

Characters werent developed AT ALL. They are all stereotypes, however I did like 1 because he actually figured out the Heroine's case but he only got 1 episode compared to the rest. Shin is the worst male character yet he got 4 episodes of just saying "idiot" all day. Now fangirls, why do you say Shin is cute and real life boys are assholes when Shin IS an asshole? And the rest are hateable aside from Kent. Orion gets annoying too.

Enjoyment -2

The anime was good couldn't say great but good, it was a decent male harem kind of anime. The storyline always kept you guessing who was her real boyfriend, how did this happened to her, who was the stalker guy and how did Orion get in this situation with her. It was good to watch because it had this mysterious feel to it that kept pulling you in.  The ending disappointed me a little I felt as they could of showed more, they explained but not that much. I still felt there was a little more to it. Besides that the ending was kinda good it made cry a little. when you see it you'll know what I'm talking about. So in my opinion I give this anime an 7/10. Also I hope this review was useful thanks for reading. (^-^)/

So, I don't usually like stuff based on dating sims. This is one of the exceptions. Beautifully animated, Amnesia has the mystery to keep me going.

We follow the nameless protagonist girl, who is your Japanese everywoman in personality, as she's thrown through alternate dimensions, finding out that she's dating a different guy in each one. The important note here is that she is the Japanese everywoman. She is passive and polite and acts like a proper young Japanese woman should. This could come off to western viewers as somewhat of a doormat, but it's mainly a cultural difference...That and the plot wouldn't be all that great if she just blurted out "Hay Guys, I haz amnesia! Who am I! Hurrr..."

This isn't going to be your thing if you want action. It's not going to be your thing if you don't like mystery.

But if you like gorgeous guys (wearing seriously odd costumes...what is up with those costumes?) with striking tricolor eyes and a plot that moves swiftly along answering small questions here and there but dragging the main big か along kicking and screaming, or if you're shallow like me and just like to appreciate the hot guys, then Amnesia is for you.
