Heart no Kuni no Alice: Wonderful Wonder World
劇場版ハートの国のアリス~Wonderful Wonder World~The girly but bloody otome game re-imagining of Lewis Carroll's classic fantasy novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland with bishounen characters and added romance. A parody of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland where Alice is smart and non-doormatlike. In this story, Alice is not all what she seems. She is practical, strong, yet darkly cynical. Instead of the tradition story, Alice is kidnapped unwillingly by a mysterious (yet somewhat bishie-looking) man with bunny ears into a place call Heartland. Stuck in Heartland due to a trick by the mysterious bunny eared man, she meets the residents of this world. Along the way, Alice meets Blood, handsome mafia leader; Ace, the psycho yet charming knight and more... What should Alice do in such a world!? (Source: MU)

I had high expectations of it but this was a let down. You definitely need to at least read the manga to understand this otherwise it's way too confusing. There was no development of anything (plot or character). It's just a bunch of random scenes cut up and pasted together. The timeline is messed up and the movie fails to utilize the whole "crazy land, nothing makes sense here"/Alice in Wonderland aesthetic.

Story: A bit confusing which would normally be expected due to the nature of 'Wonderland' being weird in any show/movie/book, however the story seemed to jump around/was not linear. Animation: ok, the fight scenes weren't particularly well done. Sound: fine. Character: Absolutely no development due to the short time and the story jumping around. Some characters who seemed like they would be main characters (due to them being in the opening and named specifically at the beginning) where barely seen throughout the movie.

Story:
It would have been better if the story line wasn't jumping all over the place. First you're in the beginning then it jumps to the middle which gets you confused and then it jumps back to the beginning. After that it jumps back to the middle where you left off.
I'll still plan to read the manga and I hope that it isn't too confusing.
Animation: I did like the animation
Sound: I don't remember since I watched it a while ago.
Character: I watched it a while back, but since the story kept going all over the place; the characters weren't develop properly. I did like Alice and the Mad Hatter(I forgot his name)
Enjoyment: Like I said... The story was all over the place that I didn't understand it at all, that is until I got to the end. I didn't enjoy it too much.
Overall: The animation was good. I would have given it a better score if the story line had a better flow.

I'm a huge fan of Lewis Carroll and anything that is Alice in the Wonderland related. The manga that this is adapted to provides great plot and character development. Reading the manga, I was very excited for an anime adaption.
Heart no Kuni no Alice: Wonderful Wonder World gives a really good idea of how Wonderland is: whimsical and confusing. However, I am disappointed in this anime adaption because the scenes skip around so much rather than focusing on one plot. The anime provides no character development at all. It seems the anime follows a stream of consciousness, but I honestly doubt it.
The film wastes a lot of time on pointless scenes that only those who read the manga would understand. The basic idea of this anime is that Alice is tricked into Wonderland and events, which follow no order, happen to her.
The anime presents Alice in a reverse harem, but doesn't show very much conflicts between the males who are attracted to her, except that scene with Ace and Peter White. And this anime doesn't do a very good job at presenting the very base of Wonderland, the conflict between the areas. The way they try to relate the Queen of Hearts to Mad Hatter is definitely not done well.
To sum it up:
-This is extremely confusing to anyone that has not read the manga.
-Go read the manga instead (it's good. trust.)
