Hidan no Aria AA is a spin off the the Hidan no Aria series. Its apparent that this spin off is cashing in on the success of Prisma Ilya. This show apparently doesnt know who its core demographic is, as there are better yuri out there and it is definitely not Aria ses 2. With that out of the way lets proceed to the actual review.

STORY

There is an overarching story through out the series but its not the major vocal point. Most episodes have self contained stories with slight hint on what is going on. If you are in anyway familiar with the medium you would probably guess whats going to happen at the end of the series. Its that generic.

ANIMATION

Speaking of generic, so is the animation. Nothing stands out much, besides the occasional crappy cgi. The artwork is nothing to write home about and some set piece just looks downright lazy. At least it is watchable and sometimes it conveys the colorful and cheerful feeling and contrast it to the supposedly darker side aspect to it. In other words they applied a black and purple filter on other scene.

SOUND

As generic as it gets (anyone seeing the pattern here?), the osts doesn't stand out much neither does it carry the mood. Its just there.

The sound design is nothing revolutionary either. Its just as creative as youtube sfm short clips with stock sounds.

CHARACTERS

You have returning characters like Aria, Riko and Reki. And a whole slew of your run of the mill anime cookie cutter character. They are not interesting, downright boring, bland and you actually have to try to remember names.

ENJOYMENT

I tried really hard to enjoy this series, i really did. But even with my brain turned off it is just a bloody chore to watch this weekly and i am just doing it as i am invested in practically nothing.

CONCLUSION

Dont watch this unless you have nothing to do. Even then going for a jog would be better than wasting 6 .hours of this crap. Its a blatant cash grab that doesnt appeal to anyone, there are better shoujou-ai/yuri out there and its definitely not Aria ses2. Go watch something else.

I have very mixed feelings on this season. In itself it's very enjoyable, the plot is... as okay as you can get for yuri garbage. The art is decent, the soundtrack is pretty solid, and the characters aren't too flat. 

That's about as far as it goes though. I remember watching the original series of Hidan no Aria after reading the manga a few years ago; and it was excellent. In comparison, AA fails to deliver the same level of hype and actual storytelling (see: not yuri fanservice) as the original story; leaving instead a not-anything-special "girl with gun" action show laden with yuri undertones. If that's your kind of thing, then AA is probably great. If you enjoyed the first season of Hidan no Aria, you're probably going to be disappointed. 

It is however only episode 11, so perhaps by some miracle the show will pick up and at least come close to matching the original series.

to be honest, the only reason i'm watching this is for the kinji cameos. 

But seriously, It's not bad, nostalgia makes me enjoy this more than i would if i never saw hidan no aria before. This is softcore yuri sort of. and the fans of the original series are mostly harem and/or action fans, so it doesn't really appeal to the right audience.  I and i'm pretty sure like 90% of the viewers would have much rather had a second season.

i dont want to judge fast but.. they have completely destroyed the concept of Hidan No Aria with this others world.. i highly prefer the original and i have hoped to have a real Season 2 ... not a thing who contain only girl and banned completely the nice guy we have got in the real Hidan No Aria.. i dont say thats gonna be bad after 1 episode but.. this is too much change... look like clearly not serious like the previous Season .. this is just a little sad.... i have some difficulties to watched it... because of how much the serie is weird now.. ( the old guy in the 1st season is now very secondary.. he is not completely banned but he look like now a very secondary characters .. i dont know how the thing will turn )

Note* this reviews is temporary i just want to let know everyone about all this change..and i know thats a another world but.. this is not soo fun like the first season*   -writed after only 1 episode so dont take it soo bad my review is not finish and will be writed when the anime gonna be finish...

I will mention a lot of time the Hidan No Aria the first season because of all the change in this other world but i feel like this is necessary to say it so that's normal and i don't really compare to the first season

About The Storyour story begin with Akari who want to be a Butei like Aria because she really admire her but she will ask her to become her Amica for doing mission together but Aria will not let anyone be her Amica soo easily so she gonna test Akari first for seeing if she is enough strong for being her partner for missions , the story will turn a lot around this thing.. without forget that there is a story about Akari who look like a really bad past that she don't talk about it and this is a little interesting to know what is it same goes for the test that Aria give to Akari .. did she gonna success or not.. ? well.. i cannot say it anyway... the story build-up contain some unnecessary event who are not related to the story but this is normal.. the only problem is that they have put too much of it and i think the most interesting part is the end.. this is the most serious part i have seen in the anime but finish the more fast too , there some Drama who are not necessary.. like some minor problem who become a big problem but yeah something is missing into this story.. i mean that's not look like serious like this is supposed to be and because i have already seen Hidan No Aria i think Aria AA is really different and don't beat the first season at all , this is a interesting story but there some awkward details in this serie and they don't have used the total potential of it.. we can say that's can be better if they put more important story than random events !

