Though unwilling, Takatoshi finds himself appointed as the newest member of the student council having yet to even step foot inside the school building. Takatoshi soon realizes that the other student council members who are more than a little strange: President Shino, who is studious and serious in appearance, but actually a huge pervert, fascinated with the erotic and constantly making lewd jokes; the secretary Aria Shichijou, who may seem like a typical sheltered rich girl, but is just as risque as the president, if not more so; and finally, the treasurer Suzu Hagimura, who may act fairly normal, but has the body of an elementary school student and is extremely self-conscious of it. Surrounded by these colorful characters, the new vice president must now work through a nonstop assault of sexual humor and insanity. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Warning: Long-ish.
Seitokai Yakuindomo, in a nutshell, is a series that focuses on the daily life and the antics of a small group of students that act as the Student Council of Ousai Academy. In a school where the rules are strict and aplenty, the “main character” is Tsuda Takatoshi, a young man whose primary reason for being in this entire school is because it was close by and that the school just became co-ed.
This is, by far, one of the best comedy anime I’ve ever seen.
Now, to be fair, this is an anime that grabs a specific type of comedy by the nutsack and then milks it for all the babymaking milk it’s worth. If that’s not enough to indicate what type of humor this show loves so much, then I’ll tell you right off the bat: green-minded humor and sex jokes are in store for you, and there are more of these jokes then there are little girls in Black Bullet. With that out of the way, let me offer a brief opinion on several aspects of the show.
Art:
Whether or not you like it is down to personal taste, but this is definitely an anime that uses a slightly cutesy art style. It does use a lot of bright colors that pop out and feel vibrant and vivid, ensuring that the visual tone of the show is constantly popping and peppy. The world looks cheery and isn’t afraid to be loud that way. This works well with the comedic focus of the show, and they hardly ever clash.
Soundtrack and Music:
Surprisingly good for a show of this genre and style. There are songs I genuinely love to listen to outside of watching the anime with it, and I think that it manages to perfectly blend music with context and visuals. I’m biased to jazz and there are some jazzy songs in the show, so there’s that aspect to it. But to be fair, it’s a soundtrack with songs I think that no one will be disappointed by. It’s not totally outstanding and perhaps some people will not like that, but I think it does the job well for the show.
Characters:
Lovable. I won’t go into an in-depth analysis of each one, so I’ll mention some names and be done with it.
Shino Amakusa is the Student Council President that can do everything except not think about sex-related matters. Yes.
Aria Shichijou is the Student Council Secretary that fits into the archetype of “rich, airheaded girl that doesn’t know much about commoner life”. Her jokes, however, are just as head-in-the-gutter as the President’s. Arguably worse. Or better, depending on your perception.
Suzu Hagimura is the Student Council Accountant (or Treasurer, depending on who’s translating) who is the butt of height-related jokes for more or less the entire show. She’s a very short, blonde-haired, twin-tailed character that loves to raise her voice (thinking of Hayate no Gotoku, anyone?) and is very intelligent. Arguably the one with the most emotional complexity in the whole show, but that’s not a whole lot. She plays the straight man in jokes very well, too.
Takatoshi Tsuda, the only guy in this once-an-all-girls-school-and-now-a-co-ed-school that’s a part of the Student Council, is the Vice President and is arguably the one with the most sense among them all. He plays a great straight man in jokes, and you’ll see this in later episodes.
Plot:
None, really. Slice-of-life, so the focus really ends up being around the Student Council members, their daily life, and just living and joking around. What’s worth mentioning is that the writers knew the place of this show and its source material in that they never tried to shoe in unnecessary, out-of-place drama where it didn’t belong. The show stays on-point, focusing on where it should. Slice-of-life is something that can be done wrong, to be fair, but I think this one hits the nail on the head for what it’s worth.
Execution:
Damn. Like Demolition D once said, “If a show’s execution is done right, then most of the mundane can be forgiven.” And this show delivers its comedy well. Timing is almost always perfect and the way that visuals, music, and voice acting come together to deliver the jokes is surprisingly well thought out. The show does go out of the perverted joke mindset, though, but the execution of the other types jokes does not suffer at all. It all just falls neatly into place, coming together into an enjoyable twenty-something minutes that will make you sometimes wonder, “How did they manage to air this on TV?”. The best part of this show, in my opinion, is the censorship. If you get the choice, watch it with censorships. You’ll know what I mean.
Should you Watch It?
Without a doubt, if you’re looking for some comedy, then I do recommend this one. However, if you don’t like an onslaught of perverted jokes or if you can’t take them, look elsewhere. But for those of you who know how to take a green joke or two (or ten) on the chin and laugh with it, you’re going to enjoy this one.
Additional Notes:
When you finish it, pick a few scenes from this series and show them to someone who doesn’t watch anime all that much. I love doing this personally. The reactions are priceless.

sometimes I wonder what it would be like if my parents loved me

Sick perverted jokes left and right, which I loved :D
It lacks romance for my taste, recommendable tho.

Plot? Story? Who needs em' ! This anime has 0/zero/nil/no/desolate/unexisting story. But as the the first words suggest, this anime needs no fucking story and its still the most amazing anime to me and is on my favorites list. Reason for it are the random bullshit scattered along it. I think i do not need to explain further, this is a storyless and amazing also hilarious anime. To me, at least. P.S. To do those who says this is bad cuz lack of story should just go get the part of their brain that produces dopamine(happy drug) removed.

