This is an anime that creates a whole world and draws you into it.

I cannot fully express how this anime affects you as a viewer. There are over 600 episodes and it keeps you interested the whole time. At least, for me it did. I laughed, I cried, I was enraged, surprised, excited, disappointed, happy, sad and most everything else.

One Piece is an anime that I always come back to and re-watch certain parts of. It is eternal and it has no sign of ending.

One piece is an anime for someone who has a lot of free time because you'll need a whole month just to finish the whole Ep.

So far one piece is one of the most greatest anime there is you can't find anything like one piece. It contain almost every genre there is to be mentioned almost all action, thrill, suspense, horror, drama, ecchi, and more. One Piece is a master piece which will not end for as long as there are people who are enjoying this anime or atleast when they find the Treasure:One Piece.

I want to avoid the word epic, but this is really an EPIC shounen. This is the one of the best if not the best Anime of all time. It had a share of awesome epic, funny and a few touching drama moments.

This is about a crazy, funny boy who had an ambitious dream to become the Pirate King. As the story goes on, he met unique individuals with their own specialities and abilities and became his Nakama (companions and comrades). They had their own personal goals in joining the crew but are helping and believing each other in order for these to be achived.

This anime provides moral lessons especially the value of trust and friendship. There were some obstacles that they had to face as a crew and they had to overcome it.

One Piece is currently one of the most popular anime out there and definitely the most popular anime in Japan. Being the most popular doesn't mean it's the best, but it's definitely an amazing show and I can see how One Piece has become so popular.

One Piece is a shonen anime and the best thing about shonen is that it covers a wide range of audiences. From kids to adult and male to female, everyone can watch shonen and everyone can watch One Piece. The weakest thing about shonen is how the story could not make big changes; this appeared in a lot of shonen anime such as Dragon Ball Z. In Dragon Ball, the characters almost never disappear from the show because even though they're dead they can be revived again and making the plot much more predicable. One Piece also suffered the same fate, through out the whole show, there are only a handful of major characters that are dead and this really made the plot very predicable. By predicable, I mean you can easily predict which characters are gonna die and which aren't. The good thing is, that's the worst part. If it's about the event and the overall plot, then I can assure you it's really unpredictable.

The background story here is about our protagonist, Monkey D. Luffy on an adventure to become the best pirate in the world AKA the pirate king. To become the pirate king, Luffy needs to find the legendary treasure, One Piece. Of course, Luffy can't do that by himself, so on his adventure he gathers crewmates and form his own pirate crew.

The best thing about the plot is even though the show is very long and still hasn't ended yet, the plot doesn't feel forced, everything seems to be the way it is and being 500+ episode is quite reasonable. Not a lot of show can do this, I've watched and read a lot of shonen and none of them can be like One Piece. The story itself is also amazing, it carries a wide range of genre from zombie to island in the sky. The comedy of this show is just brilliant, I found myself literally rolling on the floor laughing. When the show is not being serious, the comedies just back it up so you won't get bored. One Piece also has a lot of emotional moments, I really cried 5-6 times through out the whole show even though it can be cheap tricks but it sure worked on me. One Piece also take a lot of references in the real world just as Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas, the legendary pirate Black Beard, the red nose reindeer and a lot more.

Another bad thing about One Piece anime is the filler. Fillers just ruined the anime; some even destroyed it like Bleach. The fillers just messed up the story and create plot holes for the original plot, but some of One Piece's fillers is much better than most of the fillers in shonen anime. There are even time when if you don't point out it's a filler; I won't be able to tell.

The animation is really inconsistent, that should be acceptable considering it was made back in 1999 and it's still running till this day. The actions scenes are the only things that are consistent, whether it was made in 1999 or 2013 it still looks great. There's this one time they tried to make 3D animation and it end up being horrible, it's similar to the dragon in Fate/Stay Night.

How the animation changes overtime

One Piece has a large amount of soundtracks and still suffers the problem of overused. It is so repetitive, until the point I can predict which background sound are going to be used next. Even though some of the soundtracks are overused of repetitive, it’s still amazing. Some of these soundtracks are the very reason why I cried at some part.

The voice acting is also great, each main characters has their own unique voice. Even with my eyes closed and I can still able to recognize them through their voices. A special mention to Tanaka Mayumi, the voice of Luffy, she was able to consistently voice Luffy through out the year.