About The Animation and Soundsthe animation have turned into Moe graphics for some reason and that's make the anime lost a little bit of seriousness but they are good and clean but i think that's can be a little better , i prefer the old graphic like the first season but if you haven't watched Hidan No Aria already i think that's gonna be alright. 
for the Opening and Ending they are good and fit with the anime but i highly prefer the Opening because they show more things related to the story and look more serious but i leave you the link .. !

About The Characters
we got a bunch of lovable and cute character in this anime but that's only contain girl too so.. yeah there only 1 guy who are very secondary but this is the main character from the previous serie that's pretty sad that he have a very little role in Hidan No Aria AA because that's have been a good character but anyway back to the topic.. and let's talk about them !

Kanzaki Aria Holmes / the awesome and popular Butei Rank SS who are really skilled in fighting and shooting and she normally does her mission alone without help , pretty small but dangerous... she normally use guns too and she is a Tsundere but she don't very show it in Aria AA

Mamiya Akari / our main character who have a big admiration for Aria she really want to be like her and she can be jealous of Kinji because he is sometimes with her , she hide something that i cannot say who are a little interesting , she is a little bit too much gentle and sometimes i find her a little stupid because of the drama she make but xD.. that's not a problem and she can be clumsy a little too and she want to be the Amica of Aria for working together in her mission. she use the same gun of Aria too because she want to be like her so yeah.. she is in training too for being more strong and be the Amica of Aria ( but she hide something and i will not spoil it )

Shino Sasaki / she is the schoolmate of Akari and we can say this is her best friend too , and she really but really love Akari we can say near of being a stalker , she use a katana and look like pretty strong well that i think... , she is very gentle and kind but when that's come to be something about Akari she can be really crazy and jealous of it.. ! that's a funny one when she got jealous xD

Hino Raika / the girl who have a male aura if you got what i mean but she can be very girly too.. she is very mature and serious but she very like cute thing and can't resist to it , she like a little bit Kirin too and fight with gun but big one and melee combat 

Kirin Shima / a cute loli who love Raika she is a junior Butei and ask sometimes to Raika to help her but she just want to be wit her and she have a lot of loli friends too for luring Raika and she keep a little plushie with her but a special one if i remember this is like a weapon , she don't fight a lot because she is a junior Butei but can be very helpful and funny , she have a cat smile too the most of the time and thats what i like with her xD

Fuuma Hina / this girl is a ninja and are pretty fast she don't appear a lot in the anime but we see her at each episode i think , because she gather information easily and we never see her face because she hide it for some reason and yeah she is strong too but we don't see her fighting a lot and she use like Shuriken , Kunai etc.. everything that a ninja can use and yeah she can teleport too o: !
Urara Takashiro / the show off girl who are billionaire , a pretty nice character because she show off and she can be funny but she is a very kind person.. and care about the one she like but she just hide it , she have a powerful gun for fight..that's shoot a really powerful bullet but yeah she can be bad too but don't judge her too fast 

Yuyu Aizawa and Yaya Aizawa / this 2 girls are twins and everytime with Urara because they are fan of her and like her a lot , they don't have anything specials but are very loyal to Urara and like receiving order from her they do some funny thing sometimes and they use uzi (gun) for fight and the most of the time they are a support for Urara

Kinji Tooyama / i want to mention him because he is a important character in the first season but he got a really secondary role but they don't have change his personality so yeah just want to let you know ! the most of the time he is with Aria because they are friend but yeah very secondary role in this Aria AA D: !

Momoko Suzuki / she is a specialist in poison if we can say this like that and she is pretty small but strong too , and she have colored nails and wear everytime a glove on the hand where she have colored nails but there is a reason for it and you will discover it later !

About The Enjoymentwell this is a funny anime i will not hide it the only problem come from the story and the big difference between Hidan No Aria and Hidan No Aria AA that was pretty great and cute sometimes so yeah i have nothing bad to say about the enjoyment and i have liked the Comedy the have put in it so.. yeah i have nothing more to say xD

well Hidan No Aria still really better of Hidan No Aria AA , if we compare... the difference are too high between them ! but that's have been funny and enjoyable but i just got some difficulties because of all the things they have change in this other world without forget they have changing the anime into a Moe when that's have been really more serious and really a good Romance in the first season and the 2 anime are not related to each others they are completely different so if you question yourself about which one to watch first , i will say... if you watch Double AA first , you will don't have any problem with it but when you gonna watch Hidan No Aria you will know why i say that.. because the first season still at a unfinished point at the end and they come back with a other world with nothing related or hint about the real serie... this is kinda sad and deceiving ... so yeah i have liked it but.. not like the real anime i am supposed to watch
