After reading the synopsis for Karen Senki I was sure it was going to be good. I was wrong.
I understand that developers are looking more into 3-D animation but it's not my thing. However, if the show is good I dont mind. But KS was bad.
The basis for the story was good and full of potential, but not executed well at all. There was no clear flow of time, no explanation of VERY IMPORTANT details, and frivolous things.
Many times Karen was destroying machines for the heck of it, No real explanation.
And the supposed resistance group? Bull SHIT! they were worthless and amounted to probably five people, maybe.
No development of characters and none were really likable.
The episodes had no real link between them and most left you with more questions than answers. And somehow magic works into all this.
Sigh. All I can say is that it was a waste for me watch it. Unless you have nothing better to do, dont watch it. All you will get is disappointment.

The thing about this anime is that the animation overshadows everything else, even though the action sequences are well choreographed and kind of exciting the 3D style just doesn't work for me because the overall movement of the characters looks so clumsy.
The story: post robot apocalypse. The characters: badass sexy chic throwing punches while driving fast vehicles and shooting guns. BUT the development is so generic that it's not as fun as it sounds.
The show seems kind of mediocre, but I'm not gonna drop it just yet... every episode lasts about 10 minutes so I will see what happens.

I'm sure the story would be more tolerable if the art style/medium wasn't so bad. Plot is a repackaging of Terminator (upon first impression) with less information.
