Ghost Hunt
ゴーストハントWhile at school, Taniyama Mai and her friends like to exchange ghost stories. Apparently, there is an abandoned school building on their campus that is the center of many ghost stories. During the story, they are interrupted by a mysterious male figure. The person turns out to be Shibuya Kazuya, a 17-year-old who is president of the Shibuya Psychic Research Company. He was called by the principal to investigate the stories surrounding the abandoned school building. The next day, on the way to school, Mai passes the school building in question. While examining a strange camera she spotted inside, she gets surprised by Kazuya's assistant. Unknowingly interfering with the investigation, Mai breaks the camera and Kazuya's assistant gets injured. Kazuya forcefully hires Mai in order to pay for the camera and replace his injured assistant. From that point on, Mai begins to learn about the paranormal world and the profession of ghost hunting. (I try to keep my reviews short and sweet and straight to the point without giving away spoilers with that said lets get this show on the road)
This anime had potential to be something more however I felt like they took short cuts.
Character development was zero but overall enjoyable.
This show has
1. Supernatural (They fight/slay ghost,spirits and monster)
2. No gore/blood (A little here and there both nothing special)
3. No romance (Nothing heavy except for crushes)
4. Action ( They fight the supernatural)
5. Comedy (Little jokes nothing to take over the main reason of the anime)
Overall 14+ should watch this anime. Anime is good if you are now starting to break through in the anime world. There is nothing special about this anime it is decent. 7/10

It is a really good anime if you are into mystery or the supernatural. Even if you don't like romance, there is some really good moments, though they are few and far in between. The early episodes are good, but it gets more interesting around the second story. After you learn more about the characters and their abilities and personalities. It's really easy to take your time and enjoy this anime.
Tech:
The episodes are based in chapters or case files. Which is a great idea, having 3-4 episodes per story.
I haven't really seen this before watching it.
So it is a nice change to have them restricted to a few episodes.
Having said that it would of been nice to have more episodes to see more development of the characters. The animation is done very well from the backgrounds to the character animation. It seems to just flow with the story at a nice pace. Each character has its own style based on their certain profession.
Conclusion :
The only thing is that they wrapped it up really quickly.
I wish that they would make more of this anime or this type of anime. If you like the story check out the manga, because I think there is more content. Some of the stories can get a little sad and one gets really dark. But don't let that discourage you from watching this anime. I recommend this as a long term anime watching the stories in bits to enjoy the story.

Story
First, let’s talk about genres. Like any other person who’s about to sit down and watch something called “Ghost Hunt,” I expected it to be really scary and maybe even bloody. Ghost Hunt did have those moments, but a lot of it was also focused on comedy and even a bit of romance, as the series is a shoujo anime. Luckily, the comedy was actually pretty funny, and it didn’t get in the way of the actual scary scenes. However, it’s not the comedy or the horror that really shines in Ghost Hunt, but the mystery.
The mysteries were entertaining and mostly unpredictable, but not in a way that just left you without anything to go on. The background stories of the numerous ghosts and spirits that they met were just as intriguing as the journey to get rid of the ghosts.
The only flaw in Ghost Hunt’s story is that it doesn’t have an over-arcing plot. Instead, it is split up into different cases that take from one episode to four episodes. I call it a flaw because I know some people don’t like it, but I personally loved this aspect of the series.
Ghost Hunt has this peculiar atmosphere, that is both lighthearted and creepy at the same time. I really love this atmosphere, but I’m not sure how to describe it other than with the word “autumn.” The whole series does not take place in autumn, there’s even a Christmas episode, but it just gives off that kind of feeling.
Animation
I love the animation and style in Ghost Hunt. It doesn’t have that overbearingly detailed shoujo art style, but somehow still looks shoujo. The only problem I have with the animation doesn’t really have to do with the animation itself, but with the fact that the opening/ending animation is sort of boring. The character designs were pretty nice, definitely much better than the original light novel’s designs… no offense.
Sound
The music, composed by Toshio Masuda, is really awesome. The opening and ending themes have a very Danny Elfman-like feeling to them, and that’s a huge compliment, because Danny Elfman is awesome. The music is fitting and nice to listen to on it’s own, and there are both bright, happy pieces for the comedy scenes and creepy, suspenseful tracks for the more serious scenes. Ghost Hunt has a great soundtrack.
Characters
There are a lot of characters in Ghost Hunt, and they are all unique and make for a fun cast. The main ghost-hunting group consists of seven people. Mai is the main character, and rather than being annoying and useless like I expected, she ended up being a fairly good ghost hunter, and someone who was really fun to watch.
Shibuya, (AKA Naru, for narcissistic), is another one of the main characters, and to be honest, he starts off as being quite the douchebag. In fact, he’s basically an emotionless, mysterious jerk when the anime first starts. But later on, he develops to be a bit more friendly. See, Ghost Hunt has some pretty good character development. It’s not particularly in depth or anything, but it’s still something.
The other five in the group are Lin, the quiet and rude assistant of Shibuya who doesn’t end up becoming any friendlier; Masako, the calm and mature TV medium; Takigawa, the friendly and loveable monk; John, the good-nature Australian priest; and Ayako, the hot-bloode Shinto priestess. The group becomes a family of sorts, and it’s actually really comforting and heartwarming to watch their interactions.
Enjoyment
I absolutely love Ghost Hunt. The mysteries and the atmosphere and the loveable characters make for something worthy of being watched every year, come October.
Final Conclusion: 10/10 (I am easily impressed. But remember, this final conclusion is based off of enjoyment!)

