What is there to say about this series other than how incredible I found it to be. When watching season 1, I viewed 3 episodes and dropped it due to my lack of overall enjoyment of the series. This changed after I saw a handful of YouTube videos from the end of season 1 and the beginning of season 2. I ended up picking up where I left off in season 1 and finished it in about a week. Last night, I got the urge to watch season 2, so I watched episodes 1 and 2. It's safe to say that I was hooked from that point on. I ended up turning a few episodes into a marathon of 7. This morning, I watched episodes 8-10 before going to work, and finally, I finished it just a little while ago.
While this series may not be as enjoyable to others, I can say that I loved it! I normally don't marathon a series unless I am hooked on a storyline or I am just in love with the whole thing, much like I was with this series. I was able to feel the amount of emotion the characters were putting into their music and, while it didn't draw tears, it got me pretty close to balling on a handful of occasions throughout the season.
I can say that, if you love music, and you love anime, then this series may be great for you. I fell in love with many of the characters, 99% of them being female, I was blown away by the music, and the story was well-rounded overall. I ended up giving season 1 a 9/10 for it's enjoyment, but season 2 gets 10's across the board!!!
