Kämpfer
けんぷファーWaking up transformed into a beautiful girl might be the stuff of some guys' fantasies, but when the suddenly effeminatized Natsuru is informed by a stuffed tiger that he's now a Kampfer, a mystical fighter who has to fight other Kampfers in female form, his life becomes a living nightmare! Putting aside the obvious "plumbing" issues, Natsuru's best childhood friend turns out to swing the other way and SHE has a crush on his new female body. Not complex enough? Natsuru's school has separate sections for boys and girls, so he and she are now double enrolled. The rumor-mill has it that he's dating herself. And there are other Kampfers attending the school who want to take her out, and he's not sure which ones mean "on a date" and which ones mean "permanently." Oh, and did we mention that some Kampfers use swords and guns?! Hormones, fists, and other body parts will fly as the daring, new gender-bender defender must become a contender or die! Memorable for a terrible reason; This show's protagonist is the most painfully dense male lead you will encounter, ever. That's saying a lot. If he was just a little smarter, this entire show would have been forgotten as quickly as the time taken to sit and endure it.

Big Boobs and action (Sort of...)
But soon you will get annoyed with the main character for how dense he is at looking at Romantic situations..

Opening Thoughts: Kampfer are girls with big breasts that fight against each other for no reason whatsoever, except that someone called "The Moderators" have chosen them to participate in the fight between each which are relayed in messages by stuffed animals. A rather ridiculous concept isn't it? If you couldn't tell already, this is a ecchi/harem anime, that pretty much takes everything from the harem manual, with stereotypes of pretty much every kind of character you can think of.Plot: The plot isn't the strong side of the show, considering that the plot was pretty much nonexistent until episode 9, and by then, everyone was just expecting more random comical fanservice like in the previous 6 episodes. But I will tell you what little of the plot there is anyways, Big-breasted babes are chosen by the moderators to fight against each other in teams of red vs blue, with no ulterior motive, later on the motive is revealed to be a continuation of a fight from a distant galaxy, which no one knows what started the war nor care, and to settle this they decided to continue the fight on earth, while under the watch of the moderators. But in my opinion is just an excuse for the main character, Natsuru to transform into a girl and perform other ecchi related content. The only other premise of the episodes are natsuru trying to win his crush, Sakura to fall head over heels for his boy side, but since she is obviously lesbian, that will never happen, while he also has 3 hot babes just waiting to fuck with him on his male side but is too stupid to notice. SPOILER ALERT: The final plot twist of the series (excuse me, the only one) is that his lesbian companion, Sakura is actually working for the moderators, and she wants Natsuru to join the moderators on his female side and kill the other supporting characters. The ending was a bit disappointing as no one died and the action was little to none. 1/10Characters: The character development of Kampfer wasn't that fantastic, but all of the characters were absolutely comical and all of which participated in fanservice of some kind. The characters were very stereotypical harem anime characters, but It was quite amusing watching one of the supporting characters, Akane, missing every shot she fired with her pistol throughout the entire series, which brings me to the characters transformations into kampfers themselves, Akane, a nerdy shy girl with glasses, turns into a total bitch that threatens everyone around her with her pistol and most of the time scaring the living crap out of natsuru, other stereotypical characters include, Mikoto a childhood friend and Shizuku, a hot student council president who happens to be in love with Natsuru. Another thing about shizuku is, when she transforms the only thing that change is that her inner hair gets white, very disappointing but other than the actual character development itself, all of the characters throughout the show were drop dead funny, and is impossible not to laugh at them. 7/10Entertainment Value: The entertainment level of kampfer is so good, it almost covers up all of the epically fail mistakes and nonexistent plot within the show, the level of ecchi this show has is top notch, and pretty much is the only thing you are going to get, along with natsuru's ignorance to 3 sexy bitches trying to get with him and other comical gags within the show. If you like anime with deep intellectual conversation, millions of plot twists and an actual plot, this anime isn't for you. 10/10Animation: The animation of Kampfer is superb, not having any animation errors in the show, all of the characters, backgrounds and ecchi are all drawn well. 9/10Sound: Sound was a bit unbelievable at times (battle sound effects) but overall the voice actors were excellent and the music was fine as well 8/10Final Thoughts: While the anime itself was extremely amusing, some things just didn't make any sense whatsoever, such as characters slicing through fire, gender transformations and talking stuffed animals, it honestly made the anime very engrossing to watch, While this anime is far from perfect it deserves some props for being very entertaining, and bringing a high level of ecchi onto the table, making it a very good choice for anyone who needs a good laugh, but for the lack of plot and overall development, I sadly will have to take off some major points , but this is one heck of an anime. 7/10
