Ark is very moving story of survival and cooperation of two civilizations that have fought and enslaved each other for centuries and in the process destroying their home planet.

Its computer generated style is executed well and fits in with its very mechanized story even if it is just the people known as Storrians who use them. There were odd bits of dodgy graphics and the style doesn't seem to allow for very comfortable physical contact between characters, but overall, everything else runs smoothly.

As for the plot, well, it has its faults...as does everything but it is a very interesting story line. There is no good and evil even though the Storrians are set out to be the "bad guys" and it is referenced in the dialog that nothing is black and white. You, of course have the main antaginist, a guy who not only looks strange but can suck the life out of people and give it to himself using this little....farm thing of creatures hooked into his body? Really, that was the only thing that did not fit well into the story or that fact that he seemed to turn into The Mummy at the end.

The final battle was a disappointment too. The Mummy was winning, totally winning with not much hassle either but movies will be movies and a miracle happens... or an explosion, which ever works best.

The one thing that let the whole thing down, I think, was the characters. Some were a little weak but maybe that was because there was so much story involved there was no room for the characters, except the main girl of course, but even she felt a little 2D at times

Overall, I think it is a good watch, not in the top ten but defiantly high on my list. It was enjoyable and left you thinking about mankind and their ways of segration, of how people will always have those that will take advantage of those weaker then them but also of how those abused can be forgiving. This movie has a great lesson and I would recomend it to those who enjoy military style, mech based anime.
