The opening screwed it all up for me, it sounds way too much like a cheap copy of Nichijou’s Kakakata Kataomoi
It’s still pretty good though, not the best slice of life ever, and I prefer when there’s some escalation to a romantic story. In Acchi Kocchi, Tsumiki and Io are established as having crushes on each other in the first episode, but that never changes.

Given to entertain us, Acchi Kocchi (あっちこっち / Place to Place) started as a 4-koma manga by Ishiki went boom then turned into an anime television series adapted by AIC. The series has 12 eps and finished airing in the end of Spring 2012, an OVA also added~well you should watch all of 'em! highly recommended.
Even said it's highly recommended and got quite high popularity on MAL, maybe some guys who don't into romance thingy won't pick this one. But, well, once again don't judge a book by its cover. The romance isn't anything like another romance. Some says it's romantic comedy, the romance is just an added flavour but the focus of the story still the comedy itself.
As wikipedia says of its plot, "The serious-minded Io and the pure-hearted Tsumiki feel they never want to be parted, but haven't become a couple yet. More than friends but less than lovers, they develop an awkward quasi-romance." The series does have an interesting couple between the main hero and heroine like they're so close and get the fire burning their chests or instantly reddening their faces. So warm-hearted when the circumstances and their classmates promote the jokes. The jokes are around their daily activities as the students, sometimes the place takes in other places such as shopping district and other friend's houses. The art is so cute~err how should I put it~the animation uses brighter colours, and colourful, please to be seen.
Described about the characters, plot and it's animation. So let's jump to the music. The OP and ED theme aren't the type of songs I will put on my playlist but it's not because the themes are bad but it's funnier to listen it when you watch the series. The scenes which appears along the OP and ED are fancy to the songs. So it's a bit off when just listen to it separately.
I gave 9+ rate personally, the enjoyment really boosts the series.
Pros:
- Nice art, mixed moe and funny scenes for the plot
- Jokes and varying character
Cons:
- Hmmm... Lemme think what needs to mention as cons

Starts off fantastically, with very easy to like characters and comedic writing. It soon becomes quite boring as they offer no variation in the episodes. Although I do recommend giving it a watch for the characters and the animation alone.

Initial Feelings:
After watching Acchi Kocchi it was strange how sad I felt when it ended. The story wasn't really there it was more of a chain of random comedy episodes with some problems that occur when a guy doesn't know his friend likes him thrown into the mix. You don't really notice anything spectacular about the soundtrack when watching at some points I didn't notice it at all. The animation wasn't all that special either.
Later:
Yet it was something about the characters how the girl Tsumiki acted so obviously in love with the guy Io in such a cute manner and how Io failed to notice but acted almost like he did know again in a cute charming manner. This and some of the good lines by secondary characters providing a good laugh made me come to love the anime. It seemed that this at first seemingly average anime became one that seemed to make time fly the episodes would seem to last only minutes leaving me with a feeling of wanting more leading me to watch the next episode.
Summary:
After the end I was sad it was over it was like losing a friend watching Io and Tsumiki leave but it seemed like a content parting... and then I watched the ova cause I wanted more. This average looking anime won me over leaving me feeling entertained the whole way overall it got a ten from me mostly for my love of the not quite memorable but adorable characters. I would recommend this to most people who like comedies with some romance into the mix, but if you like action this probably isn't for you also it does not provide hardcore romance but I would still recommend this to romance fans. anime: 10/10 characters: 12/10
