K: Return of Kings
K RETURN OF KINGSIn modern Japan, where history has strangely overlapped with reality. There, seven "Kings" with great superpowers existed. Along with their clansman to whom they shared their own power with, the kings each formed clans. Order bound by blue, red flames that cause chaos, irregularities that shine in white, and reforms branched off into green. The Kings, each with their own abilities, now... With "JUNGLE" once again jumping back into action, the fates of the various Kings are brought together.

Season 2 is definitely a step down from the first season.
The story begins strong and the side plots with HOMRA and Scepter 4 are a definite bonus, but it veers into typical “all you need is friendship” anvilicious territory for the ending.
Similarly to season one, our ‘protagonist character’ Shiro/Adolf does very little of actual note and possesses next to no gravitas. It’s the side characters from HOMRA and Scepter 4 that really steal the show, and even our villains from JUNGLE manage to shine from time to time.
Although some of the animation manages to reach the of the first season, overall it’s much choppier and GoHands frequently switches to the 3D computer animation common in lower budgeted works.
Just like the original K-Project, the music is enjoyable and suits the characters they accompany. Although that isn’t hard, since the majority of it got recycled from season one anyway.
Overall, if you watched K-Project’s first season and enjoyed it, you will find something worth watching in season two - even if it’s a bit sparse on the sauce. If you disliked the first season, it wouldn’t be worth the time to watch the second.

When I first finished this series… it felt like nothing. Like a lot of people have said, it felt like nothing happened, even though a lot happened. But after stepping back and looking at it some more, I realized where the story is here - it’s Saruhiko’s character development, and his relationships with Misaki, and with his King. It’s also Reisi grappling with what happened in the first season, and the likelihood that his own sword will fall. It’s not apparent at first, but this is Scepter 4’s season, just as season 1 belonged to the trio that would become Hakumaitou, and the movie was HOMRA’s.
The other major flaw with this is that the anime really doesn’t feel complete without the novels and manga, particularly Lost Small World, which is about how Saruhiko and Misaki first met, and follows them until Saruhiko meets Reisi and leaves HOMRA. Unfortunately, none of the novels and manga are officially translated, not to mention the myriad short stories, audio dramas, etc. that complete this story. So, if you just watch the anime, you’re not getting the full story… but the full story is so great that I can’t even consider giving this anything but five stars.

As always , stunning animation and beautiful action sequences. The music fit and in regards to appearance , were fantastic. I felt the plot and character development lacked significantly in places , and the ending was rather rushed ; but it's not surprising for a 13 episode series. It's a shame that this series never gets the recognition it deserves , as it is relatively unique and brilliantly animated.

The plot made more impact here than in the first season, and the characters were fleshed out more, but beware of fanservice.

As bad as the first season will be the simple conclusion for Return of Kings except the absence of Angela's OP.
No story indeed, Please help me to find one.
And the lines are keep repeating because there are too few lines and the plot is too thin.
K is still very beautiful and holds a lot of production value on it's own. The artstyle is distinctive yet pretty, the backgrounds are truly amazing.
No doubt its the best looking anime of the season(Winter 15).
The OP is terrible. They switched Angela out and used the seiyuu of Anna. What a mess. The ending is quite bland but manageable.
Soundtracks used are another shining point of the show. Perfect bland with the flow especially the battles. And sounds posh during normal scenes too along with the gorgeous visuals.
Everyone who stays for the show are here for the boys. And they're even better, just freaking resurrect my Mikoto already.
Characters own very strong personalities. Like they're the point of the show.
I found myself constantly skipping scenes especially with Yashiro repeating the same things or random craps. It's quite bad but on the same time Yukari is making me stay for the show, Munakata is shining bright for this season too.
As a conclusion, for fujoshi's or fudanshi's eyes only. No one will come for the story. In some sense quite alike with the Kancolle or the will-be-happening Touken anime, but way better looking.
