Terraformars
TERRA FORMARS [テラフォーマーズ]Akari Hizamaru will do anything for his beloved childhood friend, including participating in an underground cage fight against a wild bear! As ridiculous as it sounds, Akari does not have any other choice. His friend is dying of a mysterious virus, and the fight is the only way he can get the money to pay for the procedure she so desperately needs. At first glance, it seems like Akari has no chance of beating the dangerous animal, but the brawl reveals that he might have some strange abilities of his own. Unfortunately, he discovers he has been betrayed and his dear friend may be beyond help. In the aftermath, he meets two people who are part of an organization intending to send a manned mission to Mars. Prior expeditions to Mars ended in disaster when the explorers encountered hostile, mutant cockroaches. Now, they plan another mission with the sole purpose of exterminating the giant monsters because they may be connected to the mysterious virus that is plaguing mankind. Why are there giant cockroaches on Mars? And why does Akari have mysterious abilities that make him well-suited to fight these mutants?

I loved the anime, but I hated the censoring so I found the one that does not censure it, and it was bomb as fuck!!!!

Its like attack on titan, but with guns, and bugs...and the version i was watching had censored gore. Its an alright anime, hoping for a second season, heavily doubting we'll get one.

This anime is excellent. I loved the fighting scenes and gore. Make sure you watch it uncensored or else, you will not appreciate it.

I just finished episode 13 of Terra Formars and I'm pretty confused. I don't really get what happened in the end, or if there will be a second season. I didn't dislike it, but towards the end there it just got nonsensical and crazy and the action was everything and the plot was nothing.
My favourite character was Keiji Onizuka, and I really enjoyed the episode that was entirely dedicated to him titled 'The Boxer'. His story is bittersweet and very human in a sci-fi/horror show about giant humanoid roaches battling super-charged humans.
Overall this was an OK show, very reminiscent of Attack on Titan in the cut scenes, intro etc. Just as gory too actually. Only AoT had a fairly strong(ish) plot, where I felt Terra Formars did not.
I'll probably watch the next season, but I won't be gagging for it.
Oh, and the art was super ugly too.

Oh my god that was bad.
Everything is weird in this anime. The art is weird (some gore part on the first half are a bit good though but the censorship ruined it (but they released uncensored versions of the first tree episodes so let's say it's okay)), the charadesign is weird (MUSCLES, MUSCLES EVERYWHERE oh and look at those inexpressive, ugly and not really scary cockroach faces. Plus I'm really not into the insect delirium), the narration is weird (is it supposed to be serious, tragic ? Is it supposed to be absurd, funny ? The anime is never sure of it and so I am.).
Music is sometimes good, sometimes... weird. I have to admit though that the cockroach noise is kinda scary. The animation is okay on the first half of the anime (some parts are well animated) but the second part is way less good.
But tbh the real problem is the plot. It's wobbly, very nonsensical, It has no direction, almost no evolution, and finishes on a cliffhanger that would like to say "hehe you can read the last/next part on the manga if you buy it".
The manga is maybe good, I don't know, but that anime doesn't make me want to read it.
And the characters are bad too, even the one that are supposed to be interresting.
Not necessary in your watch list. A very few parts are quite good though but not good enough to justify the whole anime.

It just didn't really get good until the last episode! The first few episodes were fine to get character background etc. But then they wasted 7 or so episodes just elongating battles and adding to some of the characters stories (I didn't mind it too much in Adolf's case). Furthermore characters that were pretty cool and featured a lot were made forgettable with too little character introduction! However on the up side, the final episode actually had some good plot development, an entertaining action sequence, and has made me consider watching the next season of this anime. Fingers crossed it'll be a lot better!

The anime is decent, but the censoring in the 2 and 3rd episode nearly made me want to drop it. You have a basic story of people trying to hunt these giant steroid cockroaches for science stuff, and you guessed it, the tables turned around for the humans.

The censorship completely ruined this anime for me. I may pick it up again when the BD, which should be uncensored, comes out since it is actually interesting. But when the main action consists of a half black screen it just ruins the immersion.