The opening themes are all great because I felt like all of it was made just for One Piece or some specific arc. Out of the big 3, I think One Piece’s opening themes match the show the best. Out of 16 openings, there is one that will be remembered forever by whoever that have watched One Piece. It’s “We Are”, the very first opening. This opening match the show so well, it’s probably one the mist compatible opening out there. After around 200-300 episodes, they stop using ending themes but instead they lengthen the opening theme from the normal 1.30 minutes to 2.30 minutes.

One Piece has a very large cast of characters. Most of them are quickly forgotten after the arc has ended and the main characters will stumble upon new interactions in every arc. I can only mention Luffy because I don’t want to spoil the other crewmembers. Luffy is a really enjoyable characters and he definitely has a larger fan base in the series. I felt like he is too similar with Dragon Ball’s Goku, being overpowered, idiotic, innocent, and gluttony. That isn’t a bad thing because I really like Goku so why can’t I like Luffy too?

I really despise the villains in this show, they are some of the most annoying bastards out there and I found myself wanting to punch my screen all the time. That shows how great the author has made his villains. The purpose of villains is to become the bad guys and we should support the protagonist rather than liking the bad guys instead, and that’s why it felt so good when Luffy is beating the living crap out of them.

• 2. Background stories of the main characters are some of the best moment in the show
• 3. Likeable protagonist
• 4. Diverse personality
• 5. Most are original and unique
• 6. Serve the purpose of great villains

• 1. Some of the side characters are forgotten but this is not necessarily a bad thing because they will eventually be brought back up again

I enjoyed the hell out of One Piece. Normally I got tired after watching 1-3 episode of anime but I only get tired when I watched 10-15 episodes of One Piece. One Piece is a non-stop train packed of actions and emotional moments. If it isn’t for the fillers and predicable character’s fate, I would enjoy this show even more.

One Piece is probably the most popular anime out there but that doesn’t mean it’s the best. There are a lot flaws but nonetheless it’s still an amazing anime, one of the best out there. For those who haven’t watched One Piece, watch it now! So what if it is 500 episodes long, and still a long way from ending, you are missing out a whole lot.

Hello I'm Emerson763 and this is my first review hope it'll convince you to watch this great series or if you're already watching I'll hope you'll just enjoy this review.

The story is about a boy that accidentally ate a devil fruit that gave him the power to be a rubber man at the cost of losing his ability to swim. His goal is to become the pirate king and find the legendary treasure called one piece. On his journey he meets new friends, bizarre monsters and other villains.

Although the plot isn't anything really special, the way it's played out makes for an emotional roller coaster with a lot of sad moments but also really funny moments. Just the raw emotion of wanting to save a friend and not wanting to be alone is portrayed so well, even if that friend is someone you just met he/she is still your friend and they are important to you. The story really makes you think about what it means to be a true friend. There are certain things you can and cannot do and that doesn't make you any less of a person. You're friends are there to make up for that. Just to quote someone (don't remember who sorry) ''Everyone should do what they can with their lives on the line, and then say to the next guy. ''I did what I could. Now it's your turn''. ''If you don't finish it, I'll come kick your ass!'' The only downside I have with the story of one piece is that right now it's only half way done and it's really long so it's hard to get other people into it but for me I just can't get enough of it (I may be contradicting myself here).

The Animation differs a lot, the war arc was really beautifully animated and if you compare it with the last arc it's a real downgrade.

The other problem people have with this show is the character design it's kinda childish and goofy but after a while you get used to it and you'll actually find that it fits quite well with the story especially the goofy parts. The fights scenes aren't anything really special except when Zoro comes in :3

If you just listen to best of one piece OST it's already 7 hours long so you'll probably like at the very least one song. Most of the opening songs I really like and fit really well with the arc they are on, but some of them I don't really care for. The song that played during fight scenes are really good especially the one where you know that shit's going to go down. Overall this has a really large soundtrack and it fits really well with the anime, although some of them I don't really like or find very fitting but with such a large variation of songs that's obvious.

The interaction between the characters and chemistry between them are what makes this show so amazing. Each character is really unique and has their own backstory. That is most of the times pretty hard felt while others could've been worked out better. At first I didn't want to say too much about it since it would spoil who would become their next crew mates but you can already see that in the poster...

