Cerberus

聖戦ケルベロス 竜刻のファタリテ

Sword and magic rule in the continent of Kuna'ahn. In this continent are three powerful nations: the Holy Kingdom of Amoria, the Kingdom of Ishilfen, and the Kingdom of Vanrodis, which share a delicate balance of power. Should disaster befall any one of the three nations, war would spread throughout the continent. Also residing there is the feared "Evil Dragon" Daganzord, an unstoppable force that leaves nothing but scorched land and destruction wherever he goes. Hiiro's parents, Bairo and Kismitete, joined other sorcerers in a magic ritual ten years ago in an attempt to seal Daganzord, but failed when someone interfered. The ritual would later become known as the "Balbagoa Tragedy." After being rescued by Giruu, young Hiiro set out to learn swordsmanship so that he could avenge his parents. Now, ten years later, sixteen-year-old Hiiro leaves home on a journey to slay the Evil Dragon, and Giruu feels he has no choice but to accompany him. In the search for the Evil Dragon, Hiiro encounters people of various races who join in his quest to eliminate Daganzord... but will Hiiro really succeed in overcoming the destiny he took upon himself and defeating Daganzord?! I don't really have much to say on the matter of the animation style or sounds. They both seemed pretty nice, standard really.
The story is pretty off key and somewhat all over the place.  It starts by giving us some story about how a ton of people tried sealing a dragon that could permanently kill people (destroying both their body and soul because apparently revival magic exists in this world).  During this ritual the head of the group is shot in the back and the ritual fails resulting in the death of everyone except for the child of the head of this group.  In enters our main character, a foolish and overconfident "swordsman", who is the aforementioned child (now older).
The main character then runs into a man who possesses an artifact that was his father's and he intends to get it back, but after a failed attempt for it he is almost killed before the mighty dragon (whom had been MIA for all these years) shows up and saves him.
This leads to main character needing to train more, though he is an awful swordsman.
While training a massive dragon appears and drops off a lovely lady who is fascinated in the main character leading to typical teasing by other party members and the main character acting somewhat tsundere-ish.
The man who possessed the artifact is now interested in main character so that he might discover why the dragon protected him and sends his most loyal lackey to capture him.
And from here we get plenty of comical turnabouts and some interesting plot twists, but overall it's a pretty typical and almost predictable story.  That said, if you get as into the series as I did, even with it being so run-of-the-mill-ish you can find yourself completely unnoticing of it's predictablility.
