Animation: I'm starting with animation because I had a big problem with it. The animation by itself was pretty dang good, unfortunately pretty much every single action scene was full CGI, only the background was drawn. At least 20 minutes (probably more) of this movie was pure CGI, and for that animation only gets 3/10

Story: I loved the start of the movie, it was everything I wanted out of an end of the world movie, but I really disliked where they went with the movie. They did not have nearly enough time to developed the story properly with the plot line they took, and even if this was a 12, or 24 episode series I probably still be disappointed with the direction they went. I would have very much enjoyed a "normal" small group survival apocalypse movie, where they just try and survive and maybe try and figure out how the world went to shit. I't wasn't horrible though, I know a lot of other people will like the direction they went and enjoy this movie thoroughly. I loved the start, and disliked the direction they went so I am going to give story a rating of 5/10.                                                                                                                                                                                 Sound: The music was alright, a lot of fairy tail sounding music (as in fairy tail stories, not the anime fairy tail.) Over all there was nothing memorable about the sound, so I will be awarding this section 4/10.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     Characters: Kasumi Ishiki, the main character, was a whiny dumb ass and would have died so many times if nobody saved her. Katherine Turner, the only other female in the main cast, was also a whiny idiot who only cared about a little boy, who was also in the main cast. Everyone else was alright, I didn't have any big problems with the other cast. So for this category, I will be awarding King of Thorns another subpar score of 4/10.

Enjoyment:                                                                                                    Again I loved the beginning, but not much else. 4/10

The anime-story is too in depth and confusing but not that bad. It had my head spinning but i got the plot in the end. You will only understand if you watch it yourself the art is not bad. The characters is a hole another story they cud of spent more time on them and the personality's. It had a iry sound and background but that about it. all together i give it 6/10

An enjoyable film which unfortunately suffered due to the fact it was a film and not a series. It would have benefited from the longer time of even just a 12 episode show in order to develop and show more. I personally really enjoyed it, watching after I managed to read the first volume of the manga at my local library and unfortunately have not yet been able to read the rest, which does mean I can't judge just how long was actually needed to do the story and characters justice.

I loved the characters and seeing how the whole situation affected them each in different ways. Particularly the characters of Marco, Kasumi and Ron.

The setting and concept were interesting, and I thought, quite engaging. As I said earlier they simply struggled with the time constraints of a 110 minute film to do everything justice.

Overall though it was still entertaining and I found myself engaged, as such this film was a success for me.
