High School DxD New
ハイスクールD×D NEWThe misadventures of Issei Hyoudou, high school pervert and aspiring Harem King, continue on in High School DxD New. As the members of the Occult Research Club carry out their regular activities, it becomes increasingly obvious that there is something wrong with their Knight, the usually composed and alert Yuuto Kiba. Soon, Issei learns of Kiba's dark, bloody past and its connection to the mysterious Holy Swords. Once the subject of a cruel experiment, Kiba now seeks revenge on all those who wronged him. With the return of an old enemy, as well as the appearance of two new, Holy Sword-wielding beauties, it isn't long before Issei and his Devil comrades are plunged into a twisted plot once more. When an Ecchi title goes above and beyond what it set out to do, you end up with one the greatest second season to a harem title to date.

i love this serie because can stand on its own with the story plot without the the fan serive but like everyone this show is borderline henti with a hot ass red head to look forward to.

i've seen the first one but i'll just focus on the new one.
it's great. 10/10 -IGN, jk, its the kind of show that you look with disgust at but when you actually watch it, and follow it you find a quite well-written plot, a good one actually for this kind of genre. Highschool DXD (1 and 2) pretty much stars about titties, but imagine if that star was just a blanket covering Lords Of The Rings. That's Highschool DXD.
It's an adventurous mix of fanservice and well-made plot mashed up together to form an show that looks harsh on the outside but is tenderly hilarious on the inside.

Exhilarating, funny and cool anime! Season two of High School DxD is even more exciting and fast paced with elements of war breaking out and the merging of powers. Of course, not to forget the moments of ecchi and beautiful characters, this anime is a really good watch! I definitely recommend it!

The typical harem show with cancerous fan service leaking out of it. Now I'll be nice and review this without excessive amounts of profanity.
Story 3/10
A two episode story stretched into 12 useless shit episodes that you'd rather not see.
Animation 7/10
For a show that's all about the tits, they deliver tits. A lot of them, they also take the time add shine and lighting on them. Nothing goes wrong with a couple of panty shots with tits swinging back and fourth causing a flashback of the show "Flubber".
Sound 6/10
I guess you could take the excessive moans and screams as cute or annoying as all fuck but other than that, it's good.
Character 2/10
Main character is a complete fuckwit, the other characters are boring as fuck, sure they may look good but for actual character points? 2/10 try again.
Enjoyment 6/10
I like tits, I like fanservice, I hate shit stories, I hate shit romance. See how this balances out.
Overall 4.8/10
The show isn't good, isn't not bad. The show is made for horny teenagers and the amount of horny teenagers that use HB is really high so I expect the rating for this show to be high as all fuck.

story 10/10 : Highschool DxD follows the life of Issei Hyoudou, a once human child living his life normally, until he is killed by a fallen angel and than reincarnated as a devil that serves under the very high up Gremory family. Highschool DxD new is going to be adding new characters to the mix, and giving other characters a more pronounced and outstanding role, Like xenovia (who is going to be a new character), koneko who you will come to like a whole lot more (if you didn't already... lolicon) and Kiba (our favorite sword swinging prince charming). with the introduction of the holy sword Excalibur we begin to get more drawn into the other world of angels, devils, and fallen angels. whether you are watching this anime for the fan service, or can get past it, the story is captivating and amazing.
Animation 9/10: Lets face it... High School DXD animation was pretty slick and awesome but this one has more brighter color with same feeling from first season. There have not been any character upgrade but background does seem updated which brings in the bright feeling.
Sound 9/10: The OP and ending were both very well done and the instrumentals and solos in the anime were also well created and used in the right moments. This is what makes a true masterpiece.
Character 9/10: One of the biggest reason i watch High School DXD is not only the fan-service but the characters itself. It has a unique story-line with each episode being unique on its own but all characters have different personalities and this is what makes them unique from average anime. 3 new "harem" characters were introduced in this season and they were well presented and shown and they all have unique characteristics that makes them fluid and not just a linear in the on-going story-line
Enjoyment 10/10: I greatly enjoyed the anime for what it was set out to do and also create an anime that fits the genres of Action, Comedy, Ecchi, Romance, and harem. The genres for the anime are really the main points that anyone chooses to initially watch the anime, or any anime for that matter. It lives up to all of the genres its included in and also creates and enjoyable experience while doing so. The Ecchi genre is one of the main genres for the season and if you don't like ecchi for tip toes on the borderline of full nudity, then you wont like this. However with that said, if you like or are looking for and ecchi anime of that caliber then this anime is worth the watch.