First of we have Monkey D. Luffy. His dream is to become the pirate king because to him that's the person with the most freedom in the world. At first luffy doesn't come across as a guy who would be captain material since he's really goofy, but he knows when he needs to be serious and cares for his crew deeply enough to go against the whole world if he has to. ''You think risking your own life is enough? Try risking our lives along with yours! WE'RE YOUR FRIENDS!''

Next up we have Roronoa Zoro he's a bad ass swordsman who uses his 3 swords style to do bad ass things and can apparently talk with a sword in his mouth... Just him being on the screen makes every moment even more enjoyable. Although Zoro is the only person who can get lost on a straight road he is also the most responsible one when it comes to the crew (I'll leave it at that other wise I'll spoil things) ''When the world shoves you around, you've just gotta stand up and shove back. It isn't like you can do anything just by giving excuses. If I die, then I am just a man who can only make it this far.''

Nami is the navigator of the crew. Her dream is to draw a map of the whole world. She's pretty much money obsessed and it was the part where her backstory began that the anime truly started for me since it was so emotial. Further more she is the third smartest character in East Blue.

Ussop the sharpshooter with an army of 1 million soldiers (one of his jokes). Although his accuracy is something incredible he is a liar and coward but knows when to pull through when it counts ''There is a time when a man will not run from a fight.That time is when his nakama ,when his nakama dreams are laughed at''

Sanji the other bad ass is the cook of the crew. His dream is to find all blue a sea with all the fish of the whole world. What makes Sanji special is that he has sworn to never let a woman be insulted or injured while he can still stand, regardless of how attractive (or unattractive) they are, even in life-or-death situations. ''Men who can't wipe away the tears from women's eyes aren't real men.''

Tony Tony Chopper is the cute doctor of the crew and his dream is to become a doctor that can cure any disease. He's the lovable childish pet of the crew who just loves to be complimented (that doesn't make me happy baka)

Nico Robin is the archeologist of the crew and also the smartest person of the crew. Robin will usually be the first to speculate that a crewmate has met or will meet with a horrible fate, often going into grisly detail. In other instances she will express enthusiasm for anything with a horror theme.

Franky the perverted robot/cyborg who is the shipwright of the crew. He just loves to be called a pervert and follows a man's romance. His dream is to build a ship that will travel around the world.

Brook the musician of the crew who is also a total pervert who always ask to see a girl's panties. And although being the eldest character he's also one of the most childish ones. He also has the running joke of I don't have that body part (That reeks of shame!! Not that I smell it without a nose~!!'')

I just love this series and the only thing that I find a bit lacking is that at the beginning of the arc there is a lot of exposition but after that it just leaves you wanting more. (I watched over 600 episodes if I didn't enjoy it, then I would be one crazy bastard with way too much free time.)

One piece is my second favourite series only surpassed by Berserk (manga). It's an epic adventure that just sucks you in and makes you feel like you're really part of their crew and the whole world they're riding in. The story Oda created is just an epic masterpiece that will go on for a long time. It's with this that my review comes to an end and I hope this convinced you to go watch one piece, or if you already watched one piece, you at least enjoyed my review. So for now we still have like 10 years of one piece left, so let's all just sit back and enjoy the rest of this epic adventure.

I have a lot to say about this series but I will try to keep it fairly short!

My first introduction to One Piece was quite a few years back before I really knew what Anime was. I remember watching it on Toonami UK back in middle school. It was the stupid 4Kids dub back then (Dont watch that one ever!)

Anyway, this review is for the original Japanese version!

The thing I like about Once Piece the most is that its a very laid back series and takes everything at its own pace, the creator isn't afraid to make things go slow to build up suspense.

The characters are well designed and each has a really deep back story! In fact, all of the main cast have a sad back story that drives each of them to reach their dreams.

The thing that separates One Pice from, lets say DragonBall is that none of the characters are naturally strong, they all have had their pasts push them forward.

The main character, Luffy is one of those examples! as a kid he ate a fruit known as a Devil Fruit. These fruits grant the user a power but in return strips them of their ability to swim and makes them immobilised when they are more than knee height in water. This gives every character who has eaten a devil fruit a glaring weakness!

In Luffy's case, he ate the Gomu-Gomu no Mi, A fruit that turned him into a Rubber Man, Meaning that he has some major weakness! Oda (the creator) has done an immense job at making Luffy overcome these weaknesses and has made him into one of the most achieving characters in the series!

