I slept most of the time watching this...very slow brrr its boring... the fellas responsible for this (huge stockpile of horse shit) reset the life story of the main character each time introducing a new girl like its a fucking video game. meh but i have to admit the animation was fluidic, and a lot scenes are great and pleasant but the story is harsh at the same time. The only thing i will remember after watching this was that i got a boner on a particular scene the scene was really hot.

Everything was great, I really enjoyed watching the first four episodes and when they confessed their love I couldn't be happier, but then WHAT THE FUCK HAPPEND. It ended.. after 4 episodes they said well we're done here fuck you all. I mean I'm happy about how things turned out but I wanted to see some more of Junichi's and Haruka's relationship, not some shitty 10 years later scenario. And then guess what, they start over again, with some other girl, what? whatttttt i can't bear it. THIS ANIME IS NOT 25 EPISODES LONG MORE LIKE 4 EP'S.

but the four first episodes i love so im recommending it anyways.

After two years, Junichi Tachibana still gets depressedaround the holiday season as it brings up painful memories of being stood up onChristmas Eve. The story follows Junichi as he moves on and is able to findlove once again (multiple times).

This anime consists of 25 episodes and it follows a rathersimple and formulaic “visual novel route” type format. The anime is split upinto 6 arcs each being 4 episodes each, with the final episode being a bonusepisode.  Each arc showcases a different loveinterest and her story as her and the lead protagonist grow closer. The routesall end on the 4th episode, and the story is reset the followingepisode. Each reset offers a little more insight as to what happened on that fatefulday two years ago. The short run time for each arc leaves much to be desired interms of story, however it is the characters that make this series shine.

What I found to be the main appeal to this show was the variety of personalitieswithin the lead heroines. Each hosts a different personality trope commonlyfound in visual novels. As each of their arcs progresses, so too does theircharacter’s development. All the girls are enjoyable, and there is a littlesomething there for everyone.  The main leadcharacter is your typical high school boy, and as such he has a bit pervertedside to him. Overall he’s a good guy, but here is nothing really special abouthim, as with each passing arc slight variations in his personality are made soas to complement each of the lead heroines.

The sound and animation set a warm and soothing tone for the series. Nocomplaints were had when it came to the character animation and set design. Themusic for the series was calm, and did well in key scenes. Though I was a bitsad to see the first OP replaced halfway thru.

Overall it was a very enjoyable series. Each of the stories had somethingdifferent to offer, and I found myself rooting for each one of the girls. Thelack of screen time for each arc didn’t leave room for much senseless drama orconflict that can be found in other romance shows which is a plus. It also manages to pull off a romance visual novel vibe. As much as Iloved this show, it’s not without its faults. (see below for spoilerishcomplaints)

Complaints:
-The last episode is something that could have been expanded upon in its own 2episode arc. Throwing it at the end just makes it feel out of place and rushed.
- Not all of the arcs get the same conclusive ending.  Out of the 6(7) arcs only two get a “True”ending, the others get a normal ending.
-One unlucky girl doesn’t get a conclusive ending. It is something you hopeseason two will resolve.

It's a great anime, one of my favorites. Underrated even. I can't complain much about it at all. It has just about everything I want in a rom-com anime.
Story-wise, there's not much to complain about if you knew what you were getting yourself into. Each girl gets 4 episodes to cover their arc. Once that's done, we reset and our main character goes another one of those "flags." It's like a harem anime, without the harem, if you get what I'm saying. He gets all the girls in the long run, but with each arc he focuses on only one girl, with character development and all the cute things in between that you want in a rom-com.

Regarding the animation, it was clean and well done, though a few things could have made it better. The colors didn't really stand out that well but nonetheless it's nothing to complain about unless yer a critic who likes nitpicking at everything. Or if you're biased against this kind of anime and just complaining for shits and giggles.

The sound? Probably one of the things that makes this anime all that much better. The soundtrack is amazing, and the cheesy sound effects when something funny happens just makes it all the better. *add monkey sounds here for pic* The OP's and the ED's are great as well. Each ED is sung by the girl of their arcs respectively.

Now onto the characters. First of all, I'll only talk about the main 6 heroines and the protagonist, as there are a lot of other supporting characters that still make the anime great. But I won't be able to cover them all. There's nothing not to like about the characters considering there's 6 heroines, and 6 arcs (Not including the secret heroine and the little sister.) So if you really disliked this one arc or girl, just skip it. It won't affect your story whatsoever. It's like it never happened. You have the sweet girl, the sexy/playful girl, the shy one, the tsuntsun(maybe tsundere), etc. The list goes on. I personally only truly liked 3 of the girls, as the others were either too cold or too warm. And then there was the lukewarm childhood friend (but there's always someone rooting for the childhood friend). Of course that's my personal opinion. On a general basis, there's something for everyone. Now, in each arc, you'll notice some subtle changes in the protagonist, all due to character development and the time he spent with each girl. He'll go from the dominant MC to pervert MC to puppy kind-of-MC all based on which girl/arc. So you can't hate him really, just like the girls. A protagonist that you can approve of.

Enjoyment? Loved it. I sound over the top, but this is the one that hit me. perfect balance of comedy, romance, sometimes drama, a pinch of sweetness and everything between. It's not watered down nor overly pumped with content, so you're not falling asleep waiting for something to happen or pausing it just to keep up. The pace is just perfect (although I can't say I'm fulfilled. I want more of it!).

Overall: 4.9/5
Fantastic.

EDIT*** GO WATCH THE SECOND SEASON!!!

There's not much to review, so I'll keep it brief.

It's in omnibus format like a lot of adapted VNs which may turn you off. It's not a harem and there's hardly any drama as well.

Story:

Quite basic and nothing out of the ordinary. The MC can seem a bit of an idiot, but he isn't that bad and you have to take into account the culture and setting of the 1990s where western styles and behaviour hadn't taken over.  He's quite hilarious at times and upfront with his emotions, but you are meant to self-insert quite hard.

The girls are the main point of attraction, and it's hard not to like them all. Each of them has a separate arc, which as long as you don't take too seriously will keep you engaged. Each arc is 4 episodes which feels a bit rushed, but you can read the manga or play the game if you want more depth. That's the main downside in my opinion. Some of the arcs feel a bit lackluster due to the 4 episode constraint but the story is coherent and entertaining.

Sound

Great OP and ED. ED varies depending on arc. Nothing feels out of place. Nothing that memorable though.

Character

All the characters are intriguing and you will like almost all of them. They aren't that fleshed out as they could've been especially due to the 4 episode limit and the character development is quite minimal. As this is an omnibus highschool romance, this doesn't really mean that much as it is satisfactory for it's purpose and means:

Enjoyment: Gets a 10. Extremely relaxing and funny throughout. Just don't take it too seriously (if you do, stop watching anime.)

Obviously this can't get a 10 if you are comparing it to anime with depth or meaning, but it gets a 10 if you are looking for something to calm you down or cheer you up.
