Story: A high school girl Morita Yukari visits Axia of the Solomon Islands in order to look for her father who became lost during his honeymoon trip. There, she meets a man named Nasuda of Solomon Space Agency, and she is hired to work part-time. That job is – an astronaut (source: Anime News Network).
Pros: It's very smart, the dialogue is well written, and its fun. If you want to learn more about the space and how to become an astronaut, then this'll really help you :)
The art and background is decent as well as the animation on the characters, but when it focuses on the space it does a great job blending in CG and 2D and it looks amazing.
I also like the story and how it focuses on space without it having battlefields or parody/reference, its treated like how space usually should be, which is nice. Sadly though, we only see space in four episodes and they go twice (it does mention that they continue doing this at the end) and I really loved those parts.
The characters are all really well developed. Yukari starts off being aggressive and short tempered but eventually learns to calm down and keep a level head. Akane starts off scared, shy, and helpless but after meeting Yukari and being inspired by her and not giving up through training, she gets braver, more determined, and is really smart. Matsuri is also a very fun and spunky character without it being annoying. The side characters aren't as developed but they're fun to watch (they started off being annoying in the beginning though).
The music is also spunky and catchy to listen to without it becoming distracting.
Cons: First half isn't as bad as Fantasista Doll, but its a bit boring to stomach through. Akane and Matsuri don't show up and interact with Yukari until later on in the show, which is sad.

The ending is also rather confusing and sad. While saving some people, the main characters find that if they re-enact the orbit, the rocket will burn up. They try to take a different route and Akane tries to remember the functions on how to control the rocket to move the wavelengths- you know I'm sorry for not making sense. I won't spoil but there's an implication that the main characters die from the rocket burning up(Akane passes out during the fall) but then the end shows that they are alive and well. No explanation but its just a minor complaint, I guess.

Overall: I think its a surprisingly fun ride that's really fun to enjoy, and I highly recommend it. I hope there's a second season of this but its sadly not going to happen since the show last aired in 2007 :< Oh well, at least we got what we got I suppose. This is Jamie38459 saying, I will enter the transfer orbit... now.
Just kidding, anyways... Thanks for reading my 25th review~
