ＪＫめし！Three high school girls have mastered the art of cooking simple, B-class dishes called JK meshi. The three girls — Reina, Ryouka, and Ruriko — are all classmates in their second year of high school. They often get distracted when studying for tests, and when they do, they cook JK meshi. So, this is a show that’s super charming, and actually gave me all sorts of ideas for snacks to try to make, but is ultimately let down by the quality of its’ animation. It’s just… very shadow-boxy and not in a stylized way, but in a very cheap way. It’s a shame, because I’d have rated it a lot higher if the animation wasn’t so terrible.
