For a high school romantic comedy. Masamune has the right ingredients to be a favourable show. I mean you have a good looking high school main female lead and male lead.

However upon closer inspection. The anime is deeply flawed. With uninteresting characters, who are just bland, card board cut outs. With a ridiculous plot that seems more far fetched than anything.

The only real thing going for it is; the visuals. It only appeals to those that like style but no substance.

The whole goal was to get adagaki to fall in love with masamune, and then break up with her as “Revenge” but that never even happened.

The story is about a teenage boy (Masamune). He wanted revenge on a girl that broke his heart when he was younger. There is a lot of comedy scenes and romance (?) scenes. Even though the idea of these kind of anime is often seen, this anime in particular executed it really well and it leaves you wanting for more.

The art for this show is not perfect, but really good. The animation is good and the movements are natural. I especially like the way the hair is drawn/animated. It looks so fluffy! The colours are really nice, it isn’t too bright, yet not dull.

I personally really like the opening and the ending song. The background music is also really nice as it compliments the scene and is not ‘bulky’ or ‘disturbing’.

The character designs are really nice, though I think Masamune’s design is somewhat forgettable. I really like Adagaki Aki’s design. She looks innocent but absolutely despises men and gives them mean nicknames when they confess to her.

I really like this show (and it’s manga). This show is a stress reliever because of the cliché (ish) comedy that it uses. Absolutely love how the show is turning out!

Really. I just like this show so much! But I just can’t seem to give it a 10… There are still flaws as a show. Honestly, I rarely ever give a show a perfect 10 as nothing is perfect.

It would be so typical if Makabe didn’t go all the way with his plan and instead just falls in love with Adagaki for real at the end.
If that happens then I just might have to punch someone in the face!
Maybe myself for thinking this show wouldn’t go for the most boring and predictable ending ever…

Manga isn't completely translated yet but from what I read I was very entertained and I'm very excited about the anime.
