I Can't Understand What My Husband Is Saying
旦那が何を言っているかわからない件Though they couldn't be any more different, love has managed to blossom between Hajime Tsunashi, a hardcore otaku who shuts himself in at home while making a living off his blog, and his wife Kaoru—a hard-working office lady who, in contrast, is fairly ordinary, albeit somewhat of a crazy drunk. As this unlikely couple discovers, love is much more than just a first kiss or a wedding; the years that come afterward in the journey of marriage brings with it many joys as well as challenges. Whether due to their quirky personalities or the peculiar people surrounding them, Hajime and Kaoru find themselves caught up in a variety of baffling and ridiculous antics. But despite the struggles they face, the love that ties them together spurs them to move forward and strive to become better people in order to bring their partner happiness. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Adorable, fantastic, and short. An anime where you get to laugh at the clashing personalities of a woman who has no idea what she was signing up for when marrying an Otaku. Don't worry, this isn't a romance anime, mostly it's just a lot of funny or cute scenes and satire towards men who enjoy anime. Caution: There is a BL loving little brother that looks like a girl - we all know what that leads to.
PS: episodes are about 3 minutes long. Worth the 36 minutes it'll take to watch this anime.

Story
The story is a common one(At least from a couple of other manga where the main male is an otaku of some sort and the female lead isn't. They still love each other somehow.), otaku and non-otaku daily married life. Despite the story being simple and the episode length being very short you really get the important things without being rushed.
Animation
Nothing groundbreaking but still visually pleasing.
Sound
Standard slice of life happy and wacky background music.
Character
The constraints that episode length puts on character development does not detract from giving you exactly what you need from each character. The main focus is on Hajime x Kaoru and you get to understand them and their relationship through each short episode.
Enjoyment
One can really enjoy this anime. You can enjoy much more if you get the subtle references that Kaoru makes to other anime. The episodes are short and anyone can get through the whole series fairly quickly. There are a good number of screencap scenes which should let you know that the scenes are memorable.
Overall
Even though the story is a common story the anime tells it in a way that does not bore you. The characters are like-able and you can really feel that their is a spark that Kaoru x Hajime have for each other. They don't speak the same language sometimes but their hearts are connected. Do enjoy this short episode and short series as soon as you can!

Short Review
This anime was fun. That's it. You shouldn't go into this anime with any expectations. This anime is literally 13 different shorts of slice of life from a newly wed perspective. It's fun. It's fast. It's worth the 3/4 minutes you might spend your life on it.
I Can't Understand What My Husband Is Saying: 8/10. I wouldn't buy this because they're just shorts. But they are definitely worth the watch.

I've made it a habit this year to watch at least one TV short series each season, and I definitely plan on keeping this pattern going because you never know what exactly you're going to get out of a short series other than time well spent. From the creative nonsense of Tonari no Seki-kun to the bone-chilling terror of Yamishibai: Japanese Ghost Stories, there is a surprising amount of variety to be found in the TV shorts category of your anime listings. So, how did my TV short pick for this season turn out?
Our story is fairly simple: a woman named Kaoru fell in love with and married an otaku named Hajime, and the series focuses on some of the quirkier moments of their life together, sort of like a better written Insufficient Direction. Within these four-minute episodes are two general types of comedy: otaku-themed humor and general married life humor, both of which are executed surprisingly well. I extracted quite a bit of enjoyment out of an extremely unsubtle Evangelion reference, but also found the home life confusions of a newlywed couple to be both charming and sometimes even a bit heartwarming. Both Kaoru and Hajime are solid characters as far as TV shorts go, and the only real annoyance I found was with one of Hajime's siblings, whose introduction was...stereotypical in anime style for this character's personality.
The animation was produced by Studio Seven (Inugami-san to Nekoyama-san), and is played off as very cutesy and basic without ever seeming like the budget was being stretched. I also noticed that there seemed to be a bit of a glow to each frame that made it feel almost welcoming like the doorway to a new home. The soundtrack was composed by G-angle and...it was there I guess. Nothing spectacular, but it filled in the silence well. There was no opening theme, but the ending theme "Iikagen ni shite, Anata," as sung by the two lead VAs, was excessively cute and catchy.
Overall, this is definitely one of the better short series I've seen this year, and I can't wait for the second season to come out next spring.

For a 3 min anime show the funny and crazy life of a awkward married couple
darrell.brown - 2014-11-23 08:23:16
So at first, this show seems pretty straightforward. Average girl marries guy who is massive otaku, shenanigans ensue. Throw in college-age loli-trap and a shady-looking guy who goes by the name "Destiny F*cker" (seriously) and you'd have a show that you'd expect to be more like Mangaka-san to Ashisutano-san to than something more laid-back like, say, Usagi Drop.
You see where I'm going with this, right?
I have the immense pleasure of saying that I Can't Understand What My Husband Is Saying is probably one of the most realistic portrayals of marriage in an anime that I can remember. Sure, the two of them argue and Hajime's (the husbando) job prospects are a bit thin, but for some reason the existence of which is acknowledged by both of them but neither of which can quite place, they love each other and want to be together. When Kaoru (the waifu) falls ill, Hajime shows genuine distress and begs for forgiveness from his father-in-law. And Kaoru, despite finding Hajime's occupation and interests a bit on the weird side of the social spectrum, still sees and adores all the good facets of Hajime's personality. Rarely do shows ever delve into the little twists and intricacies of marriage as a relationship between two people, and this show manages to pull it off within the span of 4 minutes or less.
In the end, Danna ga Nani wo Itteiru ka Wakaranai Ken is a short that punches way above its weight class for its type of show. If you want to jump straight into the thick of it, Episode 5 is where the feels train begins, but the first episodes aren't too bad, either, if you don't mind a bit of less-than-mature humour.

get frustrated when your break is over and you cant complete a single episode by then......and then you die from the suspense??? XD this is meant just for that !!! the characters are fun the story is truly random and i love it XD so in other words this is what you'd call a "break-time" anime ^_^ so just go and enjoy this beautiful anime multiple times XD