High School DxD... I don't understand what you're trying to achieve when you put yourself onto the scene. You try to be serious, but you also throw fan service every possible second. I was very excited for this season too because I found the story pretty interesting, but like most of the anime I have seen from the last season, I was pretty disappointed.
Story: 5
The story, promptly, picks back up after the first season. Issei is still a mega-pervert, and still ignorant to how much Rias wants him. The whole plot line is pretty comparable to a training arc from a Shounen anime, and doesn't really provide any sort of insight until the last couple of episodes. Since of that, the pacing fell flat on its face, and really didn't help with the weakness of this anime. Though, when they actually do part of the main story, it can really interesting at parts, and is worth a look for those moments.
Animation: 7
When it comes to something that this show does well, High School DxD isn't too proud on this, but is definitely one of the higher points of this anime. The colors and how they are presented are nothing too new, but they are very polished. Except, this isn't anything new, and people who are used to anime while find this is normal within anime.
Sound: 6
I wasn't really a big fan of the sounds that came out this anime. The classical pieces that they try to interweave in this anime weren't homerun hitters. They were your standard band and orchestral stuff. After a little while, I didn't really notice the background music in this anime, but paid more attention to the characters. There is one thing I did like when it came to the sound, and that is the second ending of this anime. I found it fun, and brought a lighter tone to the "serious" aspects of this anime. That ending wasn't enough to give this sound a higher score though.
Characters: 5
These characters... If I put Highschool DxD and this season together, this would get at least an eight because they developed over the two seasons a lot, but singularly they don't. This season didn't really focus on the developmental part. It does introduce some new characters like the student council's sister, the other dragon, and even the king of hell, the only problem that I had with that is they didn't develop the main cast anymore than they already have. It was very disappointing when it came to that aspect, but that's ok.
Overall: 5
I can see why people like this anime, and I can see why people hate this anime. I'm right now on the fence because this season of DxD was pretty bad. There was barely any development, except for maybe Issei's love for breasts or debauchery. Yet, the anime seems to want to spread out, and show itself for in a brighter light with its really interesting story line at times, but always counters that with some sort of fan service which removes any sort of serious-ness. With those problems this anime is disappointing, but will still have a fan-base for another season. I'm still disappointed with this season of Highschool DxD, but I am still interested in what happens in the main story line.

Let's get a few things out of the way here. This season should not be considered high art. It should not be considered among the likes of 5 Centimeters Per Second or Howl's Moving Castle. It is ecchi. It is harem. It is school. It is overly drawn female characters with excessive fanservice. The clearest way to say this is to simply point out the mid-episode commercial break cut sequence. It's softcore half-nude pinups of the female characters. If you can't get past that, you won't be able to enjoy the show.
Though it may not appear any more sophisticated than your run-of-the mill school harem ecchi, this whole series actually has a lot more to offer. I wouldn't go so far as to say that the creators lure you in with boobs and then teach you the Ultimate Truth, but i's something along those lines. You come for the ecchi, which is (as expected) often cringe-inducing. But that's part of the appeal.
Then the show just hits you in the face. It doesn't make any excuse for why the protagonist can only think about boobs. There is no attempt to hide it; in fact, it's often used as a critical plot device, the fate of the world figuratively resting on the erect penis of Hyoudou Issei. It doesn't make any excuse for why the female protagonists are all graciously endowed, some to the point of absurdity. There is no bullshit, just cut scenes in the thoughts of Hyoudou Issei, who (like all ecchi protagonists) has yet to get laid, despite (as you would expect) all of the female leads literally throwing themselves at him.
[Spoilers Below]
So, life is good. You're Hyoudou Issei, a horny Highschool guy with good-for-nothing horny friends, unpopular with the ladies, a comically typical role. Then shit gets weird. A girl approaches you, dates you, then tries to kill you. You are resurrected as the servant of the daughter of the former Demon Lord. You discover that your body is shared by the soul of a powerful dragon. The Demon Lord wants you to marry his sister. You save your city from total annihilation more than once. You train hard, fight evil (which, ironically, takes the form of God's disciples), and vanquish your foes. You go to the pool, yet somehow that episode is on the tame side of the show's risque average. Your signature move is the ability to instantly render women naked. It also works on vegetables. You're still a horny teenager.
Highschool DxD New steps right in where Highschool DxD left off. It picks up the plot without so much as a blink. Which is really nice, since I was dying to see how Issei's plot to become the Harem King would manage to coincide with saving the world. The show has some interesting points, and the craft is actually pretty good. The writers have refined things a bit, which is nice. Don't take that the wrong way, though, the show manages to feature even more topless scenes, even more panty shots, without them feeling at all forced. Actually, that's one of this show's greatest strengths, that the writers have done such a job with the genre.
Anyways, the point is that this show is not high art, but it's excellent entertainment, and actually fairly well crafted. I didn't even cringe at the dialogue once in this season. I mean, I didn't cringe at the quality of the writing, though I did cringe at a few of Hyoudou Issei's lines.

The second season of Highschool DxD, boy was I ever waiting for this. All the boobs and ass have returned!
The second season of highschool DxD is far better then the first let start out by saying that. This season there was a little something called plot. For once it had a good story. Issei Hyoudo is slightly, and I mean slightly less perverted and more serious this season. He starts to realise what he's fighting for and starts fighting to protect it... it being boobs. There's not much to say since it has a season before where you'll find most of the information :P
Anyway, this season was a lot better then the previous one, they introduced some new characters into the harem. Characters get more development. And as always, there is a tone of ass and tits.

Highschool DxD is a weird anime, one that has great potential and could have been soooo much more than what it already is, If it just wasn't so Ecchi with a capital E, but you can't change what that has already been done in the lightnovel. It's one of those series you sit home alone watching and you are thinking: "what the hell am I doing?" and you almost feel embarrassed over what you are watching. looking away from it's weird Ecchi/Harem thingy and it's HUUUUGE amount of fanservice.
The story is pretty cool, there is great animation and the battles are just awesome. when you say to yourself battles between heaven and hell including fallen angels and dragons and vampires, the first thing that comes to your mind is not fanservice fest. but if anime continues to go the direction it's heading now maybe that is what we will think of. I had to crank down the character a bit a lot of them are horrible and act weird in expected way all the time. there are few exceptions like the 5 devil kings and Freed Sellzen who is my personal favourite. the sound did not stick out that much it was roughly above decent with nothing spectacular. I enjoyed most of the series it could have become something really big if it were not for its embarrassing fanservice scenes... It's hella funny though...
NB this is a very Ecchi series sometimes almost turning into softcore PR0N