I fell in love with this anime almost instantly. It's mix between terrifying, paranormal activity, suspense, comedy relief, and the tiny bit of romance (well it's more of just a crush) is perfectly balanced to pull you right it. Each case brings on a whole new challenge, and a different part of the supernatural world. Definately one of my new favorites.

Ghost Hunt
Where to begin? Lets begin with the positives and we'll work ourselves into the negatives. The positives:
Each arc is very interesting, I watched this entire series in a day with my friend and did not find myself bored once. At the end of one episode we were so eager for the next one we skipped the credits, it showed us the end of disk screen and we both screamed 'WHAT?' so there was no point i was really disinterested in the show itself.
The animation isn't gorgeous but it's nothing too bad either, it's standard at best but that's not bad. each character looks great and the scenery is fine. The use of camera angles and darkened tones is effective, there is no point i found myself screaming in terror but there were creepy moments.
I only watched the show in English so i can't say much for the Japanese voice acting but the dub was stellar. Every character seemed to fit the voice they were given and even things like John's Australian accent didn't seem out of place. The soundtrack was decent and since my friend skipped the opening every time i didn't get to form an opinion on it.
The problems with this show lie mainly with it's characters, and all of the problems with them could of been fixed with the show being longer. Most if not all of the characters are severely underdeveloped, we know next to nothing about any of them by the end of the series and by the time we start learning anything it's too late.
overall it's a good watch, something i certainatly want in my collection. Just, wish it could of been a little longer so we could of fleshed out the characters more.

Okay well this was a very enjoyable horror, mystery anime with points that made me keep thinking what is going to happen next is a character really going to be killed or something? WELL OF COURSE NOT!.
The anime is broken up into 7 cases which each have about 3-4 episodes all of these are taken up by the Psychic Research Center which call in every other ghost hunter you could say. Every case has its own twist or plot line which made me feel that every cases was just a separate season altogether.
As for the characters well as follows there is a near useless girl, a paranormal investigator, his assistant, a near useless shrine priestess, a monk, a jealous spirit medium and an Australian priest and another assistant.
As for sound effects camera angles and ghostly voices they all do really well to increase the tension or the fright factor of every scene for example the scene with the guy in the bath tub of blood, every camera angle and sound effect manged to scare me.
As for enjoyment I really enjoyed this anime there were some bits of humor here and there and each suspenseful moment kept me watching right until the end.
I highly recomend this anime for any one looking for a small horror or mystery anime
