This is a world after it was attacked by unidentified monsters known as beasts and many of the species in the world, including humans, had been destroyed. The species that had managed to survived left the ground and were living on a floating island called Regal Ele. Willem Kumesh, wakes up above the clouds 500 years later and couldn’t protect the ones who he wanted to protect. Actually, he was living in despair because he was the only survivor. A lot better than you might think, looking at it from a surface level.
Some outstanding points worth mentioning:
- Beautiful soundtrack. Scarborough Fair is good stuff :ok_hand:
- Fun cast. Despite it seeming like Loli House Simulator 2017, it really grows into more than that. The cast is fun and vibrant and relatively memorable.
- Interest world and world building.
Definitely worth the watch and I’ll be hoping for more things of this quality.

I cannot review this other than describing my experience with this: I enjoyed it. It wasn’t great. Sure the setting might not be the most original, yet it left a nice aftertaste. It makes me want to see more. Hoping, that there is more to see.
It’s a beautiful messy pile, that just looks aesthetically pleasing from the right angle. Move a bit, and it is just a pile… But from that perfect point, it is still beautiful.

What do you do at the end of the world? Are you busy? Will you save us? How to properly describe this anime to you in 1000 words is a challenge. The Visuals of the story are at times stunning and accent the story giving depth to the overall tale. The music becomes haunting and adds such a poignant power to the visuals and acting. The story is not new yet it is fresh in the telling and the characters are almost natural. Do not expect a happy ending you will not get one. Do not expect to leave this series laughing and smiling. Expect to be haunted and wishing you could change the ending. Expect to watch it two times just to catch the subtle details you missed the first time and bring a tissue. You will never forget William and Chtholly as they will be etched into your memory along with two songs. It’s one of those which leaves you a depressed mess after you’ve finished watching it. I’m just replaying “Scarborough Fair” and “Always in my Heart” from the OST over and over again after watching the last episode.