"Seitokai Yakuindomo" is about an all girls school recently made Co-Ed, 3 women on the student council, two with a very sexually active mind, and one who has an IQ of 180, can easily do 10 digit math problems in her head, and can speak fluent English as well as other languages.
And 1 guy gets in the middle of it all after transferring to the school because it's close.
After Shino Amakusa spots Tsuda with his tie loose "Because you don't want to be seen as a loose man. I look tight, so I am not seen as a loose woman!", after a comedic scene, she basically forces him to join the student council for a male view on things.
The rest are a bunch of jokes.
Now, is that a bad thing?
To me, no it is not.
Story:
What is story?
We all know that there can be romance, military war, political battles, epic space warfare, battle of the wits, adventure, shojou, ect.
But can story also be well written and well timed jokes as well?
In this context, I would assume so, yes.
The story of this anime is basically about the antics of these 4 people and all of the sexual humor you can throw a stick at.
If you do not like jokes about sex, women, men, naughty situations, D*ck$, V@g*n@$, @$$, C*m (seriously), and B**bs.
You may have a heart attack watching this show.
I must mention, the story progression is directed in the same way as LuckyStar, where the scenes progress as joke by joke by joke, the scenes change by scene. It does not progress like a normal series.
Here, it works very well, just like LuckyStar.
Art:
I actually liked the artwork in this production quite a lot.
The backgrounds are generic, but detailed.
The characters are drawn in an elongated fashion (Could be a new Seitokai Yakuindomo joke, if you catch my drift), but it fits the show very well.
The choice of changing from basic anime look to chibi look when telling a really over the top joke, was hard to get use to at first, but you definitely get used to it after a couple epsiodes.
Sound:
The music is relaxing and fits whatever scene when it is needed very well, for comedic effect of course.
The seiyuu are top notch in their talent here, especially in comedic timing and effect.
The sound effects add to special comedic moments when needed, especially the jokes about man and woman juices.
Character:
Again, there can be a lot of character and no character at all.
It all depends on your perspective.
In my opinion there is a lot of character in this series, albeit perverted and more towards male fantasy, there's still character.
"Shino Amakusa" is the counsel President, and her mind is always fixated on finding the perverted in everyday activities. Especially when it comes to Tsuda, even though she actually likes him in the strange scenes that you will see them together in.
"Aria Shichijou" is basically Shino's rich and classy protege of sexual conversation, yet her sexual jokes are "Quite heavy" even for Shino.
"Suzu Hagimura" is the most mature of the bunch, she has an IQ of 180, can 10 digit math- ect. ect.
But she has one problem that you may notice at the start of the show, she's about the size of a toddler.
She is very sensitive about her height, and becomes quite angry when joked about being a child.
"Takatoshi Tsuda" is the UNfortunate target of sexual conversation, sounds like a good thing right? Well, not when they think you're a pervert who masturbates every time he goes to the bathroom, and if is late to a meeting, is probably having an affair with the teacher (Which would not be very hard to do with the counsel advisor, as I will explain in a second) in the next classroom.
He's never annoyed enough by this to see the principal, or the police for that matter, but I digress.
He's a very normal guy who is not interested in the Harem school life that the other guys in the school fantasize about.
Naruko Yokoshima is the Student Counsel advisor, and a teacher at the school, she is (no surprise) a perverted woman with nothing on her mind but sex.
It is quite ridiculous how much she thinks about it. She's even more perverted than a guy shooting himself up with testosterone on a treadmill getting drunk while getting a BJ. I'm serious.
And the things that she says are hilarious!
She has a thing for younger guys though, so watch out, she may attack you, and trust me, you'll be running.
Or at least that is how the show portrays her.
All the extra characters you will see along the way are just as perverted (except for Naruko), so get ready for an avalanche of sexual humor.
Enjoyment:
I enjoyed this series.
I enjoyed it a lot in fact.
I was always excited to see a new episode.
There are no points that will depress you, they just stay far enough from being offensive (For me at least), and the overall unique way the show is presented was very fun to watch.
Overall:
This is a show full, and I mean the glass is overflowing with sexual humor.
If you ever wanted a show about woman who talk about sex in an over the top, comical way, this isn't just recommended, it is a must watch.
Anyone who do not like sexual humor, and/or are easily offended by it, stay far away.
Amazingly enough, Seitokai Yakuindomo it is not an Ecchi, even though there are probably 1,000 jokes about it in this show.
I'm perfectly fine with that, in fact, I welcome it.
I for one, would love to see more if there ever will be.
This show actually makes me want to read the manga too.

This will be a short review. Tsuda Takoshi joins a formerly all girls school, and joins the student council as Vice President. He and his classmate Suzu are the grounded ones. While Aria and Shino make lewd observations, discuss sex and sex related things candidly.
The series is filled with humor about sex, involve a lot of jokes of the vice president mishearing things as innuendo. Often the series simply drops the story for quick cuts for 1 joke then they move on.
Overall the series is a decent anime. There are better and there are worse. The characters are quite enjoyable and some are downright adorable. If you enjoy slice-of-life comedies and dirty jokes this anime will fill that hole.
I rate it at 6/10 overall because there is nothing amazing about the anime, and there is mostly no story. Its saved by the character design.
