I didn't watch this at first because of a couple misunderstandings. One was in the title. Not doing any research and relying on a couple random forum posts I glanced over with my dyslexic eyes, I was under the impression that our main total fucking badass Ikki was actually a failure. From there I 'decided' that it was going to be a shitty comedy about how much of a failure he was. Also in my misunderstandings, I got it in my head that he lost his fight in the first episode and ended up as Stella's slave, which made me think of The Familiar of Zero, a series I hated. I only picked this up because I heard it had some good fight scenes, and I've got this craving for action series at the moment, particularly ones with sharp weapons and fuck you magical powers. Anyway, after the first episode, I discovered everything I thought I knew about this show was wrong. I was hooked instantly. It was extremely entertaining. A good main character. Good supporting characters as well. A bit of light humor, and wonderfully choreographed and animated action sequences. It's not a series that requires you to do too much thinking, but you definitely don't have to shut your brain off to enjoy it. Everything makes sense within the world they've created and no one acts retarded to advance the plot. Barring episode 11, it has great pacing, but even that, the eleventh episode is enjoyable for other reasons, and they do actually make the quick passage of time flow and feel natural, but it still goes by quite fast. Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry is a high energy, action packed thrill ride that's easy to love and has very few things to get frustrated at. It doesn't do anything groundbreaking, but on a pure enjoyment scale, God, this it was just so much fun. It's also not taxing on the tear ducts, like a lot of shows I've watched recently. Looking at you Sakurasou no pet na Kanojo. Nice seeing hard work pay off for a change. Umm, so yeah, watch this show. It's good. Peace.

Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry follows Ikki I failed Knight he goes to a Magical Knights school for modern day magic-users unfortunately he has no magical power. But he has very great sword skills as a kid he was cast out of his family for not being good with a sword. This is when he ran away from home in attempt to become a great swords man. He later learned the way of the sword and set out to become a true knight to show his family they were wrong and to make them proud. This is where he meets Stella a top ranked Knight in there school. This is where things get interested due to rooming usually people will be roomed by skill the best with the best and the worst with the worst but Stella was so good and Ikki was so bad there was no one to compare so they wind up roomed together. Throughout this series you see a strong bond grown between them with Ikki strong swordsmanship and Stella strong magical ability they wind up being a force to be reckoned with. Ikki and Stella make a promise to win the Seven Star Sword Art Festival and give it there all. They meet a lot of hardships a long the way. Strong opponents and evil villains. Ikki even ends up captured and detained by his own family but at the end they overcome these obstacles and strengthen there relationship and wind up placing in the tournament as well! I honestly thought the concept of this series was very well done very refreshing characters and very awesome plot twist to bring together a awesome series.

Apart from the fact that Ikkis sister wants to have a realationship with him, the anime is good, it isn't the best one i've ever watched, but it is good. That is actually the complete review

This show has exceeded my expectations greatly and has been one of my favorites this year. In the beginning it looked like another harem/magical school show similar to Baka and Test, but I was proven wrong. The romance in this show is great and made me love how honest the characters are with each other and aren't afraid to show it. The action scenes are probably my favorite out of any show I've seen in 2015 and the opening is incredibly catchy. I recommend it to anyone who might be tired of some of the more cliched romance stories and wants to see some incredible action scenes.

I watched the first episode and I have the impression of having seen this anime ... It reminds me Seirei Tsukai no Blade Dance.

I found this show enjoyable as it had some ecchi elements but it actually progressed with the MC picking one of the characters from the harem and going out with them. It also had nice animation and well choreographed action scenes. I found there was fan service but it did not get in the way of the show or break the immersion.

Just a Advice... take a look at what i have to said before thinking something.. after 5 episode only don't take it soo bad i just need to express that thing and warning everyone about it... for not having bad experience or waste your time..

well we have a build-up and story who are clearly a little bit randomness i mean.. Nowhere Romance ? Harem in progress with no logical and solid reason .. , the return of the guy with a bad past who are weak but become strong with relationship reason , everyone think he is dumb and weak as fuck but some mysterious character and friends believe in him for whatever reason , for be short we got a bunch of thing with no logical... we can say that's a build up like Absolute Joke (Absolute Duo) nothing have something who follow a logic path and just bunch of event happen because this is writed like that , Ecchi will probably take the place in the next episode , this anime make me think about "Shinmai Maou No Testament" who i really find bad because of the nowhere events... , why soo much asshole are in this anime and the only good guys are the 5 friends.. without forget the dumb public who talkshit and do nothing.... , anyway i will stop here for the moment and make a full review with more good information when the anime will be finish..

but take in consideration what i have say to you..,

plus this anime is very similar to Gakusen Toshi Asterisk who are clearly better and have a more serious build-up and logical path.. , i will leave you judge for now... but take this information in consideration for now... 

i just feel something really bad coming from this anime... this is just not good for some people... if you don't feel watching it stay away from this anime... a bad Aura is coming from this anime

but... yeah Give it A Try First because this is a little funny sometimes

i just want to warning you before reading this... i'm strict with this anime for some reason.. and i want to mention there a lot of people who like this anime but for me that's not.