Each arc normally has its own villain and even when you think an arc has no relevance (Many people refer to an arc called Skypia irrelevant) it actually does! one of the first arcs in the series was about a Fishman that took over a small island and Oda managed to reuse that Fishman idea and bring it back almost half the series later!

Its very rare to see a character introduced into the One Piece world that doesn't have any relevance later on in the story!

Anyway! It seems like im rambling on abit so I will wrap it up now!

One Piece is a great show that many people can enjoy! Each character is unique and are all likeable Everything in One Pice is carefully thought through (Wouldn't surprise me if Oda had a rough timeline of where he wanted things to head 10 years ago when One Piece debuted!) The anime can be lacking at sometimes but the awesome fight sequences make up for it! The music is great! The story is amazing and always makes you wonder whats happening next!

A great show and I recommend everyone at least watch the first 50 episodes or so before you say you dont like it!

Don't be opinionated until you try One Piece. I know there are some haters and some people who love One Piece out there. I've seen some people drop One Piece because they think it's lame and don't have the nerve to continue on. I personally enjoy One Piece and think a lot of people would enjoy the series. It's great that it has 603 episodes. Don't be lazy and watch all of them! You won't regret it.

Luffy is one of my favorite characters for the fact that he does some CRAZY A-- stuff. His crew kind goes are we seriously going to do that kind of attitude. You'll find that Luffy is also one of those characters that you mind classify as he's stupid for the stuff he thinks or does.

A character I'd like to see more of would be Shanks. Other character I really enjoyed was Fire Fist Ace. The series really picks up when Luffy goes to Impel Down then following that the Marine Ford Battle over Ace. I recommend One Piece for how long it goes if you love anime series that are long and also for the fact that it's funny and serious at the same time.

Never done a review so i thought i'd have a go... gonna keep it short.Ok the problem i have when trying to get people to watch one piece is that they always complain about how many ep's there are and to be fair i also said the same when i started.... And yh its annoying if you think about it. But the funny thing is now that im up to date with one piece i can only wish there was more episodes i could watch without having to wait a week for an ep.The story develops so well and bit by bit you will start to love the anime more. One key feature that has made one piece special to me is the fact that even after 555 episodes they have still managed to keep the humour, whereas in other long shows e.g. naruto the humour seems to have all gone and its all become too serious which isn't a bad thing, but I started them both thinking there will be a great story, great fights and fun at the same time. One piece has still got all that which is why i recommend it to all anime watchers.

Before I begin, let me address one thing: One Piece is, as everyone knows, very popular throughout Japan and overseas. However, contrasting the other two of the "big three" (Bleach and Naruto), One Piece actually deserves its position. It's serious, fun (Zoro's sword techniques all sound like food when pronounced, but read like very serious names), and well developed. I'll delve into that a bit more below:

Story (9) - One Piece's story is derived from an old pirate fable--that there is a massive treasure that all pirates are striving towards, whether they know it or not. Eiichiro Oda, creator of One Piece, does a fantastic job arcing that main theme over all side stories. And, believe it or not, there are many, many side stories in One Piece (reasonable, as it spans several hundred episodes). However, the side stories, too, are captivating. They each have deep stories and great character development. The enemies are a bit predictable early on, but later Oda emphasizes their human qualities. They go from being the big bad guy to being only human--they've got their own troubles and are just trying to succeed in their own way. For the reasons stated above, I'd give One Piece a 9/10 for story.

Animation (8) - This one is pretty straightforward. With its massive budget, One Piece can hire very professional animators. However, early on the animation wasn't as top notch. In addition, due to the fast paced fighting scenes, some of the animation can be jumpy. However, as the series has progressed, these problems have worked themselves out.

Sound (8) - Sound has the same problems and positive aspects that animation has.

Character (9) - Oda does a fantastic job keeping track of, and reusing in applicable situations, hundreds of characters. In addition, the main characters, not limited to the heroes, all receive their own story arcs, ranging from enemies getting minor stories to allies getting entire arcs dedicated to them. Oda humanizes the characters and makes them understandable, while accentuating their traits to create "hero" personalities. The character development in One Piece is outstanding for a shonen story.

Enjoyment (10) - One Piece is simply enjoyable. It is light-hearted at the correct times, intense at opportune moments, and tear-jerking when it needed to be. One Piece seizes your interest.
