Expelled from Paradise
楽園追放 -Expelled from Paradise-In a future where a massive disaster has devastated Earth, most of humanity has abandoned their physical bodies and relocated in digital form to DEVA, an advanced space station orbiting the ravaged planet. Free from the limitations of traditional existence, such as death and hunger, the inhabitants of this virtual reality reside in relative peace until Frontier Setter, a skilled hacker, infiltrates the system and spreads subversive messages to the populace. Labeled a threat to security by authorities, Frontier Setter is pursued by Angela Balzac, a dedicated member of DEVA's law enforcement. When the hacker's signal is traced to Earth, Angela takes on physical form, transferring her consciousness to a clone body and traveling to the world below in order to deal with the menace. On Earth, she is assisted by Dingo, a charismatic agent, and during her journey to uncover the mystery behind Frontier Setter, she gradually discovers startling realities about the wasteland some of humanity still refers to as home, as well as the paradise above. The art style is a little different but it suits the story when you dive into it a bit. Now i watched the dub and it was actually rather well done, might take a moment to get used to but adapts rather quickley and suits the characters. Without spoiling anything the twist was a little predictable but it was well done nonetheless. Also i beleive that this movie can have multiple adaptions and have a sequal a prequal and even an in depth 12-24 episode series re-doing the movie in some of that series, but also delve more into certain areas.
I would reccomend this movie, the story is nice the characters feelings are well broadcasted and the animation is simply fantastic.

Decent animation, cool concepts - but shallow character development and story. Overall good enjoyment.

Heard, how everyone hyped this title, so - finnaly spent some time to watch it. So:
1. Story. Its starts not very original, partially makes me remember Ergo Proxy (but not so dark). Main problem is time of this title - its could be awesome in 12 series format, but 1:40 (or so) film kills it. It starts become intresting, then suddenly cuted and ended. Sad.
2. Animation. 2much graphony for me, lol. Rlly - its very colorfull, but 3d (or pseudo-3d, idk) elements are... strange and requires time to accept them.
3. Sound. Its rlly cool. Not "WOW, 11/10", but not worst too. Its cool.
4. Characters. As I said, story cuted so early. So - main characters have their own personality, but there is not much time to show it.
So. You can spend your time and traffic to watch this title on torrents. But buy... meh, there are lots of better-made stuff. This title is like Hollywood films - enjoyable once, but you wont watch them again. 7/10

What can I say...I actually like this brand of optimistic Urobuchi.

And you thought Aldnoah.Zero had too much CGI.
Rakuen Tsuihou: Expelled from Paradiseis an original sci-fi/mecha anime movie, with lots of robots, lots of girls, and also, here’s the best part, lots of exposition. Now why would anyone watcha generic movie about generic mechas that do generic things? Well….
The Two Major Reasons You’re Watching this thing:
1. TheAnimation
The whole thing is CGI. That ugly computer generated stuff they put inthose 2D shows when the budget runs dry? Yeah, it’s 1 hour and 48 minutes ofthat. That’s not to say it’s god-awful, in fact since it is all computergenerated, it all sort of blends nicely and fluently together, especially inthose absolute standout mecha to mecha battles.
2. TheProduction Crew
So Rakuen Tsuihou: Expelled from Paradise, has two rather noteworthy individualspulling the strings here. First off there’s Seiji Mizushima, most famous forhis contributions to Fullmetal Alchemistand Gundam 00. He knows how to makeaction scenes really work so on that front be sure to expect some pretty goodfight scenes
Then there’s GenUrobuchi, most famous for his dark, “edgy” storytelling and participation inshows such as Fate/Zero, and Puella Magi Money-maker Magica. So forsome reason, this guy is like some viewer magnet as anything with his name onit instantly gets 100x more viewers than it should really get, (e.g. Aldnoah.Zero, Psycho-Pass Season 2, Susei noGargantina, etc). In fact, Gen Urobuchi is probably the main reason thatmost people even give a damn about the film in first place. So does this liveup to the “Urobutcher’s” legacy? Is it the masterpiece of writing and storytelling that the prodigy has done countless times beforehand? Not reallyactually.
What Actually Makes this Worth Viewing:
1. The Action Scenes
If there is one thingthat Rakuen Tsuihou: Expelled fromParadise really delivers on, then that’d probably be its mecha on mechabattle. Notice the word “battle”, as in single battle. Yes, despite being ashow about robots and fighting, there is only one real mecha battle. This wouldbe quite disappointing except for the fact that this one battle spans theentire last half of the film, which I have mixed feelings about. On one hand, the last half of the film gives you the best climax that a film about mechascould buy, but that leaves the first half to be a complete drag through asthere’s almost no action for the first half of Rakuen Tsuihou: Expelled from Paradise.
But don’t bedissuaded by my criticisms, there are a few other action scenes in the show, but only one of them is actually a full on mecha battle. So in that respect, Ifind the action scenes in general to be quite well set up, and are definitelythe main reason anyone in their right mind should be watching this.
2. The Music
Walking into thisfilm, music was not one of those things that really seemed to be something thatwould really excel in this film, but it really was. Given the revolutionarynature of the film, with all of it’s next-gen xbox one graphics, its electronictechno tracks are very fitting and make every scene so much more enjoyable. Butif techno dance club music isn’t your cup of tea, I’d disregard this highlightentirely.
What Makes this Not Worth Watching:
1. The Story and Pacing
If one thing reallykills this movie, it’s the story. Bleh. It’s a predictable story about theoutsider from some other world who doesn’t like the natives of the world he/sheis now in, yet goes on to care for the natives and protect them in the end. It’snothing new, and Rakuen Tsuihou: Expelledfrom Paradise certainly doesn’t go leaps and bounds to innovate its cliché plot. The worst part being that a majority of the movie is caught telling its story. Personally,I don’t care much about a world I’ll only be visiting for under 2 hours, andtherefore it’s disappointing when RakuenTsuihou: Expelled from Paradise spends most of its time fleshing out itsgeneric world when the real reason the viewer is watching the film is for itsaction scenes. This is one of the largest detractors for the film, as it failsto really “get to the point” and straggles along through its middle portionwith long drawn out conversations, and boring monologues.
2. The Characters
Rakuen Tsuihou: Expelled from Paradisebeing just shy of 2 hours long, has a lot to establish in such a small timeframe while also being entertaining. The one thing really left on the backburnerof Expelled from Loli Paradise is characters. Theyr’e undoubtedly dry andbland, harkening the usual archetypes you’ll see in anime. Best instance ofthis is the main protagonist, Angel Balzac, who is both a tsundere and a loliall wrapped up into one generic package. In short, don’t expect anythingmemorable from our heroes.
The Breakdown
The film in questionis a unique case. There’s lots of visual and audio splendor to behold but ithas little to no depth as a consequence. Expect nothing new, but a refinedversion of the usual action flick spiel.

The story is okay. You're average "utopian" virtual dimension where the Earth is a wasteland and the undesirables live on the planet while the evolved live in space. Main female is terrible tsundere; I can understand why she is but I don't care, she is that bad. Main dude is pretty chill though and he saves this anime from being even worse. Until the end, it was an okay movie, but the end was so bad it ruined everything. The end could have been so much better but alas we got what we got. I wouldn't recommend anyone watch this ever.
