Inari, Konkon, Koi Iroha whan i started watching this anime i thought to myself this gonna be good but boy was i wrong.

Story:5/10

well i don't where to begin but here we go (Inari) is girl who can't do anything right when she's near her crush (Tanbabashi) so in frustration she goes to a shrine and make a wish to be someone else and from there our story begins but is it good for me no and i know that is just 10 episode series but come on there some interesting things going on like a human falls in love with a goddess and maybe it's neutral. and a girl loves another girl and she said it to here friends but nothing happened after that. and even (Inari) & (Tanbabashi) story not the main focus they opened so many possibilities but they didn't close it they just focused on the relationship between (Inari) & (Ukanomitama-no-kami)

Art:7/10

It's good nothing special don't worry you will like it

Sound:7/10

It didn't grab My attention as in OP and ED but the voices was awesome i like it fits the characters models

Character:8/10

will there was a good Character development although there was some Character got on my nerve (Inari) man she cries a lot but other then that she got a development and some secondary Characters too

Enjoyment: 6/10

While was there some moments that makes me laugh and episode that i liked but there somethings just got on me nerve

Overall:6/10

if you wanna watch it go ahead it's not that bad but if you wants a romance school setup that is not it

Inari, Konkon, Koi Iroha is one of those animes I didn't plan on watching, but I ended up loving.

It has a cute little girl as a protagonist, an even cuter tiny fox as her companion and a blonde goddess with huge boobs who plays date sims. Seems like a good plan.

The worst part of the anime is probably the ending. It's like: "welp, ok". A couple of extra episodes would have done wonders, because nothing is happening until the end, where in two episodes everything happens.

Anyway, a nice surprise from the Winter season.

This is the story of a girl who borrows a god's power to improve aspects of her life, like dealing with friendship drama and perhaps confessing to that cute boy she likes. The power allows her to change into anyone else, which isn't extraordinarily unique, but could potentially make for some interesting situations.

To be fair, the show does an adequate job of showcasing that the power has both positive and negative influences on her daily life. Sometimes it can get Inari out of a jam, and sometimes it just makes everything worse. I liked how this was handled, it makes it so the power doesn't just become the instant "fix-everything" button and makes the show a bit more plausible. I don't feel like the show made full use of the potential, for what it was, it could've been a lot worse.

The cast is small and simple and work their respective roles fairly well. Nobody particularly stands out aside from maybe Inari herself, who is just so delightfully upbeat and sensible. She has genuine chemistry with her friends and even with her love interest, who is a believably nice young man, although he lacks any kind of unique qualities.

Inari is also one of the cutest girls of the Winter 2014 season, I'll give her that.

The story follows a mostly predictable pattern of certain social scenarios cropping up that challenge our heroine, in which she makes clever (or sometimes not so clever) use of her newfound power to make everything work in her favor. It's predictable, but that doesn't mean it isn't enjoyable. Although it dragged at times, I enjoyed the ride well enough. It's just I've seen these same kinds of scenarios a lot before.

The animation is simple and basic, which fits the tone of the story and setting. The character designs are alright, if a little generic. I do take issue with the music however, which is often overly sappy to the point making the drama seem almost hilariously forced, even if it isn't. It isn't bad, but it doesn't always fit the situation, making things seem like far bigger deals than they actually are, which sucked me out of the show on a number of occasions. The music would drag the sound score down to 3 or 4 but thankfully the voice acting makes up for it.

All in all, it is a decent enough show. It is brought down by being a tad bit generic, a little bit drawn out and a bit melodramatic at times. Still, clocking in at only 10 episodes, I recommend a watch if you're in the mood for some light drama.

Rewatch Value: No (On a Yes/Maybe/No scale)

With only 10 episodes, Inari Konkon Koi Iroha is a simple slice of life anime that delves slightly into the polytheistic religion of Buddhism. It's mostly a comedy with some drama mixed in more and more as the story progresses.

The story begins with Inari, an average girl with a crush on a guy named Tanbabashi. Inari is shy and cannot confess her feelings. On top of that, she believes another girl named Sumizome might have feelings for him. Inari wishes to be more like Sumizome and get closer to Tanbabashi, and makes a wish at her local shrine. Surprinsingly to her, her wish is granted and she is transformed into Sumizome. But does this really solve her problem? Obviously not, and more complications arise leading to Inari gaining a small amount of divine power which allows her to transform into other people.

One problem I have with this setup is that it uses the romance as a plot device and nothing more. The relationship between Inari and Tanbabashi could have been much stronger, especially if Tanbabashi was actually a main character. Instead, it is just used as a reason to give Inari her powers and start the plot.

The characters are very average with the minor characters (Inari's friends especially) being more interesting than Inari and Uka-sama, the god who granted Inari her power. The character designs, especially their faces and more specifically their eyes, was one aspect I did really like. Inari is a typical shy and kind protagonist who slowly progresses throughout the story. Uka is a typical mature "older sister"ish character who occasionally acts childish.

The rest of the animation is also fairly good. Taking place in an average, hilly Japanese town, the setting includes many shrines and other forested areas. The divine realm is about what you would expect with a very traditional Japanese setting. Nothing really stands out, but nothing is noticeably bad either. The soundtrack consists of mostly soft and lighthearted tracks featuring many string and light wind instruments. Again, nothing really stands out, but it does fit the mood of the show nicely.

While it is enjoyable for the most part, there were so many aspects like the romance and minor characters which I wish had been more in-depth. Inari and Uka are fine protagonists, but together they can just get dull at some times as their development is spread out so much that it takes a while for them to change much at first. Still, if you enjoy Japanese culture or shape shifting, then you may enjoy this. Just don't go into it expecting a strong romance element. Though there is just a small amount of shoujo ai.

Fushimi Inari has a hopeless crush on her classmate Tanbabashi. One day, while trying to interact with him, she accidentally humiliates him in front of the whole class. He refuses to accept her apologies, and, to make matters worse, she discovers that he probably has a crush on their incredibly cute classmate Sumizome. She has all these things in mind when she is summoned by Uka-no-Mitama-no-kami, a pale fox goddess. In return for rescuing a little fox-spirit creature before school that day, the goddess offers to grant a single wish of Inari's. Without thinking, she blurts out that she wants to be Sumizome. As one might expect, this wish does not go nearly as well as Inari had hoped, and the kindly goddess breaks a goddess-rule to give Inari the ability to change herself back. Now, Inari can change her own shape at will, and using her new skill is very tempting as she keeps trying to win Tanbabashi's heart. But if Inari flaunts her ability, both she and the goddess might end up in trouble with Amaterasu!
