Here’s my review of Fuuka from YouTube.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cWCB1voYWNs&feature=youtu.be
In this review, I made a video of my impressions of Fuuka when it was Halfway through the series, and then I discuss the series after it ends. I know it was a show that A LOT of people dropped. So that’s why I wanted to review it…Also because I reviewed Suzuka 6 years prior. Anyway, I hope you enjoy!

The series does what it wants to tell you.
The rhythm of the series is a constant thing that many animes can not say, despite having some cliche there and there is still (at least for me) the best series of this season, at least in the romantic area.
Although my Western mind can not often with Japanese romances, in fact this series at least does not become as stupid as many novels. That’s a plus, as sometimes I think the “Japanese romance” or what they want to reflect on is simply stupid.
But anyway, do I recommend the series? Of course.

We don’t get that many original endings in anime, wich is a shame.
You see, even if the series didn’t went the same way the manga did, the ending is fairly engaging and the story quite exceptional, we always root for the underdog.
Both heroines got a fair chance and time on screen, something the manga barely hinted at and haven’t touched for half a year now (Koyuki).
Even though the production could do some work, maybe the bidget wasn’t big enpugh or was expent in creating the original music for the series. I would have liked some more detail on the instruments.
… I’m rambling.
What i’m trying to say is, even if the series has an original ending, and the route greatly differs from the manga, that’s a good thing and should be encouraged to do. We need more complete stories in this medium.

Just started today but absolutely surprised by it. Didn’t know anything about this show before I watched it so didn’t really know what to expect. It’s more on the realistic side of anime, as it doesn’t randomly become chibi style or weird humor. Even without those this show is really entertaining and the characters really shine. The romance of the show captured me and I’m excited to see how it goes!

After three episodes this show is pretty awesome.
Not the same old clichés I am used to seeing in this kind of anime, and Fuuka Akitsuki is a thoroughly enjoyable character.

Fuuka
Episode 1
Main Cast so far
Yuu Haruna
Fuuka Akitsuki
Yuu moves with his younger sister to Tokyo because as you have guessed his parents move to the USA for work. He has come to live with his two older sisters.
Life is full of injustices walking through town like many teens on twitter he gets run into by Fuuka and because he has his phone in his hand she of course jumps to the conclusion that he is trying for a pantie shot. And everyone who has ever watched Anime knows what is coming next. The face punch and to add insult to injury she destroys his phone. All of this based on her assumption that he took a photo he never took. never mind that she is the one who jumped into him the innocent bystander. Continuing the theme of going home he finds his sisters all laying around in bras and panties because “its hot” and the famous “we are family its fine”. he is not fine with it and heads to his room. All the while taking flack from his sisters for the events that happened to him via twitter.
Day one ends as baddy as you can imagine and tomorrow well here we go again.
Day two transfer to a new school but don’t start today wonder around and get to know the school. standing on the roof of the school he takes a photo of downtown and as he turns. Oh no you guessed it Fuuka is standing above him on the top of the next level and she sees him with his phone again. Again the accusations fly you are a pervert etc. etc. etc. The ensuing battle over his phone causes it to fall from the top of the school building to the grounds below. He runs down and spends time looking for the phone but gives up when he could not find it. once he is home he realizes he has no way to vent on Twitter and falls asleep.
you can tell from the pace of the show that it is taking time to build the players up and give them stories. The fact that they show normal life and leave in the bumps and challenges of uprooting your life is one of the better features of this episode.
The over all art work is not bad and the movement is fluid. The stage is set for this series to go in a few different directions. It has the markings of a Harem series. it also has the Romantic comedy series / love triangle potential. I hope they continue to build the stories of the cast and keep live moving with out loosing the potential for fun.
There is more to see in the series as more of the supporting cast are revealed. This could be a fun series to watch this season. I am going to agree with the reviews I have seen so far and put this at 3 to 3.5 out of five.
