Dance with Devils
ダンス・ウィズ・デビルスRitsuka Tachibana has always been a good student, so she is completely shocked when she is suddenly summoned by the student council. Even more, they seem to think of Ritsuka as a troublemaker. Led by the handsome Rem Kaginuki, the student council—also consisting of Urie Sogami, Shiki Natsumizaka and Mage Nanashiro—tries to question her, but it soon becomes clear that they have ulterior motives. However, this is only the beginning. When her mother gets kidnapped, her life is turned upside down, and Ritsuka gets drawn into a world of vampires and devils. Both groups are searching for the "Grimoire," a forbidden item allowing its owner to rule the world. The return of her brother Lindo from overseas gives her hope, but even he appears to be hiding something. In a world filled with secrets, Ritsuka questions whom she can trust in this dark musical tale, while the handsome and dangerous members of the student council compete for her attention. I really liked this anime. At first I hated all of the characters except for Ritsuka but as I got deeper into the anime I started warming up to all of them. The music is really good and the over all plot, in my opinion, helps keep the watcher watching until the very end.

I like all the characters...except Ritsuka. Her "rebelliousness" is more stupidity than bravery. And why is she the most plain-looking character??!

This show isn't good in terms of quality, but it can definitely be really enjoyable. I would say this fell into the "so bad it's good" category for me.
They just throw in all the tropes and cliches of your typical reverse harem, along with some handsome devil/vampire/exorcist stuff because why not; the characters are pretty much your standard archetypes and their relationships aren't super well developed either. I found myself questioning all the time "when and why, exactly, did these guys fall for the main character?".
But if you can accept what you're given and just roll with it, I think you'd be surprised at how enjoyable you'll find the show. Or you could watch it ironically and make fun of it along the way; you'd probably have a lot of fun that way too (honestly, the insert songs in each episode cracked me up).
It's definitely not a show to be taken seriously. I think if you got a few of your friends together and just enjoy how hilariously cliche it is, it could be a lot of fun.

Alright, the animation and the soundtrack of this anime is brilliant and the plot in my opinion does have potential but it's completely ruined with these horrible characters! Ritsuka (Protagonist) is that annoying naive girl who will do anything to get herself in danger. She blindly follows the devils and causes the most uncomfortable situations which gets frustrating and tiring after a while. I suppose if you watch a lot of romance/shoujo anime you will find that the characters lack originality especially the protagonist who asks the same question that those 50 other anime protagonist have asked "What's this feeling?", "Is this real?", "How could he be evil?" as well as the constant falling into the hot guys' arms and tearfully saying "I'm so glad". Typical.
What's unique about this anime however is that it's a musical anime. In the middle of an episode you will randomly encounter a song and flashy effects and dance moves. The songs aren't bad, however when there is something "intense" going on and then the demon breaks out into a song which is almost like a lullaby it really puts you down after a while.
Overall, this isn't something new or unseen. You'd see similar things in Amnesia - Another naive girl who finds herself in a lot of trouble and around a lot of guys which she heavily depends on to save her from everything. As well as Vampire Knight as the devils' attitudes and personalities in Dance with Devils are very similar to the vampires in Vampire Knight.
This anime is overrated, mainly because of the musical aspect of it. Other than that it has nothing to offer than the usual frustration and the extremely predictable occurrences.

I like how they had a plot twist.
Also the opening and ending fit anime just right, and the animation, characters are well plan out.

This anime is the absolute worst. It puts together every stupid trope in the book into a musical of devils and vampires with one girl caught in the middle. I loved it. It's one of those hows that's "so bad that it's good". I would only suggest it if you enjoy stopping it every five minutes to ask yourself, "did they really do that?" Yes they did. They have no shame. The musics decent, and honestly without it the show would be unwatchable.