About The Story
they said the tale of the worst one , we begin with Ikki who are really bad ranked and not strong like the others.. but he will not give up so easily..  and he will grow up a lot during the anime i don't really know how he grow up in power but .. i think this is the power of friendship who strike again ! the story is really awkward because they change path everytime and change the potential goal and come back with it again i think the creator have been lost a lot into his creation because that's really bad without being too rude the story going up and going down... the Romance have got some potential but no real reason why they love each other... i mean there clearly no build-up about it and that's suck a lot they just love each others like that... they do a lot of cute thing in Romance but i just cannot like this because there no reason why... that's ridiculous , near of the final they change completely everything !!! that's become a Political Affair and that's just appear at the end WTF!? during all this time no problem but at the final WATCH OUT ! at the beginning i have thinking that's gonna be a Academy where they fight but that's more serious than that and this is really awkward ... there a lot of moment when they talk in there head and remind their friends... and some speech this is pretty annoying because they do that at each fight.. 1 or 2 time this is alright but they clearly done this at each time... the final is rush as f**k and show that's there a possibility to have a Season 2 , i think they just have write everything nowhere for filling-up or something but i'm clearly not satisfied... the public is more than dumb.. well this anime don't follow the goal they have fixed they just put some event until they have the correct time for put the thing important they have want to show.. for be more understandable they don't have a lot of thing to show. they just want to make the anime like they want without taking in consideration how much the story is poor.. but well that's having some good points sometimes but they are very little.. the build-up is just fked up and this is not pleasant to watch

About The Animation and Soundsfor the graphic they are not at the big quality but are reasonable and the combat effect are pretty nice , like when they take out their sword before fighting , for the Opening and Ending well they are more awesome than the actual anime.. well let's say that the Opening fit a little bit with the anime but the Ending is.. idk but they are both awesome to hear. i leave you the link for it

About The Characters
this anime have a strong point concerned about the characters because they are not bad like the story is.. i mean they have great personality and good charms but the public characters are dumb.. anyway let's talk about them

Ikki Kurogane / the main characters who are know as the worst one because he Ranked F and he has never be strong.. he got the opportunity to enter the Academy as a special favor so.. he don't have need to past any test and are in this Academy because of his father position , he is someone pretty normal but when he fight his technique is to steal the other person technique but not completely "like having their power is something he cannot" but yeah he got more strong when he think about his friends and remember a lot of time what the others have say to him when he is in trouble... let's say this is a great character

Stella Vermillion / this is the Tsundere girl who gonna be roommate with Ikki , and she is Ranked A who mean she is pretty strong and she is a Fire Element , she is a pretty serious girl too and complicated to defeat into a fight and without forget that she is a Princess too

Shizuku Kurogane / little sister of Ikki she really love him and don't care that this is her brother and she is the only one in the family who care about Ikki , she is Water Element and can freeze the water too so she can fight easily at long distance and she is Ranked-B but yeah she can be jealous if a girl talk with Ikki 

Nagi Arisuin ( Alice ) / a guy who prefer to be called Alice i think he is probably Homosexual not sure but he is Ranked D and he is Dark Element this is a very great guy , i mean he is someone who you can count on it for helping you and he will be here for you everytime we can call this a real best friend and he will be the roommate of Shizuku 
Tōka Tōdō / she is the president of the student council and very serious and change her attitude completely into a fight , she is Ranked B and Lighting Element very strong in close range and can completely one hit someone and K.O him , but behind this she is someone really different.. , she is more kind and friendly outside a fight

Yuri Oriki / a funny teacher who have a strange problem.. she vomit blood a lot sometimes and look like she is sleepy everytime but that's a very fun teacher and care about her students like Ikki , that's a little bit because of her that he have the opportunity to be in the Academy

About The Enjoyment
the story have deceiving me a lot same goes for the Romance with no reason.. i got fun just a little bit only because of the characters and the fights during the anime.. i don't have expected that will be this bad.. i think i got more fun in the Opening than the anime but yeah that's really depend of you but i'm out for this one..

if you don't really care about the reason why something is happening in the anime and don't need anything like serious build-up.. well there a chance you will like this anime but if you really like watching something good there is a chance that you dislike this anime but.. i didn't get any fun i just have feel deceive during all the anime for all the awkward event spawning nowhere for no apparent reason..

But i will say you one thing...

i recommand you to watch Gakusen Toshi Asterisk instead.. but the fan of Rakudai will probably say the opposite.. i just can't like this rushed anime who just put the event they want without solid reason..

Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry initially seemed  to have potential to be quite interesting because of its setting. However it quickly turned into a shallow ecchi series with bland characters and a poorly executed romance story.  A big problem here is that the romance part seems to be a large chunk of the series overall story something that makes it suffer since it is really basic and just not good.

Also its concept and setting is not that unique either if you have seen any harem/ecchi series with a school setting and some combat you have pretty much seen this one already

Something that does not help the series either is the fact that similar series already exists and were aired quite recently. Not to mention the fact that another one is being aired at the same time with really similar settings and characters (Gakusen Toshi Asterisk). Since it does not bring anything new to the table or delivers a stellar performance Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry does not stand out in any way.

Overall it is basically another one of those anime series that will not show anything special or create much interest for its viewers since there are so many previous series that does a better job. The ecchi parts just reinforce that notion and makes it even worse.
