I did not like this series only because I couldn't stand the main character. Desert punk started off alright, I was interested up until Desert Punk just kept on becoming so unlikable that it was just annoying to me. Now the setting and the other character are semi-interesting. I will say the comedy does shine at points but not enough to save this anime in my eyes. The sound was pretty alright not anything special IMO but it set the mood of the show. The animation is nice it's just said that it was for this show. And the story was meh at best... OH THE GREATEST BOUNTY HUNTER EVER NOW SUDDENLY SUCKS! I didn't understand. If you were good at what you do how do you suddenly stop being good without some kind of trauma or catalyst. And there wasn't really one. First episode he screws up a job... "oh nooooo" he said sarcastically. I can see how he thrown of his game but he doesn't act like he is thrown off. Maybe I'm asking for character development from a show that is pretty much just a national lampoon apocalypse. But Desert Punk isn't even likable. He's just a "Punk" as it were. I generally don't like shows like this. Heaven's Lost Property is another example of a main character being nothing but a pervy two dimensional scum bag. Now in a show like Highschool DxD where the character is a perv and his primary motivation is just "BOOBS!" he still a well rounded character who cares about something more then just sex. Like his friends and doing whats right. This show doesn't have that. IMO it's annoying and there are better shows out there in this genre.

This fun little gem will make you think twice about your typical selfless protagonist.
